The pendulum of time swings back and forth
and touches all those who regard it’s worth.
There isn’t any indication of when it will stop
because none can foretell that time of the clock.

It includes all living creatures that move along
and there are some who recall it with a song.
In so many ways they’re somehow involved
as they know without it nothing gets resolved.

I am feeling so anxious now
I ponder what the future holds
All I can do is sit here
And watch as our story unfolds

I'm hoping for the very best
Yet the worst is what I fear
The days ahead loom long before us
At the same time they are so near

I lose myself in my worry and
The ticking clock in the waiting room
I'm not prepared. Is anyone
ever ready to face sudden doom?
I hate waiting for people at the doctors when they get lab results back, I always just assume the worst because that is what usually happens to me.

little alice feels so small in the corner of the room
The walls are quite empty
The room is quite boring.
Air becomes thick within layers
overthinking shackles little alice
little alice cannot think anymore.

sometimes little alice can hear
a rabbit running outside
she so desperately wants to follow him
the little rabbit's watch ticks
the clock ticks slower
ticktickticktick
tick      tick                            tick

the room
can't breathe
                                                                              tick

⏱⌛️
The clock is ticking, such a peaceful sound
The two guardians patroling, all the way round

Seconds, minutes, hours pass by
So slow and quiet, like a lullabye

The red one is the fastest, unlike the other two
Its so thin and fast, you can't see how it goes

Lots of machines, yet no such noise
Out of nowhere, it gives you a joy

Its like an eye, this huge clock
Its like a person, repeating tick and tock

Making you lock its eyes on it
Forcing you to think

How much time is left?
How much time you spend?

I also wrote this two years ago, probably at the same day and also doesn't has a title so I'll think about it now.

TIC-TOC by Jessie 5/06
10pm. I go to sleep
11pm., awake
12am. I toss and turn
How long, will this process take?
1am, I grab a drink
Read a little from my book
2am, I have to ***
From the drink I took
3am, dozing off
Until startled by the dog
Can’t remember the last time
I was sleeping like a log
4am, the moon is bright
Shining in my eyes
Pull the blanket across my face
From the light, I hide
5am, it’s hard to breath
Take the covers off my face
Still can’t sleep, I hear you snore
While the ceiling, my eyes trace
6am, one eye is shut
I’m tired and I yawn
Sound asleep, I start to dream
Then wakened by my alarm
7am, time to get up
Shower, shave and eat
Head to the car
Drink in hand
Shuffling both my feet
8am, punch the clock
Sitting at my desk
Lean back in my chair
Feet are up to rest
Blink one time too many
Until, they open not
5pm time to go
Some sleep I finely got

Forgotten Patriarch…by Jessie 2/07

Forty seasons twice removed
A single snowflake falls
Colorless days, in shades of gray
Trapped within four walls
No one visits; no one cares
Forgotten patriarch
Tiny room; drab and cold
Sterile, white and stark
Crystal clear half the day
Empty all the rest
Many times, lost in transition
Finding life a test
Once a month a note is sent
Seemingly to care
Hours pass, staring at the words
In optimistic stare
On the wall behind the bed
Hanging is a clock
Marking time religiously
As the pangolin swings and rocks
Time has slowed to trap this soul
Won’t release it to its fate
Stuck within this stasis
At an agonizing rate

Emeralds in your eyes
Are now a dying Gatsby light
My heart knew no boundaries
Until you left
Now I’m staring at
Your white picket fence
Outside looking in
Unwelcome to the family
You created on a whim.
There’s nothing different
I could have done
To make you mine
Your words change
Like a ticking clock
And your muted actions
Feel like falling
Face first on rocks
This is not
The end for me
I’ll find love greater than
Your guilted misery
And I will try
To let these feelings die
Without playing I spy
A liar in disguise.

Times are:
He wishes upon no change
For the clock to turn its face
So lips do as those do who dare to be silent
So hands do as those do who dare to be still

As he can stop none of inevitable,
As he mourns of predestined strings,
As a marionette stands alone,
He too stands alone.
You are never alone. // Nunca estás solo.

Tick Tock
The clock inside me,
runs me ever so tightly
I hear the wheels in my mind
tossing and turning
I want these empty feelings to stop
but I know fate is inevitable

Tick Tock
The days of my life,
are set in a timer
The living air I breath
are soon to cease
The thoughts I feel
will soon lose meaning
A poem that I’ve written years ago, hopefully it is still well today (:

Red ink all smothered at the bay of my palms ,
Need a quill to collect and stop the bleeding crust
Small rusty hands and yet like water gaging in
Blank spaces , open minds and blank faces seeping in
Help me move while the clock says
Tick tock
Fly to the stars like an airplane
Time stops
As the dead star passes
Another lights up
Help me choose
Before I give up
