The Art Of War But Peace
Abunde Oct 2023
Outraged by indifference,
On the streets, neighbors once friendly Now stand in opposing lines. Propaganda posters cover the walls, Spreading fear and dividing minds. Ukraine or Russia, Isreal or Palestine. Capitalism or communism the greediness and division funding all wars

In countries once united and with the hope of, now torn apart.  Hopes and dreams dashed, shattered like glass.  The future once bright, now a dark unknown.  How can we navigate our way into a peaceful world

Blue and yellow flags, now stained with blood. A nation once united, now torn asunder.  The echoes of shelling, ringing in their ears.  The land of golden wheat, now a barren wasteland.

So the streets are filled with chaos and fear,  And the violence rages on without cease. Bombs and bullets tear through the night,  and civilians cower in their homes, bereft of peace. The loss of life and suffering is great, And the scars of war run deep and true. The conflict rages on without end,  And hope seems hard to hold onto.

A home, once a dream of safety. Now a battlefield, a place of terror. The faces of loved ones, now distant memories. hearts, once full of hope. Now shattered and broken.

Amidst the chaos and despair, we search for a light. The occurring wars, the reasons to unite, for a glimmer of hope is a reason to go on.  So they cling onto the small moments of joy,  like the laughter of a child, or a flower in bloom. In the darkest of times, they try to find strength in the small things.

Though the scars of war may run deep, the world can still heal. We can still choose love, choose forgiveness.  We can choose to build a better tomorrow, Where peace reigns and hope abounds.  May we never forget the lessons of war, and may we always strive for a brighter future.

May we learn to forgive those who have wronged us,  and work to heal the divisions in our society.  May we reach out to those in need,  and work to create a more just and equitable world.  May we never lose sight of the beauty of life, as we hold fast to the belief that a better tomorrow is for us
This was inspired by social media updates on the wars currently taking place in the countries Ukraine and Israel. The purpose of this poem is to shine a light on the current conflicts in the world, while also emphasizing the need for peace and hope. The poem aims to explore the human cost of war, as well as the possibilities for reconciliation and healing.

You 5
Abunde Oct 2021
The shine in your eyes
The warmth of your smile
Your beauty doth rise
And I quiver within

The touch never felt
The scent never smelt
The kindness on your glimmer
The strength in your stare

The kiss I fantasize
Your body so distant
The texts so priceless
That feeling inside

The sound of your voice
The love in your words
The serenity in your stride
Compassion in your embrace

Your calming presence
The melody of you beating heart
The promise of tomorrow
So we chase forever

The magic in your being
All the beauty within
Should you die with me
I'll burry you inside
Show then love of you love them

Colorblind
Abunde Jul 2021
The sugared scent of your skin is in full bloom
Your natural fragrance never seems to fade
I can't overpower your absence in this room
The ghost of your shadow haunts me
But still, I'd give up forever to see the moment of truth in your eyes

I don't want the world to see me without you, for you are the one who fills my life with colour and without you I'm colorblind.

Be

Be
Once upon a time, there was a little me
A courageous little dude that caught a bee
It buzzed, and buzzed in the jar
It buzzed and buzzed till it fell onto the floor
The jar broke and it flew right out the door
I tried to catch but it was too fast
I chased it on my bicycle till my tire burst
Watched it fly higher than a kite
It flew far out of sight
I couldn't catch the bee
And again it was just lonely me
She is the bee and I the catcher, hoping to be, I let go just to hold on

Lost, I wasn't looking for you
In the dark, I search for you blind
Looking for love, I found your appeal
Beautifully broken and vulnerable
Lonely and seeking, only to be loved

Flower dancing in the deep
Abunde May 2021
Like a white rose planted in the deep end of the ocean,
in the dark, gracefully swirling the breeze;
a soft dance to the melody of sentiments, withering not but glowing beautifully asunder
Rooted beneath waters deep, moist beach sands below sea levels and under
I want her so badly

Blue
Abunde Feb 2021
One star from the innumerable has fallen
But I will not let it die
The beauty and the memory shall not depart
In mine heart will it dine
The seed has fallen from the sky
And my tears have watered the ground in which it will root
The soil is fertile now
And everything you have planted in me will surely grow
To the fallen, it will be fruitful for the sky is always blue

You shaped my world with hands of stone then told me my heart is cold,
you made planets out of me when you only desired space,
my galaxy is without stars now for you took away all my sparks
but then I still shine with beautiful array because I'm the sun and you couldn’t put me out,
Why do you always write about  love she wrote, but it's you I always write about

