In this space and time, that we call memories,

Eyes closed tight…we wince to recall special moments long gone.

Some, we merely exist to relive, and others are meant for painful lessons learned.

Strumming through the cobwebs, we coerce ourselves through this jaded door,

Only to find, this time, a feeling of sorrow followed by expressions of grief.

Like a bank account, we deposit memories daily,

Some are easily recalled and others are over and done.

It’s those memories that reside within our hearts that cause special remembrance,

And miraculously, we have the ability to morph these from anguish to memories of tranquil joy!

*Sending a smile and all my love to you…….. I’ll be watching for you in the stars.

you'll never know how it feels
to be a potato being fried
being mixed with salt or cheese powder
as people eat and digest you in their stomach

you'll never know how it feels
to be a teddy bear being hugged
or punched at because of its softness
since it has no life so you just kept doing it

you'll never know how it feels
to be the fat kid in your class
because you were popular
and everyone admired the pretty ones

you'll never know how it feels
to be gay as people tear you apart
because you're a disgrace
and the bible told you you're invalid

you'll never know how it feels
to be black because your skin is clear
and they never tried to **** you
because of your race and skin color

you'll never know how it feels
to be vincent van gogh as he tried
to poison himself by eating yellow paint
and drinking turpentine

you'll never know how it feels
to be a **** victim
whether you're a man or a woman
because you kept thrusting and it hurt

you'll never know how it feels
to be in heaven or hell
because you're dead
and you're starting somewhere ahead
trigger warning// it contains sensitive material

Since nobody knows
since we can’t know
what happens next
what comes after
since nothing is proven
and
nobody knows

what if…
after casket is sealed
and
lowered

after cremation dust
is
tossed
to the wind

after a body
becomes a gift
to
the sea

what if…
each person’s belief
is
what then unfolds

heaven
or
stardust

reincarnated
enlightened
or
feeding the worms

if you believe
in
nothing
that’s what you’d
become

but
if you're not sure
what you believe

then what?

“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is - infinite.”
― William Blake

.
In this room
Drowning,
In ocean flesh,
Our days, replay,
With eyes cut
Out under sheet
Of stars.  All is
Not real, screened
For a soul, lost
On the dry lands
We bury ourselves
In.

      One day we shall
Wake into the sun,
And bathe in the light
Of unbridled constellation
And voids deeper than
Life, holy and actual
Like drowning flesh,
Come, alive in sky,
Lit by eternal sheen,
Lost memories, grace,
Being burn, new sparkle,
Cast to air, as embers preen.
“In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown, and in between, there are doors.”
― William Blake

Not a

But a

Listen to the crying cats at the pianos

and the howling dogs at the bars

Swallow a pit until it's jammed in your throat

and try not to cry out,

Eat my soul, and spit it all out.

Wrapped around my skulls is this illness

of the mellow blues and dead honey bees

Bring the dead back to light with water and ****,

let her light her cigarette,

she's had a very, very, long death.

Are your proud of who I am?
Or are you rolling in your grave ashamed.
You were the pillar that held up my walls,
and answered all of my calls.

I never hurt so bad, so when did I ever lower my guard?
My dreams, my aspirations, my goals, my life revolved around you.
Always with a smile, I was a fool that never grew,
because you were the pillar who took all life threw.

How much abuse did you endure? It must have been stressful, I'm sure.
I'm sorry my lover, I could have done more, if only I knew.
Not a day goes by that I'd rather be asleep than awake, so that I won’t have to relive all my mistakes.

Eventually your walls toppled over, so did my heart.
With the blink of the eye, your ardent flame came to an end.
I’m sorry my lover, if only I knew, I would beg god for more time.

So please tell me that you are not ashamed,
Send me a sign, that I have grown and became great!
That I am no longer the same and have changed!

Tell me my lover, for I am starting to think Ive grown but insane.
Am I everything you wished for?
Or your greatest mistake?

Forgive me lover,
For deep down I know I was the greatest mistake.

I am scarier as an invitational being
Draw me a context and watch me come to life
Strive with me, we will be friends
Come and watch as unity does commence

Try and wake up in Arcadia
And watch as you lie still
The rings of Saturn turn
And the world turns downright cold

But you won't wake up again

Trust me; I've never been so timid
Every grin grimace is as lifeless as my own
Even our souls have begun to tendril shut
Forward thinking and forward feeling
Did I take you? Sorry, I didn’t mean to

Each breath drawn colder
Each breath taken lightly
Shoulder to shoulder
Beings of all shapes
Beings with minds shaped, molded and singular

They all hunger

For you, one way or another

The eyes once drawn apart
Have found their way together
Right and left
Every breath
Working on into forever
Like it or not
And I'm sure you don’t know
We will surface soon
And then we will float

Try waking up in Arcadia
You will never wake up in Arcadia
The rings of Saturn turn
And the world became void
But the dream is all there is
You have been awake
There is no awareness
I am doomed
I don't know what i was thinking
Francie Lynch Mar 2017
I learned to ask for nothing
At an awful early age;
And nothing gets monotonous,
Cause nothing stays the same.

As I grew in beingness,
Nothing never changed.

I expect nothing less
When I'm aged and grey;
Cause nothing still awaits for me
When cold and in my grave.

Don't dwell on your afterlife,
Don't fret on what you got;
After all the prayers are done,
There's nothing in the box.
Title taken from "Being and Nothingness," by J.P. Sartre.

I'm so sorry, I really am,
I failed you,
Guess that's all I ever did

And you loved me sincerely,
Now I wanna wake you,
But I can't, and I'm so sorry

I envy all of those that from now on
are with you
and those that see you smile

So when I look up at the stars
I pray for you
and for your soul, that's more to me then mine

Almost every single day
I think of you
that's not enough, though, I know

And once in a while
I cry for you
at night, until I fall asleep

with tears on my face and your name on my lips

and still I know that     I will never deserve you     as long as I'm alive
