Dreams bloom
Over white pages
Filling it with color and ink
Scribbles of thoughts
Scattered throughout
Like pollen in a spring field
Light swells
Blindingly fast
Emconmpassing everything
Nothing but bliss in heaven
For this moonlit fragment.
Random. Kinda liked the feel of this one but less focus on rhythm, more on imagery.

you say life
has beaten and stung you.
you say it’s left you
without a breath.
you say the rain
keeps falling
that sunlight never comes.
you cry yourself to sleep
every night in bed.
you whine when things
start getting rough
because you really
just don’t understand
that pain is sent
to shape you.
to help you grow,
and blossom and bloom.
for those beautiful flowers
that you see drenched in sun
were once pruned too.

Cloudy Heart Aug 2017
I once was a wilted flower
with damaged roots
moving from *** to ***
but no one took the time to water me
put me in sunlight
feed me
or help me grow
I was damaged
my petals were ripped
my stem was browning
I was a lost cause
I lost hope of being a blooming flower.
One day, a beautiful man came along
he saw my damaged petals and browning stem
and said "don't worry, I'll make you bloom again"
He poured some fresh soil
put me in the light
gave me lots of water
and made sure I was alright
my roots started to sink into the soil
my damaged petals started to heal
I looked into the sunlight
and wondered if this was real
as I stand blooming in his window today
I thank him so much for planting me
and letting me know I'll be okay

In splendid repose
One blooming rose lies gleaming
Hummingbirds kiss her

The wind whispers their secrets
As the pollen keeps drifting
This is my first shot at a Tanka. Feedback is most welcome. I can’t really help getting somewhat anthropomorphic about it. Thanks Chaetura for reminding me of the word anthropomorphic.

Here in our garden
I planted you some flowers
They’re blooming for you

Soft blossoms blooming
Hummingbirds preferring the
Sweet nectar inside
Hummingbirds know what they like and are very good at getting it. It takes a lot of flowers to feed a hummingbird and it’s a fascinating thing to observe.

one of them drifted
leaving hearts wounded
some heals
some others never stay the same

the next one built
a new town
paving path
to a new home

third's a charm
he managed to glow
and growing pain
into flowers

the other one picked
a different road
and he killed his old self
to become a butterfly

and the last one's on his way
slowing the ride down
becoming a man of his own
while staying on his roots
Salpicar o teu rosto com farinha, enquanto preparassemos juntos o teu bolo favorito

Dar-te os beijos que me apetecesse, com os olhos, sempre que estivesses distraido a apreciar o "flowering tea", que te desse a escolher

Sentar-me no teu colo e ver-te desenhar

a bateria desenfreada a bater dentro do teu peito...
a tua melhor amiga...

To make a war of white flour with you while we prepare your favourite cake

To kiss you secretly, with my eyes, whenever you would be distracted enjoying the flowering tea of your choice

Sit on your lap and see you drawing

Make you the blanket that cuddles me, entwine my fingers in yours and watch a movie until we fall asleep

To wake you up with a good morning kiss and have breakfast in bed with you

To be the one, to be the only one that makes you smile in the harsh moments, to be the cause of a unrestrained drums that beat inside your chest, to be your best friend, to be the one who makes it worth for you to wake up every day.

I wanted, I believed that you were the exception, the safe harbour for whom it is worth waiting for to share a life.

For you ... for us ... I changed, I ignored my fears and risked it all...
