We've been running with blistered feet
and weak knees for centuries.
Yes, we've come so far
but no one ever said it would be this hard.

Just lay your head to rest
you have run enough.
I've got your hand and I'm holding it tight.
You're all I have in this world
so I won't ever let go.

Don't you cry no more
because you gave your all.
It's just this time god wasn't so kind.
You put up a good fight and I'm so proud of you.

You'll finally be at peace
when these dark days are behind you.
You slayed your demons and monsters.
You did your job and you did it well.

Don't worry too much, brother,
because I won't be able to live in this world too long without you.
I'll follow you down the path and into the dark.
I won't let you die alone.
On the other side we'll just drive down the endless road back home, or god knows where.
We would always dream of tomorrow
but this time tomorrow never came.

We gave our live's to protect others.
We've come so far up the mountain
just this time got caught in the landslide
and fell all the way back down.
But look how far we got.
Look how much we've done.
Look at how many lives we've saved.
We're just two brothers born from the fire
but this is where our lives end.

I look back and see all decay,
but I won't apologize
I did my job.
We saved lives and protected the land.
We always stood tall
no matter how hard we'd fall.
I'm proud of you.
I'm proud of us.

Many legends there be back in days of old;
Legends of bold knights upon their noble steeds.
This be a tale starring a knight and his steed
As one and the same.

'Twas in the Renaissance city of Poitiers
The prodigy of a holy knight was born;
Sir Nathanëal of the Salomon bloodline,
Lineage of victors.

He bore the heart and voice of an archangel
And the loyalty of a priest to his God.
No other horse he rode but his first and last;
Dear "Divinitus."

Alas, his loyalty had cost him dearly
In the midst of the Battle of Moncontour.
Thus came the end of Nathanëal Salomon.
Or so it had seemed.

By the hands of benevolent sorcery,
Nathanëal and Divinitus lived again,
This time sharing a peculiar physique
Of both man and horse.

Thus, blessed with fur of white and a mane of gold,
Well-equipped with lightweight armour and claymore,
He walked the outskirts of France slaying evil
As both knight and steed.
Here is my very first sapphic which I wrote as part of my homework for Tees Achieve Creative Writing.

I'm bleeding out
and all you do is watch me drain.
I gave you my heart
but you've got the devil in your soul,
so you tore it apart,
piece by piece.
I'm left with nothing but the stars
So I drink to wash away the pain it brings.

I'm your **** of the night,
but not if this drink does it first.
I'm already half drained.
All I ever gave you was everything
from the very beginning
and now you've thrown it all away.

You were once my brother
and I still believe underneath that skin,
and all your sins you're still human.
You were once holy and sane
but it's hidden somewhere lost in the dark.

All I do is drink your poison.
I let it consume me.
Every inch of my body
until I'm finally able to feel nothing.
Only then will my heart stop aching
and my body stops bleeding.
I greet the dark like it's a friend
that helped me escape.
I'm no longer here to see what happens next.
I'm gone and buried away.
My last drink was the most bitter
but it was such a relief.

you aren't human,
filled with fake
blood, just so you
can bleed and
haunt me.

Under
the lemon tree
we used to see ghosts. They
would just sit there and glare at us,
waiting.
Do you see them?
They see you.
Do you hear them?
They hear you.

Yes, you see them
Out of the corner of your eye
Yes, you hear them
During the silence of a ticking clock.

You'd rather not see or hear them
You'd rather they sleep a quiet slumber
You'd rather they didn't talk to you
You'd rather the professionals were right, you're mad

But, you and they know otherwise
They are only seen and heard by you
To others they elicit that "someone's just walked over my grave feeling
Like children at play their cruelty knows no bounds.

Let the earth
turn to dust,
and leave all life
left to rust.
If you're not here
I don't wanna live alone.
So set fire to all there is
so I can join you,
up wherever you are.
Still, I cannot see.
I'm just a wondering blind man
since you left.
You were my sight
and now all the light is gone,
the moon and stars are all drained out.
I've been walking the same path
searching for a sign
someday I'd hope to find.
So draw me a map to where I'll find you.
A straight line that I can follow.
My bones ache
and I wish I couldn't feel a thing.
I'm losing breath, but I'm almost there.
But for now, I'm just wondering.
I'm a blind man,
so please pull me from the dark.
Be my guide.
Be my feet and eyes.
Lead me to you,
so when I finally make it up there
you'll find me and I won't have to be alone.

I doubted if I should ever come back, with memories scarce and sad
To these people lost and alone, nearly all of them gone mad.
Adorned in blood and sweat and tears, we all mourn his death.
Though only I could be there when he ****** in his last breath.
As I look up towards his god and feel his tears splash on my face.
I wonder if I’ll ever know this much pain, this much disgrace.
His protection was my promise, my father’s last command.
Now no more is my brother, my rock and my right hand.
But I will not let him leave me now. I can’t go on alone.
For I am just a rock and he a precious stone.
A deal is the choice I make, sealing it with a kiss.
My soul for my brother’s life, one year, my dying wish.
