I see the fighters waging their wars
against unseen enemies,
against the very air they breathe,
against the bodies that pull them down.
I hear their battle cries.
I hear the swords clashing.
They are on a mission:
to bring you down,
to bring all of you down.
No one dares to stop them,
Not even the blood they bleed.
They're here and they want to make it known.
They have found voices inside the caves you closed them in,
They have found freedom in the clothes you put them in,
They have found truth in the mouths of another,
They have found strength with hands collided,
They have found love in eyes intertwined.
They have found each other.
So to all the world: beware!
Beware, be alive, be awake!
For true love is waking from its cave,
Dormant all these years,
it wakes, with hunger
unforeseen, with thirst
unmeasured.
It wakes.
It opens its eyes to the world
Its ready.
Its awake and ready.
Beware, beware those who have tried to pull it down!
beware!
Its the tree of life,
it lives well on,
after you’re gone.
He said,
Come down here!

I said,
*When you're up there?
Some people never get the point,
From dragging down they evolve into pushing down, leading you astray, and thinking that it was for the best, maybe, maybe not, maybe you need a shrink.

If you venture out at night in the Louisiana swamp
You better be careful of where you do romp
Out in this swamp where the tree moss hangs thick
You better step lively you better step quick

You better beware
You better take care
I'm gonna tell you just what in there dwells

You can't trust your brother, you can't trust your friend
You can't trust your family, no not none of them
For in that swamp lies a mighty curse
It's not like a nightmare it's much, much worse

It's big, 10 feet tall
And hair covers it all
Part man part dog, wolf, and demon
If you see it, it'll start you to screaming
It's a curse laid on man
You'll never know who wears the brand

So don't go out in the silky black night
Your heart might not be able to take the fright
For it's name is the Lugaru
And it will be coming for you

Though as innocent as she looks,
                An evil deception she cooks.
Plotted events,
                she disguised as Destiny
Flaunts her perfect body,
But behind the curtains counts every calorie
A hint of arrogance,
                while saying "I'm just ordinary"
Compliments given
As a product of her calculating eyes
Thus your ego being fed with her lies

Her hidden smirk,
                 Behind her pretentious worries
Those men, they fell, to her made up stories...
Some girls though they look innocent...  They could hide something you wouldnt want to believe thay have.

take this peace not forgranted
lest we forget the pain of war
it should be known
the coming pain
is of war
for the world know it to be undeniably inevitable
do not apply to life
what others say is truth
beware the barrers of false gifts and their broken promises
much pain but still time, there is good out there

don't look me in the eyes
it's pretty scary in there,
it's where i keep everything
that's not considered
''acceptable''
all the hate
and all the love

and everything
i'm too scared to say
out loud

so beware
you might find things
that you
don't wanna see
i'm scared of so many things

My thoughts continue to flow on a roller coaster track. In my mind there is a feast of assumptions, of embitterment, of fear. I must not give in to your innocent enticement because now I am running out of words yet my crooked wishes are fighting a war against my new found cynicism.
You certainly are the dangerous kind.

I tried to put the pieces back together and it was never easy to sew back the buttons with an invisible thread. I have spent countless of hours, days and nights, burning bridges just to feel nothing and what have you done? If you are trying to destroy whatever  amount of peace of mind was left in me then you have won.
You certainly are the dangerous kind.

You chant those words like a song trapped in your head - impatiently and persistently trying to make a way out through an orchestral whip of your tongue. You pulled me in only to throw me out.
A kindness that is cruelty in disguise,
Your indifference comes in forms of smiles.
You certainly  are the dangerous kind.

What effect you as a writer can have on others.

Post a poem here
but only if you dare
they might give you a vote
they might give you a scare

Forum rules guides us there
give them your support, they declare
So while you're focused on your share
don't forget this forum to beware

Quick to write with that care
to avoid any excessive flair
ultimately finding words that pair
you think your poem is extraordinaire

With an open laptop lying next to your chair
eyes in the library begin giving you a stare
nevertheless, you seem to pay them no care
off to your posting like your very own prayer

Hardly finished but you can feel it in the air
somethings going on, something rare
fixated on that email button as your hand draws near
your fan club is calling, you've caught their ear

Once again you've been told, with a reader's tear
just what your poem meant to them, it's so very dear
finally arriving to this worthy conclusion alone to bare
what a world of difference have you made, moving others to Care.....
Please, Poets ONLY!
A short Poem reflecting a Poet's experience. I tried to captured "that moment" of what it's all about.

Shoulder blades collapse;
Burdens seemingly falter.
Let the hours beware.

Heed the liars.
Beware of secrets.
Heed the false ones.
Beware of illusions.
How can I discern what's right?
Should I run from the dark or surrender?
Perhaps there's hidden magic within?
Confrontation is necessary.
Yet, I'm scared of being burnt by the light.
I don't want to expose the scars.
I weigh the options for eons.
I'm at war with myself.
Struggling to find truth.
Drowning in a black and white sea.
Only I can save myself.
