You're a living story,
a flesh and blood sculpture of experiences
scattered in the cosmic stardust, you're a
naughty amalgamation of mischief,
fun and twinkles in the eyes that one can't quite decipher,
(you're confusing, you know),
you're this humming strumming dreaming
thriving energy of body of energy,
you're fairy dust and bundles of lust
exploding with the elixir of love.
*you're all I want to live with,
you're all I want to want.
let's connect. touch.

The music blasts, she orders a glass as I take a glance.

She smiles yet it's all transparent. I could tell she's stressed.
She had a missing halo yet I could tell she was a celestial descendant.

I took a step..A step..

To
Get
To know
Her very well.

I didn't even know her name, could barely see her face. She stepped closer,we danced the night away, entwining with the stars. Caressing her chilled my spine.
Every moment felt so right till she was released from my arms and left.
This happens often when you're partying.

Look through the peep hole, and you shall see me..

Once in a while,
I'm a fun place to be!!

The harbinger of celebration,
The herald of intoxication.

I'm the company of the stars.
I'm at the counter of run down bars.

We meet at the winner's table,
We meet at the loser's table
To some I am a fable.
To some, the sharpest saber.

By me, prophesies have begotten
By me, empires have been toppled.

I am,
*The Bottom of The Bottle.
You wouldn't believe. i thought this up DURING an exam of mine :P

I wouldn't say I wasn't hoping--
wondering what it'd be like--
to strike the band up, strike a spark
and set your amber eyes alight.

The night was warm. I almost froze up.
You flowed through my awkward ice.
We walked home laughing,
                             I was fading.
                             Drenched...

Your voice was red wine on the night...

                                           I'm alive;
I guess the Winter lost one.
Scraping frost off a tarnished record, now.
                                     Spin the season.
                          Warming up to Springtime.
Pour out beside me under iron purple clouds.

I kept a cask of my best stories
fermenting for nights like this,
to fill your glass, distill the tension,
drown the thirst of shots we'd missed.

The night wore on. You told the Winter,
"Smiles're mine--you keep the rest."
We thawed the town out
                          with a buzzing
                          warmth

spread through our drunk and laughing chests...

                                                                    Orange Street
                                                                    bridge.
                                                                    Melting in the dark.
                                                                    Lots cast:
two stones in the Clark Fork.
                                                                    Walk back,
                                                                    we're
                                                                    run-off from downtown.
                                                                    Four sheets,
                                                                    after
                                                                    breezes, get turned down.

                                        I'm alive;
I guess the Winter lost one.
Scraping frost off a tarnished record, now.
                                     Spin the season.
                          Warming up to Springtime.
Pour out beside me under iron purple clouds.

                                 Nothing gained
                       worth a ****'s assured, so
tip a glass, tilt a grin and angle home.
                               A thousand lights
pinned to night, 6 blocks left.
We're catching up. Where'd our mislaid footsteps go?

Led us right here, I suppose.

Over the handle bars and up the road,
hold on tight,here we go,
waving on to the people going by,
this man, oh you know, he was never shy,
the friendly smile was not just every once and awhile,
always there ,an ear to share,
a heart, oh he really did care.

The peeky cap, if you stole he'd snap
"you're never too old for a slap",
them shining eyes, often spoke of his 3 boys,
when they where young& the things they done,
he never forgot, the two who complete the lot,
two wonderful girls for years were there by his side,
the stories he'd share,
he'd tell of his wife, the woman who complete his life,
her beautiful looks they were always a must.

through the years, was fond of his beers,
always an eexcuse to raise 3 cheers,
a man full of laughter and everyone would follow after,
he'd  joke, you'd choke leaving you with a croke.

when he was around, there was never a frown,
one thing he wouldn't do, was bring you down,
you know he was messing, if he was in your life a blessing,
a true gent, in his company time well spent,
a man so strong, a hero, in our hearts he belongs!

We were having a good time
Or at least I was.
Then she said she lost her confidence
Not just one area
She said in every field
Even the fields she used to excel
And she thinks I am responsible
Some way or other I made her lose her confidence
Self-belief and self-worth.
I demean her all the time.
And it was there from a long time
She even had to consult her sister.
But she dare not talk with me
Am I that fearsome?
Did I not make her feel comfortable?
Everyone else could see it clearly happening in her
Except I who happens to her boyfriend
Unfortunately for her.
Do I need to change something?
Or is it something that can’t be fixed?
‘Cause it is just the way I am.
But I won’t be the reason of her downfall.
If it does not work, I will probably leave her for good.
I want her to flourish and live her dreams.
I can’t be selfish with her.

We were lost, but it was a good time
Only because we were lost, did we each other find

Kids thrown into the big world, a whole new one for you,
We were looking for a foothold of sanity
And bumped into a common ground of promises new

We held hands in theory,
2 blind people helping each other through,
But we thought the world was blind,
And sight was just for me and you
An unknown minute apart,
Would turn our lives upside down
We were tourists finding our way,
In a strange strange town

Our dreams seemed to shatter before our eyes,
But we gave ourselves hope
We took solace in the fact,
That 'least we were at the same end of the rope

We prayed, that the light at the tunnel may appear
We insisted we're brave, even when we were crippled with fear
Those fits of laughter that we shared,
Seemed like oxygen on a mountaintop
We were warmth,
When below freeze point the temperature dropped

So you see,
We were lost, but it was a good time
Now we're lost again,
And I just want that old time
When 2 people are lost, but just one finds their way...

my phone beeped
in an almost deserted train compartment.
my boss,
'where have you reached?'
I sighed and replied,
'should reach in 5'
(would reach in 20)
same old dance
to the tune of corporate slavery.

a sharp sound,
I looked up.
the sound dissolved
into a fit of giggles.

a group of kids
playing around, teasing,
their mother close by;
a hawker, selling trinkets in the train.

it looked so natural.
a working mum
looking after her kids while on the job
(doesn't work that way does it?
guess they didn't have anywhere safe
without her)

I couldn't look away.

it was such a sight...
torn, tattered clothes
dirt and mud all over
and those innocent giggles;
it didn't add up.

I was tired, aching,
infatuating about sleep;
feet bleeding in killer heels,
rushing around without purpose,
forced into an exploitative overtime job
by myself; frustrated,
trying to keep up with society.

the little family
calm, collected;
torn, tattered smiles held with grace,
facing their exploitative poverty
with innocent mischief and honest labour.

confused,
I had a thought:
that's the life they've known,
this is the life I've known.
we fit in our lives...
differently?

no...
we fit in different lives in the same way.
I struggle she struggles,
we both have good bad days.

I didn't realize I was smiling
till she smiled back.

I bought something
and got off at the next stop,
wishing she has more good days than bad
and the kids keep their giggles
a little longer than they can..
