Why do we dance better when we are in love?

Why do we dance better, when we are in love?
A lack of embarrassment,
As you feel like you've been drugged.
You feel the music more, because the lyrics have new meaning.
The description to the picture of the woman you've never seen.

The lights enlighten your mind, as the colour fills her face.
She appears before you, when you’re too drunk to concentrate,
On the words she is saying, that you know would be great,
But she thinks you’re not listening and now it's too late.
Her attentions been taken, by another hopeful singleton;
An unknown quantity, you never had time to think of.

He's taken your place, in entrapping her mind;
He's the guy you should have been, but you never had the time.
He's the second rate choice, that wins this fair maiden’s soul;
He's taken your maiden, so now you should go.

The girl I think I love, isn't really who I love;
I just haven't realised, that my time has not yet come,
But love is on the way, my heart is its destination;
But to whom will it be given and mutually taken?

If love is on the way, how long must I wait?
And will it hurt me like before?
Or will I see that it's a new day?
Full of new opportunities, new hopes and new dreams;
But this time around, there will be a happy ending.

Thinking of the future fills my heart with such gladness;
Knowing I could fall in love with a stranger,
Who will take away my sadness.
Knowing anything is possible; my futures full of hope,
That one day I'll get the girl and one day I'll fall in love.

To listen to new words, from a voice I've never heard,
Would be such a thrill, would be more than I deserve.
For the strong always win, as the weaker man falls behind;
But surely I deserve love too, I've committed no crime.

So why am I punished, every time I see her face?
The last kiss we'll ever share, now only leaves a bitter taste.
We could have been good for each other,
If I only stood my ground
And told this girl that I like her,
To make her smile and not frown.

I walk into the bar, as my future sits on her own.
I must seize this last chance and tell her she's the one.
So we sit there all night long, telling tales of our past,
Whilst thinking of the future, as I wonder will this last?

She understands your desires, your wishes and your dreams.
She wants to be with you; well at least that's what you think.
You must let the goodness of love, overcome the bitterness
And let the love light shine on her, so you can feel the goodness,
To light the warmness you feel, so you can ignore all your doubts
And make a hole in your heart, to let the burden seep out.

I'd make a hole in her head, to remove the memories of the hurt,
To help her look to the future; it is what she deserves.
To let her remember the good times
And the love that we could have;
To make her think of our future
And forget the painful past.

I want to take away the weight,
That you carry upon your shoulders
And hope we make a connection,
Between what's inside us.
The worlds too heavy for you to carry,
I think it's time you gave it back;
I only want to make you happy
And stop you ever feeling sad.

Now the weight has been lifted
And you’re free from the burden,
Will you join me on this quest
To find our Garden of Eden?
To create our own world,
Exactly as we need it to be;
To share in the ecstasy of possibilities.

Our future could be golden,
Like the setting summer sun.
Loves a new weight on your shoulders,
But it gives you someone,
Who will be there until you die,
Unless I die before you do;
But I'd refuse to be killed,
If it meant that I'd lose you.

Blaze a blunt, because they’re all in, finally made it, feeling good, like I wanted. Out to pour honey over the silk, be back before lunch time and call a pusherman. Making ends at the last straw. The wind will now your thoughts, as soon as they leave the tongue.
Voracious mass spreaded in poetry. Produced thyself, for myself, crystallized in memory. Like my emotions had been froze, harsh times in hardships had my heart still and muted. For every word written in hope to explode profound sensations. Burn. Smile at awareness. Heaviness in wisdom, whirlwind of poetic allures.
Infusing in the veins of others. Images of me printed on your memory. Invictus enigma. I stayed closed up, poetry is a selling tool. It’s been a long time. I open up for those who toil in their efforts. Eyes tightly sealed. Staggering in my absurdity. Plucked from obscurity. Where you lived once in the void of life, where they all in strange ways placed value in the most mundane actions, in a place now where reality had collided with mythological events. Turning out folklore.
My entire life has not been in protest of human principles.
Just saw the worth in innovating originality, to go out make something of thyself. Because the life lived without confront it’s destiny and conquering my own personalized fate, was not worth one simple-basic moment.
As for those I’m not apart of. Do not weep now or never. It’s such a waste.  I left to cross over. Rumors spark chatter of death.

Alice

She was the one in whom I had found love at first sight.
In wonderland I gave a primal shout
And Alice came to rock out loud.
This head-banging beauty shone so bright;
I knew I had to make her mine this night.

In search of love, the boy of her dreams,
Stood in front of her at last to be seen.
She smiled because she knew her prayers had been answered;
She danced for me and she was my exotic dancer.

We spent the night together lost in each other’s eyes,
The stars above were the colour of disco lights.
Summer was gone but the heat was still here,
In her arms I felt something move me, so I let go of my fears.

In her is saw love shining back at me,
For in her beauty I could see she could give me all that I need.
Her smile was the smile of the Mona Lisa;
Such peace to be found in her, my panacea.

