Ah,
The calm before the storm
We both know how this ends
Before it even begins
What a distilled tragedy.
Her mind was still spinning.
Still a sinning poor girl just passing through.
Walking hopeless and dead into this world full of nothing,
but a slipperiness.
Only to get for a sad kind of
desolated disaster
that's waiting for her
on the other side.

i get notifications
with your name in all bold
and i think of the words that roll off your tongue
the ones only i have heard
forming on your lips
and then all of a sudden
i am thinking of us
limbs splayed across each other
wondering if this is reality
or only something we created ourselves
because when i am here by myself
i find that i am craving you
more and more
and every time i realize that i cannot have you
never in our lifetime
do i start to wonder
what in the hell are we doing to ourselves
that make us lust after one another
when we know how toxic it can be
because i am a tornado and you are a hurricane
and the only thing that will survive
this natural disaster
is heartbreak and debris
of what we once were
and never will be again

They're not good for each other
He's a tornado that goes around and around
messing things up
broken hotel rooms and blurry vision
He's dizzy but he wont stop
She's the thunder and lightning
that you have to cover your ears to ignore
because its too loud and comes out of nowhere
She's exhausted but she wont stop
He's a tornado that isn't afraid to mix with the thunderstorm
She's a thunderstorm that's trying to change that tornado
They're not good for each other
because He's a wreck and She's a storm
but the two disasters follow the others lead
and they like where they are
even if it's in the middle of a storm
I kinda like this one
This is based around one of the stories I'm writing now
I promise my poems will get happier soon
They all seem slightly gloomy
but brighter days are in the future

mom is hooked on medication
unknowingly an addict
dad is a *******
worthless apologizes one after the other
and she
she is a disaster
a product of their creation

I am hollow and afraid
I wonder - do they see my pain?
I hear echoes of the rain
the downpour inside my brain
I see the drops falling down
I want to stop them, but
I am hollow and afraid

I pretend I am fine, but
I feel very far from fine
I run my fingers through my hair
I fear judgement, everywhere
I cry inside, but only there, for
I am hollow and afraid

I know they say "life is a wonder"
I say life is a four-letter-word
I dream of death, desolation, disaster
I just want it all to end, because
**I am so hollow, and so afraid
The earth has a heartbeat
It's as alive as you and me
It's alive yet holds so much life
The earth is amazing
Wise from millions of years we can't imagine
It has beauty no human could attain
God's wonderful creation
It took six days to make
And is filled with so much wonder and amazement
Earth; the first mother
The earth has a heartbeat
It breathes as do we
Provides us a house
The ungrateful humans
The selfish race
The earth is sad
It sees us drifting farther and farther from the farther
It knows disaster is coming
It offers us what it can
I see a piece of my God
When I admire the beauty of the world
The earth is alive
AND again tonight she cries

Run, hide, cover your eyes,
Won't you play the game?
One, two, three, four,
Don't you try to peek.

Listen hard, in the dark,
Five, six, seven,
Listen for the screams of fear,
The rumbling of the earth.

Feel the world crashing down,
Eight, nine, and ten,
The concrete crumbling into dust,
The crushing of the bones.

Breathe it in, breathe it clear,
Eleven, twelve, thirteen,
The smell of fire and smoldering embers,
Dangerously near.

Open your mouth, let it free,
Fourteen, fifteen, sixteen,
Let the shrieks of pain and sadness,
Rip away from your throat.

Don't uncover your eyes,
Keep your hands over your face,
*"It will protect you my dear,
From the anxiety and the fear."

Girls like me are so hot
We are the sun burning into oblivion
Causing fires in the sky of your sheets
We're ghosts with beating hearts
Our minds concrete fires,
Wordless books, eroding cliffs.
All the things you started but could never finish.

Girls like me, we're unattainable.
You can only pretend you had us.
If only for a second before we disappear.
Moving like quicksand through your fingers.
Leaving you grasping at the air for nothing.
You'll wonder if your imagination
Struck cruel again.

Our lips won't offer you salvation.
You won't find peace in our bodies.
We kiss with scarred knuckles
We do not love gently, if we love at all.
You can hold us tightly but we won't break
Girls like me are made of marble;
Not even fire can **** us.

Us hurricane girls are the devils delight.
We consume souls with delicate fingers.
Nails red and perfectly manicured to a point.
Our lips plush; the taste of cherry and blood.
We paint our desires on our fingertips
Leaving traces of them on everything we touch
We're disasters but we're oh so beautiful