What do I title this?
Abunde Jan 2021
Read the stories in my scars
I write love poems for the dead
Ink spills on the skin of my griefs
Pain written on African flesh turns to red
On black pages they read, wounded melanin forever bleeds
Not because of a dark past, but of present doom
Torn through the years, my tears on sand in empty beaches fall
Like rain on a sunny day, the storm breaks down my walls
Threatening my sanity

A ballad of 1000 tears
Abunde Dec 2020
Pure and salty from my eyes
The fountain of wasted youth runs dry
After a thousand tears I cried
For I could not see where my true beauty resides
My life drained into a tear filled bowl
As my self worth burried under all the rejection
I sunk into the ocean of self hate
Chasing love as a remedy
I found myself in the deep end of my pain
Tripping over yesterday's memory
Love yourself or you will need someone to do it for you, self-love begins with acceptance and contentment.

Pain is necessary
Abunde Dec 2020
Me: what's your favorite color I asked
Her: red, because I've only seen your eyes after crying
Me: what's your favorite book
Her: my diary, because it only reads what we've been through
Me: what's your favorite number
Her: 3, one because me, 2 because you and 3 because us
Me: what's your favorite lie
Her: forever is, and why are you asking a million questions.. I thought this was date and not an interview
Me: sorry I'm just trying to know you better
Her: then ask me deeper questions
Me: what is your name
Her: (laughs)
Me: I tried
Her: now let me try
Me: shoot
Her: why is your every poem about love
Me: because you don't understand the words, my heart lies in the ink
Her: what do you mean
Me: it's not love I write about, but you

Abunde Dec 2020
Blue I thought was the color of your eyes
But then I saw you crying
Red is not the color of your love
I don't know why you're still bleeding
Black is the color of my blind fold
Open my eyes so I can see your scars
You've covered them all in make-up
But it's your soul that needs fixing
Beautiful and broken, it's me you're mistreating

Indisposed
Abunde Dec 2020
Inside the memories of a you I never loved
I wandered seeking to be found,
In your lost kingdom crying out
My last tears never found
How can I cry when you don't even bleed
Groveling at your feet, in your broken castle
Blinded to all the damage around, I worshiped the ground  you walked
Followed your every footstep into a different kind of blue
Captain to your sinking ship, I waited for the waves to carry me
And when the current rose, I was washed to a different shore
A land nourished by the many tears you've shed
A ghostly horizon I was Indisposed to stay in
As if from birth I was knotted to suffer from
The pain of your beautiful rejection
Befriend me please and help me improve my poetry

Finding m3
Abunde Dec 2020
The demons I've been fighting have gained  strength
Help me save me before I perish
No amount of light can take me out of the dark
So shine your heart and let me see the love
I've been searching under the blindfold
Finding nothing within
I'm revolving around the emptiness in me
Hoping to find something I should be
Help me fix myself
I'm running away from what I am
Help me save myself
The reflections I see, they haunt me
A lot has changed, that I have not evolve with
Searching in vain, something is cutting me apart
Brother or sister, mother and father
The tears I'm responsible for
Couldn't quench the wildfires burning me
Before I become ashes
Forgive me my every spark and everything the storm destroyed
Do not watch me fade, I'm learning to be strong
The air is covered in smoke, but I'm breathing through toxic skies
My spirit leaves my body, I'm defeated by my flesh
I can't control myself, I cannot find whatever I lost
Back to my soul, I just want to find myself
Taken and gone

Crestfallen
Abunde Nov 2020
Lonely shores, my seas are divided
Salt less ocean, waters departed
Unheard voices, words not spoken
Piercing silence, glued on my lips
Perceptions of love, left me broken
Muted lines, see what it is
Open up my mouth, I'm desperate for sound
Gnashing teeth, I can't be muted for long
My words they fall, but never hit the ground
The damage is done, now I'm writing songs
Crestfallen, poetry has failed me
Toxic words, these lines couldn't heal me

I & poetry
Abunde Oct 2020
I write poetry just to feel free
I heart poetry just to exposed the hidden colors to my personality
I sit on trees to see life from a different height so I can write about reality
A deluded perspective not seen from ordinary lenses but words that the illiterate will tease
A hidden beauty exposed in rhymes, a sweet nectar unlike bees
Meaning less words that seem deep, words of love blown by the breeze
Into the heart of the reader, a beauty not found in the beholder
But lies that only seem true to the writer
Untrue tales sweetly composed and blended together
Adding emotion to what truly does not matter
Only words not a poem

