Today is better than last night for now the delicate cords held within my throat do not refuse air its  passage through them for anything more than the oxygen it carries even though all I was wanting to do was scream.

Today is better than last night for now my sight is clear - free of the tears which could not fall due to the dam I built too high and too well who's retribution was to refract my guiding lights into nonsensical shapes which could offer no comfort.

Today is better than last night for now the sharp daggers of keratin are not biting at my skin frantically trying to purify me of this rotting flesh which coats my bones,  and my mind is past   not being able to wrap its tendrils about the idea of people possibly loving this wretched creature I have become... Or perhaps it did wrap around that fragile concept but instead of absorbing it those vines of the rose garden of my mind stayed true to form and grew thorns to pierce and tear at the idea like my nails once did to this alabaster canvas while holding as tightly as doubt sometimes holds my lungs keeping me from breathing,  but this concept is more breakable then my lungs... And so it was crushed into stardust.  The same stardust that comprises or bodies because every element of our bodies is created within our guiding lights we wish upon. And I see that sparkle of stardust every day in each of your eyes. I see it in everyone's eyes.. except my own... And  it makes me wonder if maybe dad was right and some people are just made of a different type of dust.  A dust comprised from the ashes of hell itself which will forever smolder but never more catch aflame... The ashes filed with the agonies of those souls which lost themselves in the madness and feel into the eternal night.
Meant to be more of a spoken word poem versus a written poem, but I thought I'd put it on here anyways. I'd appreciate any input y'all might have some I'm not really sure if it's finished yet or not.

Stardust dusted across your cheeks
Light brown ones, hard to see
The sun peaks

The warmth of the sun in your embrace
Your gravity is keeping me down
Unfamiliar space

Are you the milky way?
Am I the lonely astronaut?
Led astray

You are making my head spin
I am no moon, this isn't love
I can still taste the gin

From Mercury to Neptune the colors are all there
And time goes by, measure it by light years
Just stare

Sort of a single slingshot gravity
Keeps me from shooting further away.
The beauty, over your capacity

If the whole galaxy was in front of you,
would you come near it? Could you?
** When you are only allowed to enjoy the view

Tell me there's a chance;
That elation hasn't eluded us
That love in its purest form
Dwells united in our soul

Tell me we are what we seem
More than any other
We are Stardust and the semblance of time
For it ceases to exist in our reality

Tell me the joy in our hearts
Is fated through eternity
That we are who we have always been
Forever, we will share one heart

The Stardust Inn had no sails of silk.

The wooly sheets chafed his sunburnt face. He couldn’t sleep with all those demons glaring at him. The ***** maids never washed the blankets and they stank like dead goats. Nobody ever cleaned his room, or bothered to replace the soap, or replace the dead lightbulbs, or fix the faulty ceiling fan.

The potpourri made the goat smell worse, somehow.

Dead goat. Dead flowers. Dead people. Dead tired.

It was hard to mend a broken soul, surrounded by such paper-thin walls. He’d lay listening to men and women shuffle horizontally, sweating and thrusting themselves raw beneath the scratchy sheets in the bed next door.

A cockroach scurried away across the carpet, over the bare foot of the Ghost where it sat crooked upon a chair in the dark. He always wanted to tell that Ghost, if it’d just fix its posture it might get some rest – but instead, never said anything at all.

The woman next door out-moaned the wind. He looked up at the Ghost, and the Ghost at him with large black eyes. He could almost hear that tortured spirit say;

“Now you know what I’ve had to deal with.”

Talk to me about space
About the incredible cosmos
About the way we were all
Made of stardust, talk to me
About the way your hair bleeds colour
When you bathe, about your nightmares
After an evening with your parents, talk to me
About the girls you've kissed and the girls you've wanted to kiss,
Tell me about all the things that bind your soul
To this dusty rock we call home,
For that is where your truth lies.
Tell me what you feel about couples having PDA
On the subway, if you feel jealous or indifferent, talk to me
About the liminal spaces, the coffee shops, cross roads, train stations
Where we have a 1 in a billion chance of meeting our soulmates,
Tell me about the pain you felt when your brother died,
The nights you couldn't sleep because of all the tears
That would never fall, because your heart had gone numb.
Talk to me about you. No, not you, You.
The girl with the cosmos in her body. The you I fell in love with, after all we were made of adjacent stardust.
Talk to me.

one day
i am going to be a star.
someone once told me
when we die
we will all become
stardust.
and we will float
around in the universe.
lost.
i will become the cosmos
in your eyes
forever to be lost in your eyes
forever to be lost in your eyes

Robust, in her
I trust; in amour'
Not lust, do I giveth
Thanks to thee O' God.
I'm a seed in her pod,
Getting the sustenance
That deriveth from her light
Source, inside the Church of her spirit's
Porch, wherein stardust lurks, as do lightning lovestruck-rod's.

We are the stardust
Packed into bright burning lights
Crossing the night sky
All have the potential to shine.
Not all choose to.
I hope that one day, those I love will find their own light,
so that mine won't burn out trying to save them from their darkness.

Why
Did something that matters to us drop from the sky?
We wondered for a  long while, what it was, when and why?
At the end of the inquiry, everything became clear,we found joy,
feel the smile in your bones, distant starlit galaxies wink on the sly.
It is estimated that 93% of the mass of human body is made of stardust.Just think of it, long long ago someone may have wished up on
a star that you are made of!
