I HAVE FINALLY RE-EDITED AND FINISHED MY FIRST BOOK, FROM CRO MAGNON TO PRO AVERAGE MAN: AN ASSORMENT OF POEMS!!!!!

Well, I have officially made my first book of poetry. The book is entitled From Cro Magnon to Pro Average Man: An Assortment of Poems. This was the first time I ever attempted making a book, and finally I have pulled it off!!! I made this book through the website: www.bookemon.com. Just a few minutes ago, I actually published the book on Bookemon for the whole world to buy! So, if you’ve wanted a copy all along, are interested in reading it now, and/or just want to help me keep chasing my dream of becoming a known-poet by paying for the book, YOU CAN!! Here’s what you do:

You go to www.bookemon.com

You enter “From Cro Magnon to Pro Average Man” into the search bar in the upper-right hand part of the screen.

When you hit “Search,” my books should pop up!! MY books! I actually made it.

There are two types of the book. A hardcover and a softcover version. It will say which version is which under the title. The hardcover version sells for $28.72, plus tax. And the softcover version sells for $18.07, plus tax.

If you would be so awesomely-amazing to buy a copy, just hit ADD TO CART, Then scroll down and hit PROCEED TO CHECKOUT. Hit CONTINUE under GUEST CHECKOUT, and enter your information there.

NOW, I KNOW THE BOOK IS KINDA PRICY, BUT BOOKEMON SETS THE PRICES THEMSELVES. MY APOLOGIES.

Or, if you don’t have any money to spend and just want a little preview of the book, you can hit READ beside the book and get a free 20 page preview!!

Again, thank you to everyone who has supported me through this long process of self-publishing my first book of poetry. And thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to buy the book and actually does. THAT WOULD MEAN THE LITERAL WORLD TO ME.
Thank you all again. Now I have all my time devoted to the continuing and making of my second book, Pocket Change for Priceless Memories. It’s coming soon!!

Thanks again everyone!

Nick
Thank you to everyone for your support.

and I woke from a dream
as fading clouds float downstream
and collect like leaves at the mouth
of the sea, children of the spring
monsoons, but today merely a wave
I see all this from my perch
high above the main, rolling to and fro
on Mother's breath, her every sigh
gives us motion, portends danger
leaning her shoulder on rocky cliffs
and I woke from a dream
to a screaming train car
gripping the tracks, gobbling human snacks
and spitting them back out on the streets
passing signs that press for cash
as goblin laughs mock and sneer
from the fleeting recesses, off limits
to civilian souls, just one more stop to go
and I woke from a dream
with bare feet on cool tile
water drops pooling in low spots of grout
and steam collecting in the corners
while dawn peeks through thawed out
windows, a dim promise of the heat of day
shaking the dew from my eyes I see
in the mirror haze, strange reflections,
unfamiliar through a glass roof sky
cursing screaming questions why
and I woke from a dream
and I finally woke free
in your arms, far from dark seas
and subway dreams and prophesies
clawing sleep like an attacker
wrestling sheets and memories
and welcoming the day to ponder
what these visions foretell, left to
wonder the vast expanse of mind
fumbling for a pen to try
and I woke from a dream

(Classic music playing, people with masks are dancing)

I was once invited into a fairytale-like occasion
Yes, it's true, it's not a delusion
An event where I can hide my identity
A place of silence, an oasis of serenity
A place where I couldn't recognize faces
But I can hear their distinct tone of voices

Some sits quiet, pretending to be mysterious
Some keep it real, yet they look so serious
People will judge you in the attire you wear
That will give you an uneasy feeling by their intimidating stare
What I wear is a suit colored like the sun
Given and knitted by my lovely oldman

(A man shouts, "this is the moment for the final dance
Grab your partners now for a tremendous performance"
)

As I roam, I saw someone alone in a room
Wearing a tiara symbolizes the moon
She was in tears, holding a glass of whine
I realized she isn't fine
I walk towards her to offer my hanky
She grab it to wiped her tears then she smiled at me

Oh, she exhibits her glossy red lips
Crossing paths with her feels like eclipse
Her eyes shining bright likes the stars in the galaxy
I'm so in love in this blissful remedy
I can see through the facade and tell she's in distress
I also can feel the sorrowful sensation in my chest

(The emcee shouts again for the last time,
"We'll now be playing the last song in line")

When I heard the emcee, I questioned myself "what to do?"
I told my self, "I'm gonna dance her that's what I need to"
I didn't let anxiety rush in, so I close the doors for it
Final count, And I said in the final minute,

**"You are worth beyond that mask,
Just one dance, that is all I ask"
From the album, "UNORTHODOX KIND OF POET"

Enjoy.

