Dam
emotional floodgates

Herein rage dangerous rapids, Do I dare release?
The waters may never cease

Water is not always gentle.

test me
my waters have remained constant
rippling, reaching
as far as the eye can see
into the horizon; the water surrounds me
my knowledge is useless
when drowning in these waters;
i can only flail desperately
as my movements create ripples
out into the open sea
all these efforts
all in vain
all in my vein
blood rushing out
like the sea, light then heavy
then strong
like the sea, with a strong smell of salt
this time, the waters are red
and they reek of iron

test my waters
they’ve been stained crimson
with my lifeline
exam week got me in a bad light

hollow me out like a jellyfish
remove my spine-heart-brain
so serine in these
celestial waters

I poured you out into the sea of my mind
desperate for you to feel something for me

I thought if you were surrounded by me
you would feel me
in your head and in your heart
and you would love me

but you threw yourself out of the waters
more revolted than before
and left me to drown in my own mind

Careless with their lives
They slog in infested slimy waters
In rubber shoes covered in holes
Merging bodies with all the inhabitants of the world beneath their feet
They trudge on

They’re deceptive
Picking up dirts to throw it back in
In those times they’re not seen
Or so they believe

They’ve reduced themselves
To the dirt they feed themselves
And they care not
Their pores clogged with infested slimy waters

Exhibiting animalistic behaviors
They’ve now become barbarians
“Buy us water”,
They cry together.
He who is living a deceptive life
Trudging around in the slimy waters
A place no one has sent them

They feed themselves with those slimy hands?
It’s no wonder their mate died
I stamp my feet in anger!
Arrrrrrrg!
Do they not see the danger?

I do not feel pity for them
Their state of being
Though perplexing it seems
They chose this.
Their families I weep for
Bodies coated with infested slimy waters
They go home.

Surfing black waves
Diving deep within unknown caves
Going without knowing a destination
What infatuation
Dark waters covering sight
Seaweeds tickling feet
Temping to pull under what might dare to enter their space

No skies above or light seen
Sounds muffled under deep green color
The feeling of floating and sinking combined
One single lonely feeling that almost died
Forever it lives on as the moon moves the tide
Ever-changing but never fleeting inside

Terminal depths and loved kept
Hidden are those who understand the scene
Displayed before your eyes above, although unseen
Surf the blackness of waves never failing gratification
Dive into the depths without knowing destination
Allow weeds that tickle your feet to pull you under, they tempt
Swallow the deep green waters of a bay where others are exempt
We all have that special scene for our individual loneliness. Almost peaceful, maybe a solitude, lonely, but our own space we sadly learn to recognize...

In this story,
Augustus Waters didn’t die
But it felt like he did.

When the sea calms after a storm, it is easier then to see.

But you should never forget what the sea is, what it's meant to be.
It remains. It never really changes.

It was totally unexpected
He was her first for so long
But she cast him out into
The raging tempest of the cruel sea
Where serpent and sirens devour
And she found him on the same
Shore amongst the rocks.... without rage....
He had returned to her happy and unscathed
And as their hearts embraced
She whispered softly in his ear
Ironically you have come back
From the same place that I have been
Sometimes your first is your last and sometimes your last is your first
