The way
you smile,
showing
your teeth,
it makes
you look
like a
creep.

Stop.

You make me lose
sleep.
Makes a chill run down my spine, that guy. Brr...

Everything can be poetic if you look at it that way

The way you smile and good off at yourself while brushing your teeth

The way the laundry does cartwheels in the machine

The way your curly hair falls right behind your ears

The way you smirk whilst trying not to laugh

The way you stifle a giggle at your crazy life

There is extravagance in the most normal of things we barely glance over

I might not have
the perfect smile.
I might not have
the perfect teeth.
I might not be the
skinniest person out there.
I might not be the
most beautiful human being.
I might not be the perfect person
and that's okay, because no one is
perfect.
We all have flaws.
Some are good at hiding them,
some are not.
The thing is,
you have to come to know that you are
special
unique
and beautiful
in your own ways.
I've learned that being negative
doesn't do anything
but make matters worse.
Being negative
doesn't really get you anywhere.
You become mopey
You don't ever feel good enough
about yourself or
about anything.
Change that problem,
I guarantee
that you will feel
so much better afterwards
but you will never achieve
if you keep it with you.
Let it go.
Just, let it go.
No matter how hard it is to forget.
Turn that negative attitude
into a positive attitude.
If I can do it,
you can do it.
I believe
that you will accomplish it
someday at sometime.
Whether you want to
or not,
just try.
Also think,
no one is making you feel that way
but yourself.
See the difference,
**feel the difference.

Lips dance like raindrops on a car window
(set the scene: fog, island, river, rain)
the rain the lips dancing towards isolation

A lion in a coma
missing prey in sweet dreams of undrained blood, skin
lacking a pure bite of crooked teeth

Wrists snap towards a limb of another body,
a separate body moored to a dock - one heart, two sets of teeth -
***, sweat, skin,              DNA absorbed and merging

A beast upon the throne of bronze
his claws dig deep through the velvet cushion
oh, how much the taxpayers compromised for that
you wretched maniac, may you marry rich - if you don’t marry me

i hope i left a gap in your life
the way losing a tooth leaves a hole in your mouth
and you keep running your tounge over
where it used to be

Some          times
I    want    to    kiss    you
as   much   as   I   want   to   knock
your        teeth        out,
darling.
Supposed to be in the shape of lips. Whatever.
You infuriating intoxication.

Your teeth sunk into my skin
in the same way that your words infiltrate my brain
and soak into my mind
letting themselves print repeatedly
like a student writing lines

you say you
wish to protect me
from the wolves
circling
around me,

but your words
are the things
that bite
like a canine's teeth.

so let me lie
with the wolves,
and let their fur
protect me
from the chill
of your heart.

Friday,
you smiled at me,
as I made my way out of the wreckage

Your smile was all I noticed,
set in your soft face,
teeth brighter than energy-savers
Now I know why you still smoke

And now it seems,
every man clad in black or grey,
a trench coat that buttons up to the neck,
is you..

You are an effigy,
of every man who masqueraded under the guise,
of potential lover

Who fumbled for their phones,
requesting mobile numbers,
Whose sallow hands have caressed me,
unwanted

But their teeth were unseen

Yours are a badge,
you proudly show off,
in all those smiles,
you give like gifts to me

But I can not keep them,
because they belong to the girl,
whose swollen lips you kissed,
not long ago

There is always another,
who expects your smile,
and knows by heart,
The number of teeth you keep
