I'm chained to this system,
To these rules and regulations,
A constant spiral of the same sights,
Forced artificial happiness,
Recycled reinvented pleasures.

These comforts can only numb the aches,
Until dark skies and cold weather,
Expose my wounds to the wind.

Lack of materials, lack of all,
Keep me trapped in dizzy frustrations,
Fantasising new sensations and places,
Knowing the happy, coloured blurs will sharpen their lens,
And reveal their familiar, colourless forms.

Sitting on my fixed space of land,
Still rooting for the next month to win me over,
For the next week to triumph against the last,
I tug at my tired chains,
Hoping to God there's that there more than this.
First poem I've written, so be nice, but I enjoyed writing it so hopefully there will be more!

How many times we starved ourselves
dreaming something that we can’t have…

How many times we deprived ourselves
from wanting the life we wanted the most
just because we lack something or
having the practical mind that it is not for us…

Sometimes we starved ourselves to limit our flight.
Bound by rules, responsibilities, duties,
or even culture, tradition and religion…
Despite all that, we balance everything
for what’s right, what feels right
The Weighing of the Heart ---

loosely inspired by a poem of a dear friend of mine (Belle), somehow this is a reflection on my part.

inspired by her two poems namely: The Weighing of the Heart & Starvation.

probably I'll delete this later on, it hurts sometimes to reflect the moments I passed on and just starve myself on some aspects of my life. I don't regret it, its just that sometimes you can't help to wonder why i've done that, even though you know yourself the reason why...

due to all your support my friends, I decided to kept this here for awhile longer... thanks all for reading
Age-assumptions are allowed
where youth is concerned
because --
EVERYONE WANTS TO BE YOUNG.
But truthfully,
the gift is not in the youth itself,
but in the young people.
Just as with people of greater age,
young people have talents, strengths, and wisdom.
The difference lies in our perception that
youth have more time to realize their potential.
That they will, in time, become something great
-- and yet --
the challenge really should be for all,
that we grow past our labels
realize our potentials
and become who we're meant to be
TODAY.
As I grow, I've learned to understand the facts
What seems like love a first sight isn't always that.
Your first jump isn't going to always land
And not all goes according to plan.
Not all doors are the next chance of opportunity
But you keep looking above.
Your heart will get deceived 1000 times before it's satisfied with pure love
Lies will continue to follow
& goals will always leave you outta breath
Great decisions didn't come without a couple sips of regret
Growing up means you will lose a few people along the way
And what seems to be written in stone doesn't mean it'll last forever and is permanently set.
Change comes in to play a lot
And your worst will come before your best.
Never quit. Remain honest and real

Humans programmed to swim in a dry dam. working towards the future ; what they do not know about or even understand. they tell us who we're going to be while we don't even know ourselves.

We can't control time but we can manage it. we are a united nation departed by : the systems of this world

The real criminals are people in suits and ties , living on a given image. not those in tattoos.

If we did things in our own perception and not in a authority perception
The world would be a better place

We give ourselves a limited amount of freedom while we should live free all the time. even God wants us to be free but the world has become a place where people cage themselves in possessions
Possessions are only for a session
Then they perish

Wisdom is peace , wisdom is better than silver and Gold

Learn about self-worth and be free

i see beauty in the terrible &
i see perfect harmony in ugliness
shock pain destruction ruin,
the truth: the above is more whole and juicy between the teeth
than years of singing sparrows

& i see the perverted beauty in damage
- wreckage & shrapnel -
broken cracked stained objects
have their own crooked appeal

i lust for bruises, broken hearts, broken bones, addicted tongues
for the red eyes born of insomnia, sorrow, substance abuse
i want the literal & metaphorical dirt under your fingernails
there's a sick sweetness in awful secrets
but factory fresh is bland & tasteless

I hate the fact that I can come up with stories for people who never lived,
Or a poem about things that happened when I was a kid,
But I can't figure out how to remember the quadratic equation,
And nothing good comes out of my power of persuasion.

I have no idea what comes out of having a creative mind,
But not being able to do complicated math in record time.

I hate that I would rather spend hours coming up with a metaphor to describe the panic I feel,
Than learn things that are supposed to help me make enough money to pay for even one daily meal.

I spent more time trying to write this,
Than I ever would trying to understand functions and statistics.

But writing ****** poetry isn't going to help me,
When I don't even have the slightest idea what I want to be.
I am so **** scared for the future.
I woke up
thinking about that time
we stifled our movements
to keep from being heard
by your friend in the next room

The sun on your back,
I tried to wrap my fingers
around rays of light
and run them down your rib cage

Our lips hit like bolts of lightning
followed by thundering smiles
and streams of hot air

Your hands held me
as I wiped the hair
from your forehead
and laughed into your ear

As you try to peel your body
away from mine
I summon you back
with the taste of my tongue
until you have ingrained it
into your memory
and can remove yourself
without unanswered questions