I fall in love everyday
I fall in love with the idea that people want me

Need me

There's nothing that feels better than knowing your wanted and needed.
That those you care about care just as much back.

Crave your attention as you do
And you fall in love with that
Not them per se, but the idea that they appreciate you as you them
It's a mutual happiness of attention and contentment.

The trick though, the downfall
Is making sure they don't fall for you
Mistake their lust as something more
And the same goes for you.

This is a dangerous world filled with complicated chemical mixes of feelings and responses that we have no control of.

So make sure you know what your getting into when you choose to care about someone and make them a part of your life
Always wanting to help those people who don't see their wonderful mess and potnentjal discover it for themselves. It's just my thing and I love it.

Have an eye of compassion.
Have an outstretched hand.
Have a gentle mouth with which
to carry sensitive words.
So that you might:
see the love in others,
reach those stranded in the outer orbit of life,
and speak words that carry
others to the heights of love.

I listened to promises from a drunk,
"Bourbon Talking," I should have thunk,
The day passed, the weeks concluded,
I tried to work out who was deluded,
Waiting for red herrings,
The months and years were ending,
Decades rolled by, one day,
I realised he should be at AA,
Not so comical,
The vocab. was lyrical,
Centuries passed, millennia concluded,
The world exploded, universe imploded,
Worked out who was deluded,
Now for tradies, through phone books, I go walking,
So, girls, never listen when it' s "bourbon talking!!!"
Feedback welcome.

it's been two years and i remember that night through
a drunken haze, but no one ever taught me that no matter who you are
(almost) every drunk person is friendly and that should not be confused
with friendship or even acquaintances

you always said, "drunk men tell no lies,"
but then you would slur, "i swear i'm sober"
i should have known not to believe you
i should know that drunk people are anything but truthful
you just say whatever comes to mind
and two years ago that happened to be, "i want to be burned"
which left me with a scar on the back of my hand
that reminds me of a boy i can't ******* stand

two years ago that happened to be, "i'd like a pack of belmonts, please."
and "yes," when the cashier asked if i wanted king size
i wasn't dumb enough to think i wouldn't get addicted
i never really expected black tar
coming out of my throat
or nicotine making most of the decisions for me
headaches stomach aches anger sadness and suicidal
are all synonyms for withdrawal
yellow stained fingers and an empty wallet
a drug worse than you

two years ago, i asked you to be mine and you said yes
two years ago i thought i had found true happiness and i was naive enough
to think i would be the one person whose first love would last forever
even though you lived miles away
two years later i'm still not sure who broke up with who first
i think you had already broken up with me in your mind
a place i used to go for comfort
two years later you are a complete stranger

two years later i am a complete stranger

two years later

-                             -                               -                          -         -                 -

two years ago

i went to a party and made some of the biggest

                                                                                    dumbest

                                                                                                drunken

                                                                                                         decisions

                                    of my life
but then i have to ask
would you go back in time and change it all?
                                                             would i?
this started abt me and ended abt u. y???
Dive into the dark depths
Of the unfathomable sea
Of the baffling human mind;
Explore the concealed layers
From its surface, ever active and restless;
Slowly sink into the sub-conscious
And the more powerful unconscious mind
That regulates vital functions ceaselessly,
Remaining silent and invisible, all the while.
* Move deeper until you reach the source
  And find life's perennial spring
   From from your innermost being
Into the boundless universe, ever expanding,
Beyond the confines of the sensuous mind.
  When this inward journey, spiritual,
Brings insight into the subtle working
Of the hidden mind, you emerge wiser
   And stronger than ever before
To weather the storms of life, ephemeral,
And realize man's fervent prayer -
"Lead us from Darkness to Light"-
   " Thamasoma Jyothirgamaya " ,
The ultimate aim of all mankind.

* In order to achieve this, one should strive to discipline one's  body, mind and intellect and attain tranquility and poise. All religions suggest practical methods. In Indian Philosophy,  Patanjali's 'Ashtaanga Yoga' is very well-known.

I hope* you read this letter
every word between the lines

I hope you read the frustration
with what I could not confide

I hope you read the anger
that's left me such a mess

I hope you read the million questions
rattling my little head

I hope you read these swollen eyes
when they were still yours to see

I hope you read these supple lips
when with yours, would still agree

I hope you read these warm fingers
when yours were still willing to hold

I hope you read the little lies
that left your promises bold

I hope you read the love
inevitably bled

I hope you read the hope
amid all the things unsaid

I hope you read the resentment
of letting go so soon

I hope you read these lines
the last ones I write for you
