Waves
I rode the crested waves
that graced the coptic sea
And crashed into the shores
of North Africa

The water was as warm
The blood hotter still
No one went on living
unless they had the will

You never made a friend
nor aquaintence by the hill
Life was sweet and short
Too easy to be killed

Your best friend was a bottle
A cigarette would do
And in emergencies
a colt 45 was too

We smuggled guns and roses
across the white hot sands and dunes
We bartered in broken languages
while whistling a softer tune

With a third eye looking back
where bullets would fall as rain
On our way to Gibraltar
One dip salute , rev the engine of the plane

There is no water to quench you
To wash away the sins
The waves of guilt run over you
They bring the sharks with fins

Falling into temptation
I tripped and fell into temptation
The hole was exceptionally deep
The futher that I fell
the deeper I would sink
I built stairs
that were made up of all colors of lies
But the more that I made
the top was never nye
But the hole was much deeper
than all the stairways made to Heaven
I needed a friend to save me
one who converts sin into salvation
from bread that must be unleavened

Nothing to say
I really have nothing to say
It's the echo ,"Number nine , number nine."
As I stand remembering the words ,
"Steel and Glass , steel and glass."
"While my guitar gently weeps."

There was "Lucy in the sky with diamonds."
I thought I'd never be the same
"Happiness is a warm gun."
"And we all lived beneath the waves
in our yellow submarine."

The love Of Woman
The love of woman
flows through me
like the blood in my veins
The heart aches
with or without them
There is no air as fresh
as the kiss of the one you love
Can you compare the embrace
To that of God ?
There is nothing more beautiful
than watching her sleep in peace
Nothing can you share as endearing
The love of woman
makes me a man

The Pen and My Paper
The pen and my paper
my Lord and my Savior
Still all my days
remain so dark

Black blood , red ink
The thoughts on the brink
The sponge soaks up pain
Called my heart

The window and the glass
The curtain and the sash
There is no relief
On either side

I don't know how life became what it is
Sometimes it let's me go so down

I pound on the door
It won't open any more
The agony ending days
Remain unsealed

The blue of the sky
Just makes me want to cry
The emptiness of the void
scares me . . . to death

Each page my forsaker
My life is there

Comments :

The Thaumaturge : When we're we supposed to get our invites ?

Thomas A Robinson : What ? You didn't get one ? Must be some kind of oversight !

The T. : I'm sending you hate mail as we speak so that you know my address this time .

TAR. : Will do , I'll be in wait . . . not !

The T. : I don't own a car and I was reading a book literally the other day .

Craig Moore : Is the ball going to be under a bridge ?

TAR. : Of course !

The T. : I feel like I'd be shunned at a trolls only ball since I'm more of an antitroll if anything .

TAR. : Well it takes one to break one .

The T. : Nice to know my efforts don't go unnoticed .

Craig Moore : But there is only one ?

TAR. : Proxy ! ! !

The T. : Oh alright . I've got like a billion of those .

TAR. : That's proxies , not proxy !

The T. : Yeah , I've got a billion proxy .

TAR. : Proxies ! ! !

The T. : No I have a lot of proxy .

TAR. : Ha ha , that sounds moxy !

The T. : Is it just a little bit foxy ?

TAR. : Now I'm shredding your invitation !

The T. : What ! Why ? I thought that would be a perfect example of trolling . Don't make me drop the B-bomb !

TAR. : Trolling - the act of dragging a lure or bait behind a boat in the hopes of attracting a fish to bite the bait or lure becoming hooked and caught . You're troll bait .

The T. : That was the whole proxy/proxies thing ! And as for you , you are a troll incarnate TAR and not even a clever one .
Yeah Thomas ! Leave yourself alone ! Anyway I was supposed to be invited but they tore it up after I arrived .

TAR. : And you call yourself a miracle worker ?

The T. : You want a miracle ! I'll show you a miracle !

TAR. : What ? Hack my account ? Been done already .

The T. : That's not a miracle . Tell me what would impress you ?

TAR. : Simple , eliminate all trolls from here permanately . Should be only a minor miracle .

Tap . Tap . Tap .

TAR. : I see he cannot eliminate even one troll .

The T. : What are you talking about ? They're all gone !

TAR. : Smoke and mirrors . Don't gaslight me ! I'm an optimist . One who sees through fog clearly .

The T. : My only weakness .

TAR. : So put up or shut up .

The T. : Honest is the best policy .

TAR. : Honesty ! ! !

The T. : Thomas A Robinson your obscene proclamations are easily dismissed by adults . What would you do to a child in a public restroom ?

TAR. : I would call you for advice . Whoops ! No I wouldn't ! I would take the knife out of your hand .

