Day to day
Lips of values; simpler eyes
Wishes so profound, asking if intellect may?
Deciding upon sharing, a whetted appetite for why...

Is a humanity seen, the better voice to lead?
Quiet bother, the serious
If not the scurrilous; a wish so alive in said...
Solace and virtue, a place for each seldom of hope, curious...

Wet eyes, with a moment to tell?
Why the tear of valor, to make a realm in each, a patience?
Having come and went to wisdom for a word, with hell...
Which has become a raging stir, of what was a heart of vanity, with terror for ages?

Your strength, if not the storm of perseverance
I've seen to be; a dance in the sunlight...
Where a sigh of requite, is no requiem, of vehement chance
A voice of change, that has become only better in insight's mind

An obvious example, comes to mine...
If the twain is to be a champion, of what we know for truth
Isn't a wish the future, as if a premonition was forever kind...
Every spirit of determination, asking what is a light to risen youth?
So further, for a mightier word there...

The future foretold
is now passing before us
who is there to blame?

I long for cobbled stone roads
Dim lit stone stairs climbing with ivy
Up buildings built by Romans
adorned with flowers and intricacies
Details honed by Craftsman
Delicately drafting
the landscapes we live in
Unlike the concrete utilitarian steel and glass pillars and highways
Their plight on our journeys in life
To benefit the productivity
but detriment the soul
To capitalize no matter what the cost
Leaving me longing to nap
in a park with Parisians
For fresh baked baguettes on a bench with a bottle of burgundy
For mosaics made of glass in cathedrals built centuries ago
Over billboards and neon lights,
the flashing and screaming
products for purchase
Let me get my dinner after the people have had their naps.
Let it be an occasion
not a necessity to get by
Let's walk the city after 10
while the sky is still bright
Waiting for the dim street lights
to light our way back
To another day of walking
cobble ****** streets

Dear future husband,
It's with a great sense of urgency I write into the future.
Loving me won't be easy
Hailing from a broken home has taught me how love can be a double edge sword.
Therefore, I argue and talk back
I over think and analyse scenarios beyond imagination
I make up arguments before it even happens
I am an overthinker by default
Don't let this scare you.

Dear future husband,
I'd want you to know I am a hopeless romantic with a wall as high as wall of China
But those can easily fall as that of jericho
With you, I'd want a love as white as snow on Christmas
I'd want a never ending friendship as the waters of Niagara falls.
I promise to never stop fighting my inner demons and insecurities
As long as you assure me how we are partners in this ship of ours

Dear future husband,
It's with utmost sincerity that I write to you on this day, because I know I'm finally ready.
I have always hidden in my coven
I await your presence,
And would be welcoming you with open arms when we get to meet
So future habiby, what's the wait for?
I'm sure your ribs must ache enough from a missing piece.

Bellah…
An open letter to my future husband.

I can not change a past future
And it's lookin' ever more likely I can't alter tomorrow either
Hell,
I might not make it through today's slaughter
If something doesn't go in my favor
The odds stack higher and higher
Then are topped with a dumpster fire
It's forever getting harder
To change the mindset of, "why bother?"
I desperately search out shelter
To begin another attempt at a repair
Go figure,
Once again it's a hopeless endeavor
It has me grasping at any answer
Like gasping for air
No thoughts of grandgure here,
Just a father in battle worn armor
But a desperate depression's taking over
Still holding a glimmer of hope, just a sliver
And a half-hearted prayer not to falter
While they tell me I can't possibly know what's in store
I beg to differ...

Thoughts refusing to leave yesterday
Won't stay out of tomorrow
Aware of the price one might pay
For lingering in past sorrow
Or fearing a role one might play
In a future no one could know
Becoming oblivious to the passing of every present day
Standing at a crossroad like, "where'd today go?"

What people work on,

but also what they forget --

determines future.

Wandering a world of traps and likes,
sometimes I stare into the abyss of the blue sky,
and the sun illuminating the garden through the birch trees,
and I wonder if this is happiness.

I wonder how many things I will change in my life,
and I wonder if I'll look back one day and think it was happiness.

I wonder if I will wound up regretting it,
regretting changing myself or my life,
regretting changing my path to fit others' expectations,
or are they my own?

What's left after a person wanders,
wanders and wonders?
the uncertainty around what one's future life will look like based on decisions they are making at the moment
The way was long, and wrapped in gloom did seem
As I urged on to seek my vanished dream;
Yet within my soul I burned,
Not a moment passed, but I longed.
Daily, thoughts raced on the growth of distance
Traced upon by the curve of wrinkles-
The curse of the age
To draw on memories
Hope & fantasy, of what were once
The focus of the future
Belie the life before me
