You gave color to my life,
now without you I'm color blind.
Rainbow

Colour Blind.

We will never be lucky enough to see a rainbow over the sunset
But we are lucky enough to picture it in our imaginations
And see ourselves pointing at the sky to our loved ones
Saying “You see that? It’s almost as special as you”
Hints of purple and red with a dazzling ring framing it
If I ever did see such a thing, I would not know how to react
Not because I would only be speechless,
But in the back of my mind I would know it's only a dream...
And occasionally I do experience things in life I believe is a dream
I snap back to reality and remember there will be worse things
And I remember that someday, things may even get better
We don't know, nobody knows, not even your local psychic
This is because I am me, and you are you-
Nobody could bear to see every adventure, every terror
But you and I could only imagine...

My depression was not a grey sky.

                     It was not a rainbow, waiting with a *** of gold.

                                 It was not even cloudy blue, yearning for
                                                  high wind.

                                                                      My depression did not even
                                                                                 have a sky.

                                                                                 My depression was
                                                                     an endless rabbit hole.

                                  But the rabbit hole has an ending.

                      I can see the blue skies up ahead.

My depression did not have a sky. But my happiness will.

Freedom is like a rainbow, full of life
The sound of many bells in the distance; ringing the announcement of liberty!
Sweet like ice cream on a hot summer day
The spice of baked yams with butter and sugar
The flowing flag in the wind
Comfort surrounding like a blanket.

angels were dancing
underneath the violet sky
they had found the light

drops fell to the ground
while the sun was beaming

“c’est trop beau!”
they sang
at the end of the rainbow

he had
        never               experienced the glow before

her love
        reigned on him
        showered         him with    sunlight kisses

and he

        he held the reign bow in his hands

interesting to use homonyms now and again.  this is, i think rather obvious, but if not reign, rather than rain alludes to who wears the pants, tiara and sits on the throne with the septor!

Our world today shines much brighter
the month ahead is Ramadan!
Blooming upon us is the best of the months
Ahlan wa sahlan ya Ramadan!

Chockablock with pure blessings
is the oasis in the opulence.
Bountifully raised dizzying high
comes with the Night of Measures
better than a thousand months.
Ahlan wa sahlan ya Ramadan!

Everyone, near and far
only look up high!
No rainbow can outshine
the finest face of the serene moon
is about to show up.
Welcome it loud with the whole heart
Ahlan wa sahlan ya Ramadan!

As I lay awake one evening,
with thoughts speeding through my head;
I knew sleep was evading me,
so I wrote this poem instead.
~
It did not come quite easily,
as the poems I've penned before;
But I knew that I had much to say,
so I continued to write some more.
~
I lacked an idea or topic,
was I penning this poem in vain;
Then I began to contemplate,
the sun, the moon, and the rain.
~
Deep within my troubled Soul,
Christ Jesus came to my mind;
He who created the moon to glow,
and the sun in the Heavens to shine.
~
He calmed the storm with His hand,
as He calms the storms in my life;
He made a miraculous Rainbow,
and the stars to twinkle at night.
~
I then began to see Jesus,
in the trees, the grass, and the sky;
Thus I began to see clearly,
God's handiwork in my own life.