The T. : You remove the knife from my hand only to find out that I'm actually a large swarm of bees wearing a trench coat .

TAR. : I would be the bee and tan your hive !

The T. : Maybe make a moovee out of it ?

TAR. : Bagging the killer B's . Pyrethium dreams . Your honey's run dry . You sting me I **** you .

The T. : That'd just **** me twice .

TAR. : Well good night Miracle worker . Don't let the bee mites bite .

The T. : I hate those bee mites , sweet dreams are made of bees .

TAR. : Ha Ha Ha , dear Annie Lennox is fumigating now . You're a Pox on everyone .

Mya-Angel Madden : How dare I miss the Ball of Trolls ! Whatever happened to Lucifer ? **** .

TAR. : Ah , the days of Lucy, when the definition of a troll was perfected !
All others now are just doormats in comparison .

Pintu Mahakul : Join in the festivities and this is very amazing definitely .. .

TAR. : Thank you Pintu Mahakul .

Runners High
It took years
I knew every bump and crack
In rain , fog , night or day
I ran to be running away

Found my second wind
air rthmically
going out , going in
mile after mile
constant as the waters
of the Nile

Later
while I was sitting
in my den
A wondrous feeling came over me
A high that elevates . . .
one that no drug can reach
I used to jog miles everyday and there many benefits to be gained from it . One was a joggers high , a physical high that cannot be touched by any other source .
I always feared thunderstorms
Lightning has killed many trees I loved

I understand that lightning
is a necessity as it replenishes
the nitrogen in the soil

But it destroys to create life

Tonight the thunderstorms roll
The thunder remains high
just growling low
as the lightning skips from cloud
to cloud

Then all at once
a bolt hits close by
and the thunder
kabooms . . .
rattling windows
Making your heart
skip several beats

The wind picks up
the sirens go off
and you chek out the radar

You breathe a sigh of relief
as the approaching storm splits
and goes around you .

It rains hard . . .

Then it stops . . .
so has the wind

Aloft the clouds
are race horses
galloping away as fast as they can

They have business elsewhere

Now all is quiet
a feeling of relief
soaks in unlike
the water running
rushing down the sides of the street

An after the storm moment
of peace when the air feels as clean
as the thoughts you . . . you don't have
A moment tonight between rows of thunderstorms rolling through

King of my Wasteland
BODY
  the ashes in the urn
TREASURES
  buried , lost to time

all I need is God beside

CASTLES
  crumbling ruins
ARMIES
  all been slain

still all I need is Jesus

TIME
  has passed me by
YOUTH
  is on the fly

I fear no shadows
with both by my side
Everything in this life is fleeting . Seek treasures that cannot be destroyed .

W.H.E.E.L.
The officer stopped me
"Are you D.U.I." ?
I said in reply
"W.H.Y." ?

I caught kisses on the "F.L.Y."
If you think it's easy
Then you should "T.R.Y."
if you are not too busy

I was F.O.B.
And I'm not talking freight
So good it made
me "S.O.B."

I know you are annoyed
at my inconvinces
that leave you dangling
from your C.I.N.C.H.E.S.

Butterfly on Christmas Day
I looked outside
my windows to see
a yellow butterfly
flying south
for the rest
of winter
you see

It dived through
where the roses
used to be
The day lilies
long withered
and no irises
there to be

Bounding over
the fence so fast
this creature surely
must be
tough as nails
For frost and freeze
has coated grass
and comes
nipping at it's
yellow tails

A few dips
of it's yellow wings
and it has disappeared
out of sight
Leaving me in awe
and disbelief
I hope it makes it's
journey complete
True story .

It Just Happened
It might be painful
It might be disdainful
It might be lightning
It is so frightening
Could be the thunder
That has my number
It could be Jesus knocking
concerned about my mocking
It could be my future
or my lack of culture
It could be those fried reasons
maybe it's Jackie Gleason
It could be the hollow
that always seems to follow
me into the night
so black without any sight
It could be a light
from my star at height
tumbling through the heavens
or bread that is unleavened . . .

All I know is it just happened
while I was here just napping
Have you ever suddenly realized a truth that just comes out of the blue .

Warmth in Heart
Inside . . .
my frozen heart your love resides
a sunset kept by timeless sighs
my how it's surrounded by my lies

Midnight hour . . .
finds me on the edge of poetry
with paper hearts that be
the chains of your memory

Yet . . .
I reach into my heart
to warm the hands that are so stark
the love that has made it's mark .

