Families cuddling
Lovers kissing
Friends hugging
We all say goodbye without knowing
Where they're actually heading
and what we'll be facing.

I love you, but you love her
What did I do so wrong that you would leave me with my heart in my hands?
I miss you, but you don't think twice about me.
My broken heart has been shattered too many times
I gave you everything, but you don't care.
Do you ever think about me the same way I think about you?
Those stupid love songs bring back so many memories of last summer.
The laughs, the smiles, the way we danced, even the way we cried - Will forever be in my heart.
Why did you leave me for her? What does she have the I don't?

It pains me to say this, but I am happy that you are happy now, even if it does not mean you are with me.
I will forever remember what we went through, and I will always cherish our memories.
This goes out to my ex-boyfriend. I think about him everyday. He has found a new girlfriend. I am happy that he is happy again. Thank you for the memories I will always cherish... Even though I miss you more than you will ever know, I wish the best for the both of you.

My body steeps in this hot sarcophagus,
Coated in fake butter topping.

I watch trollops quaffing hoppy-scotch,
Flipping wristwatches for moves to jump rope two-and-two.

Like when I was 10, and I saw this ***** white trash can of a man,
Fly out of a grocery store with a 40oz like he was Peter Pan.

But I knew deep down, in my swashbuckling soul of souls,
That Peter Pan got Wendy by being a gentleman.

So this fever, that has my mobile phone not shaking in my pocket,
I keep staring at every five seconds for you to call.

Is just another moment in my life to cherish, because if we should be married, And I want to talk. I'll just need to walk down the hall.

Poet: be gentle with yourself
never compare yourself to the coffee house across the street
the one that looks so lonely and wise with it’s brewing tales
and tea leaves
do not forget that you are a magician’s tarot cards, fate
holders and dream menders and plot twisters
poet: be gentle with yourself
you are a small wind hiding from the storm
but trust me your calm will come
remember that you are made of the stars and the universe
and that every atom inside of you is alive just like how
your words are
poet: be gentle with yourself
I know how it feels to hold back from writing
because you depreciate your own self worth
but trust me
the sun shines every day
just to catch a glimpse of you
and the moon cherishes your
fluttering eyelids the way I
cherish you.
