The beautiful nature, the extensive land
laid on acres and acres of a misruled calm
An outward reservation of well kept grounds

Children play as they skid on grassy slopes
They open their jaws and laugh about a morrow
A joy they spread is tangible but not superficial.

The little ones have no worry of the world
They jump, fool around and have fun
A circle of embracive moments spread in currents

The babes lit the day and in the night they slumber
Even their brightness resonates the ray of the sun above them
They leap and grow older as the time progresses.

How will they ever know what awaits?
Mine childhood was a ball of imagination and curiosity
A thirst to dig, fall, progress and sink in the depths of an abyss
death toll increases everyday,
can the madness end?
The music box keeps rolling on,
"Til' death do us part"

They say our eyes are biggest in our childhood
and cease to grow thereafter.
I speculate it's because the older we get,
the less we see.

Do I dare count the men
Who have slithered between my legs?
Is “What’s your number?” just a possible question
Or is it a question that begs?

Do I dare add merit to fluid actions
That ripples through life’s ebb?
Or will such an answer create disruption?
Will it wrestle with my head?

And if this is so, do I have a duty
To answer this knocking question?
Am I neglecting, truly,
A responsibility privilege presented?

Can I face this number without hurt?
Is it truly unimportant?
Or with it will I uncover a sting?
Will I unveil undue torment?

Curiosity rears its head
Maybe years from now I will face it
But for now I fear that I’m much too vulnerable
Granted its importance was merely created

I am just as curious as the man who created
The importance of such summing
But his legacy is much too strong for me
Through shallow eyes
Such as mine
It will endow me *unbecoming.

you were like a library
filled with stories
bounded in different dimensions
you were begging to be visited
by many different people
eating more experiences
as you sat there with a stare
the curious girl that you are
never really understood
what really happens in the real world, far from the books
you haven't lived for too long
to know that authors just write
to escape the harsh reality
sometimes i myself find a non-fictional or historical book hard to believe. it must be too perfect to be true, and the writers must have wanted to embed it into the illusional world forever

There are many mysteries here on earth
Even the earth is a mystery itself since birth
There are many questions in my mind
To which I do not know where to find

Unexplainable things that puzzled me.
Leaving me alone in the middle of the sea.
Letting me drown in deep curiosity,
Things that can't unravel even by a witty.

As my mind begins to wonder,
I am compelled to wander;
Going ever further,
The distance ever farther.

Lately the sun’s warmed the sea, the fish hide deep
still as we sail you say to me these nets just washed let down,
I obey, for my brother names you Messiah, found,
and I wonder what you are that catches crowds—
suddenly I haul away at weight that weighs the boat
to sinking, I spent weeks worth working for half a load
as large as this, impossible cargo your power calls
and I cry leave me at your feet among the fish, face low,
for the blood of days is on my hands,
and in me there is too much man
but you stay with words I don’t understand:
*You have a new name, Peter, don’t be afraid
we’ll catch men in the waters of this world.
Part One in my Lenten journey with Peter
I see you looking,
I see you staring,
I see you glaring,
I see you guessing.

Can you see me standing?
Can you see me sitting?
Can you see me smiling?
Can you see me crying?

Do I look like I'm begging?
Do I look like I'm asking?

For what?

Do I look like I'm suffering?
Do I look like I'm dying?

From what?

Can you turn it down,
My sight is turning deaf,
The sharpness echoing through town.
I can see you churn theft.

I can't deny,
Because there is a lie,
Then the other is dry,
A truth that cannot die.

the choice must be made, early on
to break from ****** caste
resign or conform to the herd
imitators en masse

to differ from this path of sheep
avoid more traveled by
for without curiosity
feebly disqualify

in these shallows, lie shallow words
with hint of substance found
remarks of minute, shielded songs
trivial, temporal sounds

lone whispered tales who dared into
dangerous distant seas
souls and hearts tapped by the allure
of what’s beyond the reef

meaning resides in deeper seas
where there is more at stake
and to ignore is praised by most
lacking courage to take

ideas are worth discussing
for those toward meaning go
first color sunrise worth noting
for takers of breaths slow

ignorance is not kiss of bliss
interest charts a new course
sanctioned preceded expansion
infinity’s deep heart

diatribes of desperation
too wonderful for Job
standing on shoulders of giants
visibility ‘n hope

from a shaded view use reason
capacities collide
intelligence, intuition
clear out views of this side

confidence is not inflection
the deep hold a bit more
eyes would rather dart through rooms than
admit what’s in the drawer

follow ideas all the way
carry them to the brink
devote it all to the open
where air is clean to think

the song’s sustenance can increase
beyond a passage bend
if the spark looms advantageous
then chase it to the end

provide occasions to evoke
the theories tracked in snow
uncertain lies the pendulum
of which direction goes

the first foggy ports of entry
where these journeys commence
encompass only distant lights
and often awful tests

allow the stronger light to blind
and bounce it off the halls
sounding boards of experience
ancient or modern calls –

calls leviathan, nebula
noble time unwasted
mysteries must be lost to gain
temporary o’ sacred

a dim reflection skips a beat
complete with foreign tune
matter not wholly familiar
where voice and image loom

inside - or outside - looking in
peering at copy dark
impressing shadow silhouettes
awake only in part

potentials are adorned within
the self-inflicted chains
honest laughs never lean
where unseen depths remain

elude the rank and file marching
van gogh’s for a dollar
valued only after its lost,
tapped or gandered through fire

compassion is never compare
one loves and one condones
one can conjure beings and tribes
the other's shoes, always their own

but fires do not completely fade
for those who stand in awe
love and shadows sincerely make
partial beauty withdraws

beauty comes suddenly, cleanly
when the thing comes at all
for unpursued and dimly lit
zipping boundless or small

evasive through the chattel herd
beyond the unexplored
echoing all senses at once
recognized or ignored

its grandeur through stories to heirs
that echo manifests
its rhythm, bearing, and function
wise to youth, wise near death

beauty's power, intangible
a high altitude veil
unspoken in its reflection
unseen with notice fail

intend on custom prison break
drop union from revel
no suffering o' comparison
the truth now the level

so pass shallows for deeper seas
with curious woken heads
and cast off cares of aversion
for soul’s empathy instead
