I guess                     up
I could trip
the stairs  of
my mind
in time
to find
the line

I shouldn't have crossed.
you know the one.

silence was her music
when it was his best friend.
she became the light
when he rose from the darkness.

dim lights caressed him
with her scent sweet as rose
they may have some differences,
yet, love was found when their roads crossed.

now every thing is colorful
all that was black and white.
still they made grey their color
its the starting point
when they started

He's the nearest, biggest star to her--
her light, her sun, is what he is.
With him, the most vibrant of days occur;
not a shade or color is missed.

And she's the morning star to him--
his gentle greeting sent from above.
With her, the celestial matter of his daily hymn;
not a note or tune unloved.

So who said stars only have to meet at night;
When the two star-crossed lovers will cross paths some way?
And who said stars only shine when it's not bright?
For them, they radiate light better in the day.
it's been a while since i've been this poetic for a friend! It's 12:36am as I post this, but let's say my mind is working as if it's noon and i just finished downing a cup of black coffee with two sugars.

Here's to N x S! And I love them both as much as the number of stars in the sky. Whether I see them or not, I know they're there and I love them, in both day and night.

there was the sun.
brighter than anyone could believe,
passionate with its fire.

and the moon.
a sentimental romantic,
with a wild shimmer.

the moon lusted the luminescent brilliance of the day,
the sun fell for the vivacious spark of night,
and soon the two fell deeply in love.

now the sun had a fate,
a generational inevitability,
of an almighty “solar eclipse.”

solicitous about the phase to come,
as the vibrant colors of blood red
occupied their minds

fret none, said the sun,
for i rise and set for you, my dear,
perhaps the “solar eclipse” may not transpire at all.

but it did.
and the moon did nothing but stand in the way,
as the sun relished in the luminescent glory.

and just like any crossing of paths,
the eclipse came to an end,
and they went their separate ways.

I love you
For all the times I didn't say it
For all the times you didn't know it
I love you
For every breath you questioned it
For every bit of hurt
I love you
For every time I cut you off
For everything I do wrong
I love you
For the lines crossed
For the tears lost
I love you

When an issue does not get solved it takes the form an obstacle
An obstacle if not tackled, over a period of time it’s becomes a hurdle
A hurdle if not crossed at the right time, then most probably you will miss your aim.

Time is taken to understand, realize and accept an issue as an issue in it’s present form.

An issue can be in the form an obstacle,
it can also be a hurdle,
it can be anything.

Most importantly one must know how things started,
where did an issue crop up,
initially where did things go wrong.

Once understood, accept the same,
accept the fact that you made a mistake.
No point in going for reconciliation, since time is important.

See that habits change, attitude differs
Make a note, issues like this will not crop up again
Once decided, be determined in your mind and follow the same

It’s important to keep going along the right track,
since once the track changes,
it’s not the destination that comes to mind,
what one feels is what is written in fate.

So no more of an imagination play and also what else is there in the mind that the mind desires.

It’s important to follow your aim and keep in mind to maintain your focus on the same.

Definitely a moment in time will come when you will get what you aim.

We are crossed in the corner
Seeded by selfish thought

Mind wandered in the ticking of time
Bent by insidious temptations

Step over the invisible boundaries
Doomed by conscience demons

We sit alone, spot light challenged
Drained by numb sensed chills

Glowing constellations and powdered snow,
Fingers intwined under the cashmere blanket.

I promise, I swear, whispered over and over,
The broken record, near the crumbling bodies.
Their bodies are dead, but the promises their souls made reverberate through time.

We always fall for the people we aren't supposed to,
Because they're the forbidden oxygen that keeps us from blue,
They're a poison, a toxin, it can never last,
But your heart never beats harder than when moments between you pass,
And since we have a numbered amount of breaths,
I want as much of you in my lungs until there is nothing left.
