Take me to Charlie’s Pasture
Where the grass is green and grows
Far beyond the concrete town
And the ocean stays so close
Take me to Charlie’s Pasture
Where the sun sets on the waves
Chopping and swaying with the wind
Beneath her golden rays
Take me to Charlie’s Pasture
Right around 6 o’clock
I can show you the old gazebo
And find you skipping rocks
I’m always searching for a place
where I can feel so free
And the spots I feel at my best
Are always by the sea
So drive me down that gravel road
If you really want to know
My heaven, my soul, my sweet escape
To Charlie’s Pasture, let us go

Ink runs through my blood
The pen gives me life
Poetry is my escape
I have a new idea,
It's called...
"D O  A N Y T H I N G"
The concept is simple.
Any task is worthy.
Just do it.
Then do something else.
I will start it now....

How often I had wanted to be a sunflower...

Living in tranquil communities with unity...

Putting up a blooming smile...

Thinking yellow thoughts...

And turning to the sun for positivity and prayer!
Sometimes the heart runs to live with nature to escape the pains and sorrow of a humanly life! ❤Gratitude for reading this! :)

Someday I’ll have a desk, with a scenic view
In nature, where modernity I can eschew.
I’ll write stories, some might even be true;
And I’ll be free, do always what I choose to:
Escape this wretched trap that benefits the few,
Finally be content, not always so blue.
If this sounds appealing, I hope you find it too.

everywhere I go
there is time
on my computer
via internet
on the radio marked
hour by hour
by DJ’s with nothing better
to do than spin three minute tunes
on my alarm clock
on all the clocks
in all the rooms in my house
on the cooker
in my car
on my phone
time is everywhere
except with me
sometimes I have to escape
and forget it exists
slowly and quietly
eroding my life
marking my days
sometimes I just want to be late
as though it doesn’t matter
and nobody minds

Upon tortured trails did Tandi go
weeping and wailing her wedded woe.
A burden for her to carry
for the man whom she did marry
was most violent and brutal
with no real morals nor scruples,
many blows she could not parry.

So she shot the source of her sadness
his gun giving both grief and gladness.
Whilst laying in his bed
a bullet in the head
ensured he was stone dead,
quiet now is his hate
gone beyond Hell's foul gate.

The limp lifeless legacy she left
bade boldness to bolt and be bereft.
So away she did flee
slipping into the night
her chance of being free
hiding out of plain sight
from those who find the body.

A horse she hounded and hurried fast
runs rapid in rain rinsing her past.
As memories slip away
she greets a promising day
smiling at the road ahead
the adventures she had said
were once only in her head.

Tandi toyed with travelling the lands
heart and harmony held in her hands.
With weather overcast
Riding away so fast
and although she has sinned
turns her face to the wind,
Hails the future at last.
