Hurry up come quick and gather around, before I change my mind
To unfold the path of a tale unsung that belongs to the wizard kind.

Fetch your warmest sweaters or robes, and perhaps an extra cloak
For I heard that it is chilly inside, the enchanted timber wardrobe.

Behind the rags and hung up clothes, a luminous lamp post glows,
Turning the frosty floor beneath, into shiny velvet pillows.

One can only stare in awe, at the realm that looks serene
But not for long as soon enough, your journey will truly begin.

Be cautious and be wary of the ones you tumble upon,
Could it be a ******? or is it a fox? or a cozen witch paragon?

Pace your way through frozen rains until you reach the end,
Latch on to the red lion skin, do your damnedest to defend.

Myriad wonders of a world unknown, covered by wooden doors
Do you wish to leave or would you explore? The gamble is all yours.

Me
I walk inside seeing my blood flow through the winding paths
I see the many cells all working
together
I feel the warmth of my skin
I hear my heart its rhythmic beats
Its in hear I come to know
how it all works to keep me
here healthy & strong
Its a strange thing indeed
Its a beautiful work of art
Taking a walk into me
Was a adventure
I won' t soon forget

Seemed as if we were both reading the same book.
I knew one of us would outpace the other.
..Most likely it would be me.
I guess I am too eager to see what unfolds on the next few pages.

But for whatever reason, and with no warning, you put your book down.
The rest of the pages in my book become empty.
Flipping back and forth doesn't help.
As soon as the pages start to tear I realize I have to put mine down now.

This isn't the first story I've found where the words just disappear.
No happy ending.
No ending at all..
Just another unfinished adventure...
I met a girl once,
With eyes like pools of light,
And as I fell right into them,
Swallowed by the whites,
I saw the reflection
Of the world and sky,
Fragments of beauty,
That shimmered with life,
And when her tears fell,
They sparkled and curled
Etching on her face,
The story of the world,
Speaking softly of all
The places she’d been,
Painting with wonder
The things she’d seen,
She tracked the earth’s trails
And sailed its seven seas,
Swaying from place to place,
Like leaves in the breeze,
And though her feet were sore,
Her footsteps never failed,
Creasing in the earth,
A path that never paled,
And everywhere she went,
She left a piece behind,
Watering the landscape,
With the rain she had inside,
But all she gave,
Nature repaid fast ,
Inking on her body,
A story that would last,
And though she was alone,
Had no place to call her own,
She knew the world around her
well enough to call it home.

I always go back to what I know:
you'll never know unless you try.
So I bathe in the rain
That I only used to watch from the comfort of my home;
Have my body soaked
From the fresh water of the universe;
Walk as fast as I could
To cover the tracks I could
Before they get wash away.

But the rain could also be a storm:
Chasing me in places I don't want to be found;
So I took another step backwards
Instead of stepping out,
Didn't stick out my tongue
To taste the bitterness of the universe.
Bravery could only take me
To places I have considered mine
But even then
They only exist
When familiarity is on the line.

Goodbye to the oven that I learned to bake my first dish.
Goodbye to the old stairs leading up to the dark scary attic.
Goodybye to the shed that held my first and last bike.
Goodbye to the swing set that was used as a pirate ship.
Goodbye old house for I had many memories but it is time that I move on and adventure new places.

a thrill, always will be
how this happened, still enchanting to me
i'm at ease, i am vulnerable-
i am at home.
you're both comfort and adventure,
like Bogota to Rome.

I can't tell you how much you occupy my thoughts
so I'll put everything in writing.
you're the yin to my yang,
a lot of people won't get this, but darling you're my
wai ying.

so as I'm writing, trying to add more
please know that my heart is full.
I've nothing more to ask for, except for maybe getting
another lifetime with you.
you're a thrill, always will be
you have the whole of me,
my babu.
Hey guys! I haven't written in a while but this is something personal and dear to me. Anyways, hope everyone's safe and doing well amidst this pandemic!
Life is a grand adventure
And adventures come with tests
You won’t succeed with every try
You just need to do your best

With adventure comes perspective
And relationships - and skill
Yes, the things that really matter
When you act with power and will

Prosperity is character
When challenging times arrive
So brace up and hold steadfast
Act with confidence - and thrive

I like thinking about life as an adventure, rather than as a trial.  Recently we had a lot of great messages of hope from our church, which I could sum up as "Stay Strong, Keep Going".  So I put some of these into my own words, wrapped up in the heading of "Adventure".

How are you changing in these difficult times?  Read through this poem and embrace the adventure.

We've sailed cerulean seas to pastel shores,
Known only to the glorious few,
We have disembarked, ready to explore,
As our lone ship waits slumbering in view
of the glorious bay. Light paints daybreak
across the sky. We see the rising sun
through imagined jungle—and hesitate:
The image lingers, but it must be done,
Eyes close. Toward the interior we turn
remembering, and hoping to return.
