they say the first poem you
read you will spend your whole
life trying to perfect it.
They read me
“Oh the places you’ll go.”

the characters in books,
their lives are perfect
they’re perfect
I want perfect.
6
despite what the kids
say, I am not great.
I’ll show you.

is it really okay to cry
when no one talks to you?

He was perfect.
I couldn’t have been
more wrong.

read me beautiful poetry
kiss me under the stars.
I got pushed
down the stairs.
14
I want to look
like the lines
in my poems.
a perfect size,
stunning and
captivating
15
I don’t speak.
Only my poetry knows
I haven’t eaten in days.

A man touched me.
I cry myself to sleep.

The scars
on my wrists and hips,
I created them
and I’ve
created insidious
poems depicting
my demise

I dreamt about death.
razors to the veins,
bullets to the head,
so much I tried myself.
Sweet sleeping pills.
19
I woke up.

From the depths.
I am writing to
lift myself up.
21
I was wrong.
death is not beautiful
and neither is the destruction of
your body and soul.
22
there are shifts in
the poems.
there is happiness.
23
this is the reason
why we write.

this is my story.
my beautiful life.
Tess Jan 2018
To grieve for those who were so sweet, their smiling Saviour they soon shall meet.
With the release of their last breath, comes the person known as Death.
Fears, tears, and pity-filled cries, our loved ones mourn as they realize, they'll never see them here again, until God take them to Heaven.
Rejoice, be glad, and celebrate, please, for death is a curable disease.
Infected are we to leave each other, but we shall not be brought down under.
For Christ has saved us, one-by-one, to live forever with those we love.

I just had the most powerful thought I've ever had.

It hit me like a train
dropped like a ton of bricks on my head
knocked me over and took my breath away

It was hard to grasp
I don't have the capability
to wrap my head around it
and to be fully honest
I probably never will

but on the surface
for some reason
I know it could be true

I know I'm not ready to accept it
it's a lot of responsibility to have on my shoulders
the weight that comes from this thought

but I guess
maybe
maybe it could be honest

just kind of hard to believe

but I guess
maybe
there's a chance
people might
really
actually
kinda

like me?
posted this after I wrote it and I've already stopped believing it

Have you ever stopped,
to smell the flowers?
You've surely been amazed,
by nature's wonders.

Seen that singular stunning sunflower yet?
Been badly beguiled by the beauty, I bet?
However.
A floret that does not blossom for you,
most certainly is not the one fit for you.

There is a garden.
Not every single fruit is forbidden.
There are choices.
Not every single one is scrupulous.

Look far.
Look wide.
Life may not always be a bed of roses,
But there is always a sea of flowers.

Lovely lavenders lazily frolic about,
delicate and demure daffodils dance around.
Caring calming carnations create a candid capture,
petite pleasing poppies peak out from the pasture.

There is a garden,
it's filled with happiness.
The secret unspoken,
is just paying attention.
I wish upon a star
For a hand to hold
For someone to love
After I've grown old

I dream of a happy life
Where days go by slow
To relax in a hammock
And just go with the flow

A single night
Could change it all
A single touch
And in love we'd fall

So much fun
It makes me glad
If it were to end
I would be sad

I wish upon a star
I dare to be so bold
To ask for just one thing
A loving hand to hold
This is for the people who know what they want from their love, and those who have yet to find love.

¡Nunca te olvidaré: eres fuego, luz y viento!
Siempre te soportaré: que concibes, yo ambiento.
Luchadores, se logró... Acabamos de unirnos.
Ganadores, tu y yo... Nadie puede combatirnos.

un pueblo sin piernas pero que camina

Does one forget to crack a smile
To turn on the light, to light the fire?
In this neverending shade of grey
We remain with chains around our neck

Why do we wander on our own?
To drown in sorrow, madness
Arms were meant to pull us together
But instead they drag us down

What is existing when we writhe
In pain, in grief, in delusion
Does our mind really cloud our heart?
And beyond that cloud, is a ring of gold

When you feel for disappearing
then take my hand
and let me help you healing.
I'll wave my wand
to lift your broken wings
and learn to fly again
like a butterfly in the wind
so take my hand, my friend.
I have a ride or die, God

No matter the shape, or size of your ***

My God made you work of art

He even knows your heart

God is so cool and amazing

That negativity is phasing

So don't get mad or fuss

Cause God loves each and every one of us

God heals us when we are sick

When Gods words are written they stick

Don't you love God can do wonders

He knows when we make blunders

I am blessed to be made by him

It not matters if it's us, he, she, or them

With my God I don't have to ask why

For my God, I will ride or die.

We are heading toward the unknown morning,
ready to face with the heavy light of the world
only this livid silence embraces us now,
yet still, I do not fear to take one step forward
for I know there's no future forsaken
for I know I am going to happen by you.
