We will walk off thousands of cliffs,
but not all of us hit bottom,
some will learn how to fly,
others will lose themselves in the fall,
and the rest will wait until the cliff finally ends.
which are you?

What should a person spend their life doing?
How many things are worth pursuing?
Chasing dreams? Running errands?
Ticking off responsibilities? Getting to know people?
Getting really buff? Creating beautiful art?
Writing great poems? Winning at sport?
Getting super famous? Growing rich?
Reading good books? Helping the poor?
Watching movies? Fixing things?
Playing music? Learning languages?
Traveling the world? Teaching wisdom?
Building structures? Studying flowers?
It's hard to know, but you better decide quick.
Because it could be over before you finally pick!

Impulse buys and crap meat pies,
crispy snacks and cans
Fast food bags, discarded **** all chucked from sweaty hands

Into bushes, roadside drops or tossed from speeding cars
Consume and lob, “it’s not my prob”
junk stuffed from fist to gob

Foods that ****, eat our streets, Mother nature’s ******!
Disrespectful, scant regard, her beauty hid amidst

A correlation, may I address... littering to health
Or on a controversial note, worst areas lack in wealth

Discarded dreams, stretched at the seams
Life’s stitching’s come undone
 Scratch paper hopers, ciggy smokers
Our streets are overrun

Deadly habits, toxic foods, mainly line our streets
Left for volunteers to pick, a never-ending feat

Healthy trash? Avocado smash?
Imagine streets adorn

Kale and spinach everywhere
We wade through piles of corn

“There’s ****** carrots are everywhere, why don’t they use the bin”
“That courgette’s dropped right next to it, why not just put it in?”

Coastal towns with plastic seas, wildlife getting sick
All tangled, trapped in Ghost nets like a phantom sailors’ trick

Above the ground to the depths below the litter never ends
Poor old Mother Earth, being driven round the bend

So how do we control this?  Education is the answer?
Let’s all work to turn it round for Generation Alpha

The new emerging vibrant minds, absorbing like a sponge
The lessons passed on down to them, by loving Dads & Mums

A shift in thinking is afoot, I feel it in my bones
Let’s join as one community, it starts within our homes.

There is a decision to be made,
There is a future,
There is a past,
There is a "so-so" chance at happiness,
Behind door number one is your future,
Door two contains some pain, but with a hint of pleasure.

What would you miss most?
A place to laugh like no one is watching?
Or a place to shred the moment and skate passed your problems?
This is the riddle that hides the key to the door of your choosing,
Think hard,
Thoughts can be a teacher in the dark.

Door one is Blue,
Door two is Black,
Choose between your favorite colors,
You've got a tough decision to make, my darling,
Secure your dusty pencil shavings,
Switch to ink if you must,
Do you enjoy being humid when the frost blows?
Cold palms when the heat rises?
The past is freezing in the shaded fog,
The future is boiling with steam-filled bubbles.

Door two is in your future if your mind stutters at the thought of "I love you",
I'll tell you something simplistic,
Door two is indestructible to everyone, except yourself,
Door one is to be shaved into crumbs of sawdust, once your decision turns,
There is no going back and those shredded pieces of entry can never be referbrished,
Read the fine print,
If door one becomes door two,
You lose the door that dissipates into nothing,
You can keep the fire burning with consistent attention,
When it defuses, it is like scraping a burnt match,
Never to be utilized again,
You can't manage a roaring fire in the pouring rain.

So here you stand,
Two doors,
A 50-50 chance,
Pick,
Choose,
Don't do damage to your dome,
Follow your hearty wishes and dreams,
That is what your future holds,
Live it,
Love it,
Idolize it,
Forever.
Door one lives on,
Door two fades to black,
No thought,
No hesitation,
You win,
He loses,
I prevail.

The flowers you pick,
Are never for me.
I'm a shiny penny lying on the sidewalk
Shining rays of sunlight up at your face
To signal blessings of fortune, for you, if you
care to collect me to your space.
Enjoy the shine of my copper
Enjoy my face upon the top of my "1 cents worth of luck"
as it shall lighten up further days...
If you don't pick me up, someone else, who believes in me, shall.
The rays of warmth and charitable positive energies, upon them, do double back
In power, unity, and added wealth.
Even if it isn't a Million or so...
Why leave opportunity behind
In a hurry?
Or too lazy to know?
That with each blessing I give...we share a common bond
Karma that helps both of us
In life's garden
To gain experience, blossom, and grow.

If I have a choice to be happy
 at every chance I get
why do I always pick to be sad?
Victoria Nov 2017
I'll start by say that some people think life is goes by fast, but they are wrong life is the longest thing we go through. As for how I feel about it, life if what you make it, if you're searching for some sort of meaning behind it, I feel like you're living life wrong. The only thing you need to search for is happiness, that doesn't mean there won't be bad, there will be a lot of bad, but the bad doesn't out weigh the good and the good doesn't necessarily trump the bad. With out either though, what is life? So, to me life is experiencing moments you'll never forget and being happy you even are here to do that.
