We are astronouts of mind
landing on each others’ moon
just to discover the beauty
behind those distinct craters.

We are astronouts of soul
reaching to each others’ star
to divulge the perfect imperfection
lying from those twinkle.

After attaining in the new dimension
Your eyes are locked on mine
So that I can perceive vast galaxy
instead of just pupils.

And when you smile at me
every ounce of my breath
floats like midnight smoke
that refuses to vanish.
A little throwback with some sense of feeling.

This generation
Is obsessed
Begging for an ovation
This nation
Is in preparation
For the worst
But it’s already started
Things have gone south
Into the uncharted
Hard-hearted
That’s what I am
You are
We are
All the phony stars
The famous people
Standing a top their great steeple
They’re not better than us
None of us are
We try
But this world is so bad
It’s enough to make a grown man cry
Grown men cry
Single moms sigh
Because this world is going south
No one trusts
Each other anymore
We ruined this world
Anger swirls
At this world of ashes
From the fire of hate
I hate
This hate
Contradiction.
Chrissy Ade Nov 2019
I was born a walking contradiction
Destined to be misunderstood by others
I am quiet in places where I should be loud
Shaking the ground so it caves and swallows in
But I am also loud in places I should be quiet
Breaking the walls before listening to their stories
I blend myself to fit into places where I don't belong
And I belong in places where I cannot blend
I'm the puzzle piece you can't quite figure out
But you hope to come back to someday
I am difficult to figure out, a perplexing individual
I am an enigma, a mystery you can never solve
Don't try to figure me out, I haven't even figured myself out.

What is in your nature?
For what cause do you bleed?
The lights flicker on and off
You smile amidst the scoffs
Darling, you are so hard to read

I’ve got questions for your creator
You continue to perplex me
You’re the moon amidst the dawn
How are you here and so far gone?
I do not know how to proceed

Something is hidden in the inseam
I see the thorns upon the rose
The coolness amidst the heat
The beauty only hides the beast
The more I learn, the less I know

My dear, what is in your nature?
Where do you choose to stand and fall?
I am coaxed and yet afraid
Take so much pleasure in the pain
Complexities within your call

Oh loveliness inside the tempest
Oh endless pit in which I dive
I choose to venture to the depth
Though it may be till death
It’s makes me aware I’m alive

She's made up of all the right mixture of chaos and beauty
She inhales all the dark and the light
Her steps are as soft as rose
and as strong as it's roots

She's made up of all the right mixture of rights and wrongs
She reasons with the storm within herself
Her voice is as soothing as the wind's blow
and as strong as the tornado

She's made up of all the right mixture of love and lust
She seduces the strongest of men
Her vision is as tempting as hot chocolate with marshmallow on a winter night
and as calming as a mother Bear's hug

I thought you were sent from heaven,
But you came straight from hell.
clawing, scratching, gnawing me down.
Not even “God” can save us now.
Te hodiste. “**** it.”
Pobrecito. “Poor thing.”
Cooing like a child who steals your heart,
Never to return.

He is a saviour;
A reason to live and a reason to die.
It’s a raging sea in a rain drop
Warmer than sun, but colder than ice.
She is madness, sanity
She is hell, paradise.
Breathing the galaxy,
releasing the stars.
She releases her phoenix wings, burning the ashes,
Leaving her with a scared soul,
But shining with courage.