Forgiveness . . .
I ask only this of you
but my pleas are more than the stars above the blue
More than the number of drops of dew

Twilight . . .
filters through my minds eye
as the time now turns to fly
I turn to night , cold , goodbye

So Tall Lady
Back in the back door
just in case I have to run

Long tall lady
your so much fun

Everything is kisses
leaving me with desires and wishes

Smearing kisses , lipstick dip
pour my drink , just a nip

Music is blasting
your intentions exacting

Hand on my chest
you tease , you're the best

So tall lady
legs forever
You're my baby
don't talk weather

yeah . . . yeah . . . yeah

Until There Are No Tomorrows
I hold the rays that light the bay
Early in the morning
I smell the salt and taste the air
as the day is forming
The gulls turn wing and then they fling
their Feathers to the sea
The clouds peer pink as they sink
lighting comes a storming
The air picks up and cools my cup
of coffee that remains
I step in the boat that's sure to float
knowing the journey's waiting
The planks are sound , the masks come round
the ropes and fibers straining
A chop that blows , the tide it flows
the ebb of life has past
The sea's dark gray and appears to say
your albatross awaits you
Whatever's to be is alright with me
I'm not captive to this world
I drop my sails , ring three bells
Here ye , here ye , here ye
I set my course without remorse
destined for eternity
I used to live in Panama City , Florida .
It was
the shortest breath ever taken
The longest night prevailed
I gathered up all
my wintered thoughts
I would send
them all back down to Hell

To Whom :
I'm not concerned
666 Hades Street
on the Rue
Enclosed for your inspection
Every sin and all insanity ,
everything that you made me do

I know I must
accept the credit
I spent every last dime of mine
Now I feed the pigs of others
eating much better
while on the inside
I'm slowly dying

But you better now
be some wary
The sun shall also rise
All of the time
that I have squandered
will be responding
In this cold crystal air

So I step forward
Into the eternity of today
I'm leaving for my home
So many miles away
I will beg of my father
for forgiveness
I already know what he'll say

The Indifference Of Silence
Finally . . .
I sit in the midst of silence . . .
and silence resides in the midst
of me

I strain to hear
the nothingness . . .
and it comes over
so clear

All promises lay asleep
in their coffins . . .
covered in stone and time

This empty blackness
comes complete . . . stealing whatever sanity there is left in me

Here in my equilibrium there
are no days or weeks . . . just the certainly that no one speaks

Come hungry darkness . . .never to be satisfied . . . for you swallow eternity
still there is nothing inside

The indifference of silence
bends over to kiss me . . .
cold blackened lips whispering
"There is no certainty."

I was a rock
At seven ,
I rode a bicycle
with over inflated tires
that burst in the dark
thumping hard the side
of the house
scaring us all

At eleven ,
I went to three
different elementaries
in two states ,
one fall ,
two winter ,
three spring

When thirteen ,
I had a home
with no roof
or walls and slept
under the wiles of
mother moon

Then at fourteen ,
at fifteen ,
and sixteen ,
I went to high school
in a house made
out of cards
The jokers ran wild

At seventeen ,
I moved on
moved out
and like an orphan
I was sponsored
without love
as a rock singing
"I Am A Rock"

" 'I have my books
And my poetry to protect me
I am shielded in my armor
   Hiding in my room
   Safe within my womb
I touch no one and no one touches me
   I am a rock
   I am an island

And a rock feels no pain
   And a rock never cries ' "

Backpack full of life
Before the dawn's display
Before the rooster calls
And horses neigh
Hot coffee on my breath
Wearing an old hat
that's old as death
I set out in silence
Into the dark
Full of grit/pure providence

Wearing a backpack
Full of life

I cross the faceless row
Feel empty blackness as it weeps
Dark moon has the sun in tow
As the cold icy air
catches on my lungs
Freezing my nasal hair

The frost makes step unsure
I cross the boardwalk
The distance is my lure
I came prepared
I came to my senses
I feel freedom in the cold freezing air

Wearing a backpack
Full of life

Blue sky morning after rain
The clouds race golden
As be chariots
The sun is born
Like the deviants

As gusts of wind
****** the thoughts
Underdressed
The chest it coughs

While Major Clank
On wheels and stub
Bellows out and
Rubs the nub

Then by runes
the best made plans
Test the dikes
And angst of dams

The age of truth
The youth desired
Across the space
without the wires

The universe comes
In a box
Neatly packed
Shelved , detoxed

And all because
Annointed by rain
The blue sky morning
Clouds it's pain

Let the age turn the page
Old age turns the page . . .
the leaf thrives from underneath
Days are made out
of hollow light . . .
night now remnants
of silence in grief

The air I breathe

Yet our blood never mingled
Upon every page turns
the green leaf in air
The binding spine . . .
the trunk's despair

