streams of consciousness

her deliberation sways

gentle breeze of thought

This beautiful night, dark with drizzle,
My lines you stole, started to whistle,
The wordless song fresh and tuned,
The music in air stopped then resumed...

My foot inside your foot prints,
I would take a million tiny steps,
Enveloped in the breeze that embraced you,
Eyes closed, pure and secure...

There are words unspoken within my heart,
Can you hear their whispers through the dark?
A song so soft you often miss to listen,
A song so fresh within your heart's reason...

It blooms as your thoughts strides,
Wafts like a fragrance undenied...
I am as easy as a baby's breath,
As cool as mountain's breeze.

Like the dawn that eats up the darkness,
Like the dusk that blankets the brightness,
Like the gentle sweep of the sky and sea,
You spread through the insides of me...

Like the shore that lays next to sea,
Like the breeze that sways the trees,
Like the feather that glides smooth,
My thoughts are here to stay with you...

I just need to close my eyes,
Hug myself,  dance for the song in my mind
The song once you sang on that long drive,
My steps halting,  as you stepped to my side...

We moved together like breeze; effortless,
We moved together like blaze untamed,
We held each other,  like insane,
No strain or stir,  pure music in our steps...

A cloud burst, unearthing us,
Carrying us to an undisclosed haven,
Your breath on my hair, the warmth I felt...
Our breath in sync,  we swayed and held.

Was that a dawn or dusk, when we met?
Was it shining or dowdy as we were swept?
Not a drop of water or a grain of food we took,
Our bodies paralysed,  yet we stood...

Time elapsed,  a day? a month? Or a year?
In a trance we stood by each other.
The earth sped,  we moved together
Faster; yet slower than ever...

A deft breeze eludes
Weaving through the atmosphere
Longing to find you
It's supposed to be three lines, but the text box won't allow it. Ugh.

In false light reflected we stare deeply into eyes the same.
Searching for Truth and finding ourselves shimmering cold over the still lake alone unflinching in the weight of eternity and her majestic indifference; blink.
A madness of heaven reaching through the water below to stir the silent sleeper of your soul, come forth from your depths and breathe the silk air you once knew.
All is glistening in the not so distant morning where the sun roars ancient and abysmal.
Where once Truth sighed heavy into shadow she will once more open like the lily seeking her sky born love.
Despair fades from eyes now clear blue like the sky and the rain washes away anger like dust from your kissed skin.
We blossom into light petals of ultra green and hyper white and dance as the joyous breeze allows.
Soon the darkness must fall again and we shall curl away to forgive the fallacious star that drowns out so many more.
False light will search us for the desperate Truth we hide.
A waking dream that danced on the edge of my eyes into the bright warmth of the sun.

spring
is
in the air
and
as I'm pouring out sweat
from a good days work
trying to find the strength
to carry on
a cool breeze
catches me off my guard,
followed by a warm shower
and lifts my spirits
in a way I have long since forgotten
was even possible

Flowing, gentle water by the sand and silt.
Glowing moon reflected by the river.
The splashes and  the soothing waves,
like music to the ears.
The voices of crickets.
Cool breeze  pushing her hair off her face.
Sand and stones pricking her soft palm,
feet dipped in water.
All worries forgotten, washed away,
as she sat by the river side,
gazing up, towards the heavens.
While everybody was fascinated by the city lights,
she wondered about those twinkling things in the sky.

A calming presence, away from the crowds.
A prepossessing sight she'll never forget.
Nocturnal hours by the river.
The beauty of life captured in a few moments.
An admirer of the Creator, she is.

Alcohol tastes like watermelons
and it reminds me of the sweetness
coated upon your lips.
Nothing left but a cold tile floor,
memories put under the spotlight
induced by a glass or two or three
of strawberry daiquiri
that bring the breeze back to me.

The feeling of the wind
cascading through the rolled down windows
of your '08 Honda,
and the goosebumps on my legs
that you smooth over like bubble wrap.
Your hand is warm,
a little clammy as the temperature hits 75
and your lead foot pushes 95.
You're wearing aviators and a white shirt,
2 buttons closed, 3 following an Open Door Policy —
the color matches my porcelain skin,
and The Temptations sing
the closest thing we'll ever have to
a first dance.
My fingers waltz around your palm,
the only parts of our bodies
following the reckless pursuit
of our minds.
My love for you just grows and grows
You smirk and set free the adorable school boy laugh I fell in love with;
you look over at me,
but I can't focus on your singing voice —
oh-so-beautiful to my ears,
but oh-so-lacking in talent.
This —
wow.
This, is the first time you've ever
told me you loved me.

My hair doesn't get kisses from the wind
when I feel trapped inside.
The fruit isn't as sweet as your charm.
The wine isn't as deep as your grey blue eyes.
The adventure to the bottom of glasses,
the bottom of bottles,
isn't as captivating
as getting lost with you.
All of these road trips remind me of how much you love maps, and might love me.

In England brown birds make dusty circles on overcast days,
The ground blankets itself in moss and cappuccino leaves.
So when the sharp lemony sun fills the breeze with warmth,
And white cotton clouds punctuate the sky and my eyelids,
It feels like home