Knocking some back,
You know I'm not chasing.
I swear I tried to cut back,
But embracing
It's just in my nature.

So don't get attached
When we're dancing
So stop advancing,
Because I'm just glancing.

You'll wake to cold.
But I told you,
You'll wake.
So don't claim I'm fake.

arms in the air,
they fall so effortlessly,
so gracefully.
eyes closed,
i feel my body turn into the spring air,
feet moving in every direction
like the world was mine and every step i took made it.
my body moved in the direction my heart pulled it at.
i felt a smile grow onto my face as i let the music notes in,
as i let their voices in and fill my veins with elation.
as i feel my heart closing in again,
my steps and arm movements become softer.
opening my eyes again,
i'm back on earth,
every inch of my body tingling with euphoria.
i love dancing

When we're high
We dance inside my head.
We dance in a way that we've never danced before.
You and I on a stage of collected thoughts.
Without fear how we move.
Without fear anyone watches.
We move in intrigue.
Without chairs or walls.
We dance among stars and eons of galaxies.
Your eyes trail the milky way.
Things otherwise complex.
Fully understood when we're high.
High off each other.
High off life.
You and I the experience of pulsating neon.
Swirling around and around.
The places we visit with a hop and a skip.
Your thighs a dress covered by stars,
Inside my head.
The place we go without fret.
Worry or fear.
Under the neon lights.
Every time I look at you.

When words are not enough,
and the world won’t get off her back,
she dances the Devils way,
She’s a princess,
wait she’s a queen,
wait she’s an angel,
wait she’s everything,
a Goddess,
the hottest performing artist I’ve ever seen,

and she’s dancing,
dancing is her therapy,

I mean,
I’m not James Brown,
but it’s a man’s world,
even if Rihanna runs this town,

See,
she’s been suppressed all her life,
and I’m not just talking about Rihanna,
I’m talking about every girl that was ever forced to be a wife,
just to survive in this life,

she was touched by her father,
or brother or cousin,
when she was just a little girl,
I know we all wish it wasn’t,
but it is true,
so what’s a girl to do,
when she’s a clean 13 messing with The ***** Dozen,

this isn’t battle of the sexes,
this is war of the worlds,
wants to be a woman but she’s just a girl,
no No Doubt just burnt out nerves taken turns,

she never asked to be born,
with the burden of being beautiful,
but she refuses to conform,
she is attractable irrational and radical,
so when it’s all too much,
the stares and the catcalls,
the aggressive forceful touch,
the nails across her back like a blackboard,
and the moans become just white noise,
she takes it all in,
she forgives the man because he’s just a boy,
he is an angel even if he has fallen,
she takes it all in,
and she uses all of those abuses,
as the fuel with the tools which induces,
an allusive state of truth which,
allows her to move with intuitive smoothness,
and lose herself in the music morphing into what a centrifuge is,
separating fluids transforming what was otherwise useless abuses,
into a truth that cruises and confuses the stupid stooges,

she dances,
in a statement of glorious refusal to submit to their ideals,
she is more than a princess queen angel goddess,
she is fire burning up all preconceived notions of *** appeal,
the real deal,
dancing sweating cleansing her soul and her pores,
moving faster in progression refuting repression,
overcoming an obsession of oppression and knocking down all doors,
she is not a possession,
though she is possessed when,
she’s a dancing expression of how we all feel and more,

no words are enough,
she shows what we all feel,
she reveals what,
was before thinly concealed,

she is the perfect expression,
of imperfect circumstances,
she is poetic stanzas,
she is the paint on the canvas,
there is no question that she is the answer,
and all of this is made clear when she takes it all in,
let’s go of everything and dances…

My Darling come along with me
I’ve packed our picnic basket.
It’s warm outside, the sun is bright
There’s no need to bring a jacket.

Take my hand, let’s run with glee,
Your joy is a beauty that leaves me amazed.
When the day finally comes to a close
We can lay down, look up, and star gaze.

But tears fall with the drops of rain,
Cutting off our cries of laughter.
Storm clouds chase the sun away
Our joy forgotten in the hereafter.

“I’m sorry,” you say as it starts to pour
“Our plans are in complete disarray.”
But I shrug my shoulders and pull you close,
“Rain or shine, with you I will spend my days.”

And though my feet have no rhythm
I dance with you in the rain
And let the water, like teardrops,
wash away all our pain.

Though our worries make us weary
And like thunder come with a crash
As we dance they too shall wash away
And like lightning be gone in a flash.

I just want to sweep you off your feet,
Swinging, swaying, dancing cheek to cheek,
Until the raging winds within fade into a breeze
And our weary minds at last be set at ease.

So recall when next the sun’s forbade to shine,
And our plans are put to waste with great disdain
Just kick off your shoes and take my hand,
We can step outside and go dancing in the rain.
