If the devil saw you,
he'd kiss your eyes
and might turn back to the Lord,
for in you, his creation is nothing but beautiful.
Even the angels are at a loss.
Those gleaming eyes,
and soft lips calling my name—
how could I forget such a thing?
I am just a man,
not a being who can resist the urge
to keep you close.
I saw a similar haiku, so I just added more, making it a short poem. I am still learning, so if you guys have any advice, do share it with me. Thank you so much

Why today
Why now
I didn’t exist to you
before today
and now you
want to talk?

Preposterous.
Absurd.

I just got over you
and now you want
to talk,
most likely
about how I did something wrong?

Part of me wants to say
‘Go **** yourself’
But that would hurt more
Wouldn’t it?

This has to be
retribution
for my actions
though I have naught
a clue what I did wrong
Woohoo! Another depressed poem about a breakup, how cliché.

I was never asked to choose a side,
it is to fate I must abide.
I am the child that war has aged, I am the soul that time has caged.

I am the breeze lost in a storm,
I am that flower whose stem was torn.
I am a dream never achieved,
I am the innocence that war conceived.

Among the rubble I stand alone, my precious home a pile of stone. Out in the cold without a cover,
I starve to death or may recover.

I am the cries and all the screams,
I am the victim of corrupt regimes.
In every battle or every war,
it is my blood they always draw.

I am a bird without his wings,
I am the child who lost his limbs. Amidst the fear and all the dread, I am a body amongst the dead.

To every general who wears a star,
I am the one who bears the scar. I am the only voice of hope,
with all the horror I have to cope.

I am bewildered and feel ashamed,
to see serenity within the sane.
I am, the child of war.

Spit your venom as you wish.
I’ve become quiet to the burning away of my flesh,
The snipping bites as it inches across my body,
The chilling agony that accompanies
When my bones are finally exposed.
I am left hideous and open.

Yet I will be patient.
I will let you stew in my silence,
Let you be unnerved by my tight lips
And the occasional hint of a smile
Even as your ghastly poison melts through
The withering tissue of my cheek.

Because watch.
There will be a time when I will be gone,
And your precious spit bucket will cease,
And you will wonder how I survived
When your venom starts sizzling patches
Upon your mindless tongue.
it burns.

Healing taught me everything,
now I walk without a crutch.
Detached and free, I’ve let you go,
two middle fingers up, no need for much.

People come and people go,
like shadows in the dusk.
Trust is earned, but once it’s lost,
two middle fingers up, I’m no longer hushed.

No pedestal to lift you high,
no tears left to fill my cup.
You were just a fleeting thought—
two middle fingers up, I’ve had enough.

Janie played his twisted games,
but now I see it plainly.
He’s just a chapter I’ve closed for good—
two middle fingers up, so long to Janie.

You'll do what you will, regardless.
I don't need to hold you near,
And I'm free with nothing to fear,
two middle fingers up. Timeless.

I stand alone, but I'm at peace,
no weight upon my chest.
*******, kindly. I've moved on,
Now I live my best,

You raggedy *****,
Go be someone's baggedy.
The poem is about the rage one experiences on a healing journey. The fire to burn it all down and the grace to rebuild.

Oh mother, your rage is filling me
And the rage of all the woman before you
And the woman with you
Wanting me to fight in each war
In which we get injustly treated over and over

For centuries the feelings are crying
Begging to fight for every woman
While each and every season
The lives of woman worsen

Oh mother, your exhaustin is filling me
And the ones of all the woman before you
And the woman with you
Begging me to stop
For centuries they are fighting
"I can't fight anymore"
They say before each and every war
I can't find the quote anymore that inspired me😭😭
Edit: *** i found it but it's not really a quote though:
"I have the weight of my mothers mothe, and her mother before on my shoulders. I have been waging wars for centuries" "I can't fight anymore"

Another row and another
****** parting,
Hearts hard and yet
Crying inside,
Anger and passion compete
With yearning and sadness at loss,

We do not know,
You and I,
How to end or part,
And neither
It seems can we have
Harmony between us,

But that is what I want,
That is what you desire,
Even in the midst of war
We both say that
We tire of the fight,
And in not wanting that

We do actually agree,
We both want peace,
We both desire love,
We both yearn to fill
The same aching
****** void,

Well you fill mine,
And I fill yours,
At least we could if our
Rage would let us,
So here's a flag of truce,
Will you honour it?

Can we know that peace

We both

Desire

And

Need?
