Endless Highway,
Molded Hideaway.
Folded Golden Bay,
Baking in the Sun.
Friendless- my way.
Hold it; Warm Rays
Sold it- For a Rainy Day.
Faking all the Fun.

red, yellow, green illuminates the road lined with beads of the sky's tears.

the constant honks echoes in the frantic passageway.

frustration makes its prescence felt.

when will this end?

Passionate Creative
with rhythm of music
driving me forward
I've rounded alot of curves
I've taken alot back roads
I got lost a couple times
With my resilient determination
I found my way around the curve
With music keeping me company
This creative journey I've spilled
alot of my poems along the way
Colorful abstracts I do admit
Spiritual some
Fun a few
Daring oh yes
I'm not done yet
There's a long highway ahead
I am not done yet
I hope do my best abstracts
On this last stretch
Keep on Keeping on
My Creative soul

Our song comes on as you hit the gas
75 on the freeway
You're going too fast
But today you don't care
You shout the lyrics
And play with my wind tangled hair

I see this life like a highway
People moving at different speeds
Some are on the fast lane
Some, on the slow lane
People are switching lanes
Some have pulled over by the shoulders
There is constant overtaking
Every one has different destination
But you still notice competition
Some are naive, some are more experienced
The hope and desire of all is to arrive safely
Sadly, some end up not making it there!

he's playing video games on highway 67 and he doesn't know he takes me away - yeah baby you take me away - are we faking it this way - trying to make it some way - blue hues red hues and you keep making that face - why do you keep making that face - drip drip drip on the pavement the ice creams melting and there's no one there to save it - lick it up baby lick it up lick it up - and we're cruising - the society's snoozin - the record spins and we're boozin - loosin any conception of time now baby cuz your mine now baby

Today I died on the freeway
by the overpass on the 427

a hot and relentless August rain
made it too dark to be five thirty

I walked home slowly from work
as you do when you're tired

oh yes, I was sad too
but we all are

it's easy to be sad
when it rains in August

when I reached the overpass
in the middle I leaned over

my hair passed my eyes
and droplets fell

down, down

I thought about it
twenty feet into traffic

the guardrail is never as useful
as a sweet and good-hearted hug

so then I thought better of it
and put my headphones in

I died on the freeway
then got up and kept walking.
A lot of poems about rain and highways recently, but that's only because it's been raining very consistently and I'm on the highway every day. I don't seek out clichés, they find me.