The green gaited men
The vitalis males in pink and yellow
hover over yesterday
in their penny loafers
Only ****** in action
certainly not in thought
Some would go to war to die
others became insurance salesmen or land developers
who would grow up and go
to casinos in Mississippi or New Jersey
Their perma pressed smiles
talked of football championships
that they loved almost as much
as deer hunting and certainly more
than their beauty Queen runner up wives
who took sleeping pills all to often
just before "goodnight"
Success was written on their foreheads
and in their wallets in plastic
Real manly words became gym talk
exposed like lashes on the backs of those who built this nation and raised our children
Talk is as cheap as Chinese steel that will be made in America again !
Ain't that gteat !
Men of wealth have a green gaited walk .

Fog dances and swirls
To mists in thought

Down by the river
Swims the desires
we keep hidden deep

Down within the river
Flows the hardwired
reality that speaks

Dance fleet shadows
of souls heavenly
they seek

Down by the river
ache and heartbreak
forms swirling clouds

Down by the river
rising from the tears
we weep loud

and set down
before I can change my mind .

They stole billions of the people's money
Now they line up at the

Who am I
I am the moment before the sun
I am the light you see on a dark moon
I am the eye of a typhoon

I taught the birds to fly
I taught the child to ask why
Who am I

I put the steps into caterpillars
Showed the leaves how to fall
Tore down every wall

I ran with the Buffalo
Dove with the whales
Know who I am then do tell

I am the dirt beneath your feet
The sky so tall
I am the fly upon your wall

I am the ache in your head
The pain in your heart
I know when to end  , when to start

I dream
I dream of a giant green grasshopper
clinging to tall weeds in Selma
Where huge fields of red clover
grew in the hot summer heat

I dream of Texas
where I made my first memories
And lived in a vastness for someone
of three seemed like eternity

I dream of the oceans of Florida
where waves made love to the sand
As I gazed across the horizon
life is forever in this land

I climbed the mountains of Washington
to the top of the snow covered peaks
I thrilled to the sight of the sunset
And felt the hand of God touch me

I dream of the tall grass prairies
I walked through in Kansas
Like a sea of grass rolling
in the winds of the Plains

My temporal eternity
lives on in my dreams
As I get older there is less life
And the more I do dream

For my last dreams
I dream of the future
May it be be as beautiful
as the eternity I leave
Make many memories while still young in life .

Some Kind Time
With an evening breeze
lifting your hair to rise
Leaving your smile on lips
I lose my disguise

Follow the twilight
twinkling fireflies
using shadows to hide
Peeping pixies go sigh

I love your undulation ,
thoughts are accerbating
The notions turn into touch
Your crush so embracing

You wore cherry flavored
lipstick head to toe
To this feat my tongue
was to be in the know

We embraced
in moon mountain time
Saving starshine sparkles like

Written last night during a texted conversation .
Dogs come wagging , sniffing cuffs
Then one howls , enough is enough !

Crows kaw kaw , 21 point buck I saw
The sky is warm wandering

Black man picks blues on porch
Sings about love's searing torch

Cow patty pastures , fire ant hills
Pastoral soothing wills

Red clay dust , powdered road
Goldenrods and one lost toad

Southern pines standing straight
Pulp's fiction tempting fate

they walked the line together
they stood in a ring of fire

I called him Navaho
He would appear and disappear
without a sound
Would stare at the stars
all night long
Sleep on the cold desert floor
Eat peyote buds
and sing war songs
He was rich
in all the nothing he had
Identified as a thunderbird
The animal spirits
were sacred in his world
Asked about gold
and he would scorn
Holding up water
the most precious
in all forms
I called him Navaho

Call me Dineh !
So I did

Milky Way to my Heart
Hello ,
Take my hand . . .
we will step out
onto the stars and run
across the Milky Way

We will swim
in the pools of
glistening light and
share to our heart's delight

We will catch comets . . .
putting them in our pockets
making wishes
along the way

We will visit the darkest moons
and give them light
from far across the galaxies

But the most heavenly light of all
will reside in your smile

What a way
Will you walk this way
Will you leave open the door
Will you be more than just the reasons
that you implore

When you look inside
When will you separate the appriations
When will you part and devide
all the suppositions

"I am this today
  I am that tomorrow
  I am anything as long
as it doesn't cause me sorrow"

"I am as fickle as the sun
I am sunshine , sometimes storm
I am the moon's false reflection

So who is it that walks through the door
So whose mask will you wear today
So who will fall for your insidious lies
that you so disrespectfully diplay

