sunlight dancing in,
doing pirouettes on my sill,
i leave her trails of sugar
and she dances on still!!

warmth sauntering through,
lounging on the floor
and darting up the stairs
desperate for something more.

a breeze trickling through—
her hair a soft plume
of cold silver and blue,
just to match the moon.
i’m really happy rn and i’m playing with some personification so yeah enjoy

Morning colors change
They change with the morning sun
The morning sun reigns

It's fiery beams
It's setting within the clouds
It's warmth coming through

How was your morning?
Christina S Jul 2019
The sun rises in the east
with loud colors of orange, yellow and red
waking gently the sleepy birds
that come and peck at my window

Vibrant life begins as nocturnal
animals slink back into their homes
The sun proudly shows off her heat
and beauty as she has been in hiding

Today I will bask in her warmth
and enjoy life's little miracles
As she warms our lakes and rivers
I will swim in the living waters
Last attempt at free verse....i think :-)

Her roots are growing upon your being,
waiting for the warmth of your presence
and the drops of your attention.

As it grows,
she begins to demand more
her appetite to sustain grows.

But slowly you’re furthering away
your radiation no longer reaching
upon her bare skin
as the trail of your shadow is left behind.

Just like the rest you’ve furthered,
leaving her parched and left to thirst
the reservoir that has stopped flowing.

Grief tastes like fear,
for attachment is the synonym of fear.
To be intertwined and interlinked,
to give and expect —
but to receive less
with the passing days.

The experience of the past
harbors fear,
tremble at the feel of attachment
that is ripped away
to leave her bare.

Before you leave
Before you detach
She will leave
and disentangle herself.

And when death comes my way.
I want to feel every breath.
I want to remember every second spent with you.
I want to hear your heartbeat as mine begins to stop.
I want to comfort you and tell you that I'm alright, even though I'm not.
I want to hear your voice for the last time.
I want to see your face before my eyes.
I want to meet your soul and mind for the last time.
I want to tell you I love you on my deathbed.
And I want to hear you say "I love you too" before I close my eyes.
For the last time.
Just a poem, For when I die. For you my love,This is what i want.

soaking in the sunlight
under the trellis of greenery,
shadows dancing on the face
and warmth lulling to a slumber,
faint music pouring into the ears,
and fleets of feelings unfolding
dancing with the memories,
untold stories peeking behind
the closed lit eyes,
pressing to let out.

I felt safe with you.

But I forgot that the same fire,
That gives warmth holds power,
To destroy all that's in its path.

there’s something about familia
that makes me sigh.
the warm glow of a hug;
the cheeky wink of an eye.

there’s something about familia
that makes me cry.
the pain of passing;
the tests set for us to try.

but with the unexpected & emotion
whether biological or chosen,
familia is familiarity; home; connection
& this i cherish with the deepest of affection.

Before I could remember
I was lost, and without myself
having no one else
How could it be lonely?
For no one was even there,
At least I wasn't

"I'll take time to find myself"
Never something I asked,
But it wasn't a choice, or a need
I found myself in feeling the stars
While the sand brought me to reality
The sunset wasn't warm, it was leaving

As it left, an inverse shadow
Burned into my memory, a time of company
And loneliness flooded my room
Loneliness of not finding my way out
And i found the coldest was the potential of warmth
Fall found me and the snow fell around us

In illusion, once again,
Looking in your eyes, I lost myself
But I wasn't alone-
Little did I know
that I would find myself
in you.