Wasted energy
Abunde Oct 2020
We are born on our own
And we die but not our souls
We meet new people and old fouls
Wasting energy on every thing that makes our hearts boil
The art of peer pressure giving us every reason to dream
But the infertility of youth is the death of us
Chasing new inspiration from old ideas
And following lost role models just to find a purpose
Wasted energy..
Infertile is the land we work and gloomy are the roses that sprout
Too many times we get lost trying to find ourselves.
Then get depressed over fans and followers
Because we seek to imitate more than we desire to dream
Why do you try so hard to be different, why don't you try to be yourself....? Why do you have so many role models you privately admire as your idols, but still convince you to love yourself...? Who are you really and are your dreams real or just a subconscious illusion you've made your reality...?

Come
Abunde Oct 2020
Come forth hither, love is waiting on the ocean shore for you to come explore unknown depths

Come forth hither before I dive in all alone, you will swerve the ocean waves with no moon and hope to find me somewhere soon

Come forth hither before the soft love turns to pain and my heart is hardened by the cruelty of your rejection

Come forth hither, the ocean is not a good place to bleed, sharks will devour me before I am killed by love

Come before my eyes run dry, before all my tears turn the ocean salt less
Come..
To my unknown lover who is responsible for all the love pimples on my face,, come

You
Trying not to remind myself
But my heart is on your magnet
I cannot navigate my thoughts
I'm lost inside you
I cannot see why, I can't find myself without you
I am growing old in this feeling, but I never grow up
I need to let go, but I'm so glued to you
How do I love, if I have forgotten what it feels like
I have burned down all my bridges
now I'm stuck on you
This is a distraction but I'm so loving you
Didn't know what I was missing
Until I finally met you
To my potential new lover

A weeping soul bleed tears
Abunde Oct 2018
Like the ghosts that host by night
To sanctify that which by far ends
Is the change of darkness to ghostly grey
No voice in nature is heard to cry out loud
As the moon begins to close its fading eye
Or to shine too far beyond its shadows edge
Let the night be dark for all that weep the light
As the soul and body bleeds from all the scars
And the reason for tears drop from the stars
As the sky drips tears of rain water like pain
To show its worldly nature and begin
The ancient ritual for man and beats sake
Pain and happiness is what we make it,, fake
As thoughts in darkness and tears ulter our fate
Wipe your eyes stop crying truth is everything is what you make it stop lying architect your happiness put your pain behind you let it push you forward for greater heights ~love

Between the sun and moon
Abunde Oct 2018
Between the sun and moon and far beyond the eyes edge lies a place with no time nor space where everything is peaceful no hours to race and life moves at a steady pace

The birds here sing songs of love that echo from heart to heart a softness that calms the soul and leaves it with no ghoul as beautiful as a dream a beauty that clouds the sea

The skies are rainbow painted alluring everyone to dream in colour the rains are soft and silence dropping on skin to chin like sunflower ointments the wind as free as a cageless bird

The roads are made of gold the streams flow with rivers of living water the rocks as if precious stones the gardens bloom ever green admist a dream with no exist door

A place I once belonged to as king before I over ruled my throne setting ablaze this paradise watching it fade with the smoke then cry for its comfort its warmth it's love once again

My time as king rose and set like the sun lost in darkness I found myself in the shadows of the moon crying for the same heaven I turned to hell this place a girl's heart I broke
Roses red till they die flowers burn hell is pink the breeze came and blew my mind she was sweet she was kind

The night that haunts
Abunde Oct 2018
I remember the night you made me stay away from home you kept me in warm inside your heart my perfect home held captive by the bittersweetness of words distilled within me speaking of a life long of treasures your diamond eyes and golden plated heart my silence spoke and left me contemplated deep within my sight your body boils my blood it fumes a lover's passion on my skin and drives my desire of pleasure how could the silence be so loud churning like a war cry it illuminated the room so much that only it was heard my eyes fixed to the perfect artillery within reach but out of touch my mind dancing to the music of sensation what do I do oh little boy afraid to claim his trophy the hour of the night passed him by curling like series of memory the night passes by crossing on his bedroom wall oblivious to his actions he prays the night comes again to fix his best mistake and biggest regret
The silence
The sensation of a lovers passion passed by like the wind the memory of it haunts like a madman trying to catch the air I pray for the night to come back so I could do what I should have done there
