My eyes blink shutterclicks against the sun.
She is so bright as she paints  
A sky that is so blue and a grass so green.

Today I can't swallow the weight in my chest
Today the sun is so bright
Too bright.

And just like the moon
We all have the dark side
concealed
withing ourselves,
rugged
from scars of time,
craters of hopes and dreams
that can't be known- at all
and
just like the tidal force
it has slowed us
to the point
where we always put on
the bright side...

when the moon is full and very, very bright
you have to look twice and respect the sight
it's been coming around, since the start of it all
when it's at it best, it appears like a ball
that ball is bright if the clouds are just right
shining in the new day as it completes its night's flight

A lantern to light my path

Dear Shiny Star,
Guiding me from above.
There are millions like you,
but none are as bright.

Dear Shiny Star,
So far away from here.
I stretch my arm to touch you,
but I never seem to reach you.

Dear Shiny Star
Do my pleas fall into deaf ears?
Will you ever embrace me into your light,
and take me away from here?

Dear Shiny Star,
We will finally be together.
May our light fade into one,
now that my end is near.
