Living is like playing an instrument
and the instrument is me:
Soul, mind and body.
My soul wields my mind-body
to play notes (do activities)
which harmonise (are adaptive)
with the melodies (opportunities for joy and happiness)
I discover within Destiny.

When my emotions are in disharmony
I do introspective-philosophy
to tune up my emotions
and conduct them
until they are a harmonious symphony.

standing here,
becide you.

for this moment,
lets just sit,

in sweet harmony.

you & me
for eternity
O
Light & darkness
Love & Hate

Are they not the same thing?

Darkness is a mere absence
of light
just as hate is the product of
love missing

Yet love is infinitely desired
more
by having to experience
a warring relationship for it

Just as the understanding of morals
wouldn’t possess the same strength nor depth
without witnessing the affliction
of sin

In search of utopia

it’s easy to forget the beauty of
the imperfect existence we have

Don't tell me the stars
stopped the dream.
Don't tell me the birds don't fly.
Don't tell me the kids stopped crying.
Don't tell me the lovers are lost.
Observes the wonders
as they occur around you.
Listen blessings dropping
their blossoms around you.

for Onorio Zaralli

Wherever we look, my friend,

we see children at play.
and children in school .
     We see children in triumph
     and children at risk.

We see mothers at work
or lost in thought.
We see mothers on the edge -
     survivors striving for a rainbow.

We see aged ones,
proud of their grand-kin's deeds
and of marks they have etched
      on the universal ledger.

We are our forefathers and sons,
granddaughters and mothers,
foraging our way through chaos -
searching for the best map home.

So we hone our skills
and practice our trades
     to harvest our daily portions
and navigate the tides of time.

Whoever we are today,
wherever we might wander.
we are our only hope for a better day
the only “us” we can cherish.

Lost in dreams, my eyes gently close
hoping for a well-marked path to follow
paved with respect, compassion and justice
where we may all walk together in harmony.

I let myself go
in the stream, with the stream
sensing the bed, the banks
my fingertips brush the rocks
and the crocodiles
feel where they crush
at which angles they cut
I know the tension
of the muscles, legs, jaws

and let them go
in my stream, with my stream
my bed and receding banks
give them the space
of wasted efforts
and bruises on their soul

that seeks its salvation
in the stream, the great stream
without a bed, without banks
and without direction

Ego
How desperately it clings,
as if the spinning of the earth
might send us sailing into space.
I want to reassure it and
soothe it and calm it;
thank it for defending me,
but then say
it’s going to be okay
and we don’t need to fight
anymore.

Let’s sit down
together,
as brothers,
and hash out
the rest of our life
together.

True love must assert a soul binding liberty -
But what is right in you, seems like a crime within me.
Your favor leaves me nothing else to require,
You answer my every wish and long out-run all my desires.
What more can I expect while I live?
All your princessly diadems that you so sweetly give -
On that: there you pause; then sighing, you said,
This is justly destined for your worthy head.
For when from my toils I shall at long last rest,
This latest augment of this life - oh I’ve been so blest.
Your lawful issue shall to my lap once again ascend
To the collateral damage of my heart that somehow you end.
My love, though oppressed,  moves toward your light -
Dauntless  –  secure  – full of a native fight.
Of every royal virtue that you surely must possess;
Never be still dear, be the bravest, be you, be the best.
Your courage knows no foe, your truth to proclaim
It is your loyalty that I hope is your biggest fame.
Have mercy on this nave my dearest find,
For surely you must be of the forgiving kind.
Why should I then repine against Heaven's decree,
That somehow, someway - you fell in love with me.
It's not all about being loved - it's all about truly loving....
