Isolated I stood at the shadowed corner
illuminated only by the street lamp
across the decrepit road.

Deafeningly silent I sat perched
at the bench awaiting my vessel
to deliver me.

Coyly he drifted into my universe
wearing a cloak and a smile
that would charm a Queen's guard.

Stiff like a board I stared at him
existing at a medium between
the end and the beginning.

Puzzled I was at a loss of how
to approach this drifter and his
exceedingly charming demeanor.

Thunderously my heart thumped
waiting anxiously for my vessel
that could not come soon enough.

Do I dare succumb?

She is not just a girl
She has it all

She believes in
Manners
Miracles
Dreams

Above all
Her charm is,
Belief on self
Aura she carries
Strength she possess
She is a free soul

Tell me more…..

That she,
Is that you?
Infinitely wonderful
Or, just leave it

I got inducted into a PhD program.
I am very happy now.

Loving my days as they shine,
Over the edge I pushed sorrow,
Viewing my love grow mature,
Enjoying the achievements I am.

Putting consciously the efforts,
Onto hers and my own life too,
Over the hours of togetherness,
Jovially invested time & loyalty,
Actuating each other to do the best.
I am offered admission to a PhD program and I think that apart from my parents' guidance and my own efforts, my best friend Pooja Shah is to be credited for boosting my confidence and focus.

From August 1, begins a year of hardwork and dedication.

My heart is whole
but it has sharp edges.
It got wet on my sleeve;
now, it hangs from my necklace

-round like a pendant; hurt hangs
round my neck with a vengeance:
like a lighthouse on a dark night,
blinding sailors. It’s offensive.

It draws them near like a siren's call,
but the sky bleeds red at the first sign of morning.
The captain is certain he'll lock land at dawn,
but does any siren ever sing a song without a warning?
Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning; red sky at night, sailor's delight.

Love, embrace the healing
Ignore the feelings welling up inside.
The world awaits before your jaded eyes.
Learn the lesson in your reflection
From the aquatic blue.
It’s hard for you not to reminisce how you

Spent your life
Trying to make sure you prevent
Your demise,
Guiding lights will help you realize.

Stare in the big blue yonder
You always wander off inside your mind.
Release the turmoil you hold so dear to you.
Let the cerulean absorb your worries,
Float in tranquility.
The truth you seek is in the twilight.

“I’m afraid to see what waits for me,
I don’t trust myself to believe”

Spend your life
Diving into your escapade.
Ocean night,
Thrive to find what makes you feel alive.

Haven’t talked to you since Saturday,
I wanted to call but I didn’t know what to say.
Did...did we make a mistake?
A mis-mistake?

In the morning when the liquor wore off
Did you remember the night before?
Or did that fade?

You grabbed your clothes in the glow of the morning.
“I gotta go, I gotta go”
Then you left frantically.

I pulled into your driveway today,
I wanted to talk but I wanna hear what you’d say.
Did...did we make a mistake?
You think so?

It’s so cold now but your lips are so warm,
And your fire’s enticing me.
Can you feel it?

You grabbed your clothes in the glow of the morning.
Hyper night left both of us yearning.
Awake in the twilight when you’re not here,
I’m gripping my pillow.

You could be my drug.
You grabbed your clothes in the glow of the morning.
I could be bad luck.
It’s so cold now but your lips are enticing.
This could be young love.
I’ll take that chance to see what we can be.

You're the love of my life, my good luck charm, my one and only, hopefully my future husband.
You can never understand how I feel about you, about us.
I never want us to end. You hold a very special place in my heart.

                            Forever and always, my lover

I found you and fell instantly.
you pulled me under, an undertow in the ocean.
you washed me in your unrelentingly charm.
seductive eyes. luring hands. tempting lips.
head tilted back, mouth ajar with a heavy sigh, eyes still locked and trained on mine.
you reach your own victory,
and it’s even in your name.