You catch the eyes of innocense
as you clip the time
in insolence with a smile

Nothing makes you happier
than to see the distress
when you so beguile

Soft and swift you tantalize
the precious lips of love

You nibbled on the ears
while whispering "Only if you please"

You daze and confuse like
the early spring's
cold winter fog

You lie in wait
for your chances
like a five string guitar

Oh ! No one is safe
as you strike another chord

No ! Not even the words
that go aching for the page

Not even the message texted
across the lost one in the maze

The camel made it through
the needle of the eye
He said "Nothing to it"
just before he died

There is a lesson to be learned
in the hollow of our minds

That there will be a tomorow
I can guarantee that in time

But only if you don't
step on the trip wire attached
to the watermelon's vine

So be careful
in everything you do
Or you might wind up wearing
camel hair coats and shoes

Once
Once upon a time I wrote poetry
To fill the emptiness that did reside

Once I learn to say how I felt
Long after the tears had mostly dried

Once I marveled at what I could write down
I even marveled at the rthym of the sound

But now the words falter , stumble at the gate
They no longer please me , I take it as my fate

Their purpose has somehow been denied
And to continue on a fruitless path would be living in a lie

So I take stock and close the book and put away my pen
For I will not be found in grace on page written in poem again

Once I was lost but now I'm found

52 Reasons
You were my Queen of Hearts
A top card to draw
My Queen of Diamonds
In the ruff
The best I ever saw
Turned out
You were just a lump of coal
And just as cold
The Ace of Spades
With a very blackened soul
You made a Joker out of me

Purple Satin Promises
We fell into bed on an instance
No need for introductions
We left all of those behind
In the bar of inconveniences

As we fumbled in the words
"My place or yours ."
She reached into a pocket
Lined in purple satin promises
And handed me her keys

I read your words
I open up your letter
and I read your every word
I found them quite unsettling
for it was just yesterday
That they put you in your grave

Should I keep these empty pages ?
After all now you have gone
*** MARKED FOR A MAKEOVER
"I can change and bring you
a brand new beautiful song ."

But your chorus has been depleted
There are no more a capellas
The voice of the turtle will remain mute
As you prefered living inside your bony shell

Then I said to you , "Now do I really give a hoot ?"

So I threw your letter into the can
That's where the trash belongs
I know I will never forget you
With that thought I will be moving on

Let me be forgotten
Let me walk upon the mountains
Swim the raging streams
Let me run once again
With the tumble weeds of dreams

Let me embrace the heavens
Such a starry feast
Let me embrace my creator
I'm overpowered and I weep

Let me stand inside the sunset
Embrace it in all it's warmth
Let me hug my sister moon
As I listen to wolfen cries that haunt

Let me ride the crest of waves
From the ocean blue
Just let me be on my way
My comet returning now overdue

If you will kindly forget about me
I will do the same for you

Play Again
The music popped
The music skipped
The needle rode the Mad Mouse
Around all week

Play again
The melody keeps
A win win
Because no one weeps

Bereft due breath
Love thy enemy
Life tastes best
In brevity

Catch me when I fall
Let me fall in spring
Winterize my visions
Turn off my dreams

One more time
Let it play again
The Mad Mouse was a carnival ride that had half circle enclosure with seats that spun around in circles while coursing over a wave like structure that tossed the riders up and down and all around .

Tears
The snow shivered in the heat
Tears fell from crystalline eyes
so white . . .
. . . the mountain gathered them up
and let them roll down his back to
the river . . .
. . . the river said ,"I'm overpool but I will make room for one more . . . or thousands  . . .
The crystalline tears mingled with the red mud and became blood brothers . . . and they flowed to the mighty sea . . .
. . .  "Welcome to my domain my little one's . I knew your forefathers and mothers from long ago . Here you will do my bidding as long as you stay . Here my windy friends will make froth out of you . And my big brother Sun will bake you and my sister Moon will entice you with dreams that can never be . All are here to test you , burn you , pull you apart , toss you around until you are ready to follow in your parents footprints . . .
. . . so the Sun scorched and the wind blew hurricanes in the east and typhoons in the west and the moon by night gave false hope in the way of impossible dreams and the ancient Sea watched all without saying a word . . . .
. . . then came the day the Sea was satisfied and said ,"Leap up my little ones , your day has come , ride the clouds to your new home . Some to the north , some go to the south , the rest go east and west . Take your precious gift to the land who is dying for your taste ." And one by one the tears lept into the clouds and ladened it's burdens and the winds cartied them away to the Plains and Forest and Valleys and to the Mountain Top . There the tears fell and froze and collected on the north face of the
mountain and the mountan was was glad .
"Welcome home my lost little one's . I'm so happy I could cry ." . . .  and he did .
