In nineteen hundred forty-nine
China was won by Mao Tse-tung
Chiang Kai-shek's army ran away
They were waiting there in Thailand yesterday
Supported by the CIA
Pushing junk down Thailand way
First they stole from the Meo Tribes
Up in the hills they started taking bribes
Then they sent their soldiers up to Shan
Collecting ***** to send to The Man
Pushing junk in Bangkok yesterday
Supported by the CIA
Brought their jam on mule trains down
To Chiang Rai that's a railroad town
Sold it next to the police chief brain
He took it to town on the choochoo train
Trafficking dope to Bangkok all day
Supported by the CIA
The policeman's name was Mr. Phao
He peddled dope grand scale and how
Chief of border customs paid
By Central Intelligence's U.S. A.I.D.
The whole operation, Newspapers say
Supported by the CIA
He got so sloppy & peddled so loose
He busted himself & cooked his own goose
Took the reward for an ***** load
Seizing his own haul which same he resold
Big time pusher for a decade turned grey
Working for the CIA
Touby Lyfong he worked for the French
A big fat man liked to dine & *****
Prince of the Meos he grew black mud
Till ***** flowed through the land like a flood
Communists came and chased the French away
So Touby took a job with the CIA
The whole operation fell in to chaos
Till U.S. Intelligence came into Laos
I'll tell you no lie I'm a true American
Our big pusher there was Phoumi Nosovan
All them Princes in a power play
But Phoumi was the man for the CIA
And his best friend General Vang Pao
Ran the Meo army like a sacred cow
Helicopter smugglers filled Long Cheng's bars
In Xieng Quang province on the Plain of Jars
It started in secret they were fighting yesterday
Clandestine secret army of the CIA
All through the Sixties the Dope flew free
Thru Tan Son Nhut Saigon to Marshal Ky
Air America followed through
Transporting confiture for President Thieu
All these Dealers were decades and yesterday
The Indochinese mob of the U.S. CIA
Operation Haylift Offisir Wm. Colby
Saw Marshal Ky fly ***** Mr. Mustard told me
Indochina desk he was Chief of ***** Tricks
"Hitchhiking" with dope pushers was how he got his fix
Subsidizing traffickers to drive the Reds away
Till Colby was the head of the CIA

Ash to mouth
divide north and south
east and west,
shout with class of Scout
let it out with griffin clout
we here we out , hear me out
— rhymes in time without
silent shrines to mime
cleared the crowd
covered eyes and mouth
over body desert shroud
if vengeance is your business
then from swords to plow
en lakesh
an eye for an eye binds
the all to be blind
but you can’t unsee the signs
no thoughts unclouded by loss
out the window I toss
mosaic fragments that cost
health and awesome sauce
Nazareth gutted commandments
by anarchy spelled
disaster after culture
massive ego it swell
up the road ahead a pit depress the juncture
so we spit the dirt divide just to touch the other
from pup to wolf so many bites, a pitted puncture
so much disfunct the fight till all be winded lungs sir
you can run
but from
gamma ray
you no hide
passed a black hole
wand inside
a body died
but it’s alright
(it’s heaven sight
till Zombie night )
animate dead necromantic black ring
the rhythm of life and death a chronic swing
the pendulum blade cross over cosmic skin
consciousness draw out from within
traced the win which wound round tat to skeleton
a dusty tome bound and crafted man
medicine subtracted by the head that spin
in the sky and its happening, blessen-ings
the miracle is mystery u cant guess it
talking 3 eye see
talking vip
climb high as canopy
walking so
my shadow lands under me.
ten toes touch to the dusty roads
when toads appear throats close
mighta had the Midas touch
still the golden one
was too much to flush
you might live in Laos
you my livid crowd
you might live it now
neva hit my limit how
cause you live in now
when you wake up proud
timid mind plowed
divid-dine fill the cloud
insta crowd wowed
this I vowed

Bagamat ako'y bulag
Sa mundong puno ng sawing imahinasyon,
Patuloy Kitang titingalain.
Ihahagis ko sa Langit ang mga kamay
At bahagyang tatakpan ang paningin
Nang masilayan ang iyong kariktan.
Nakasisilaw ang Iyong Liwanag,
Sabayan pa ng nagbagong-bihis na liriko
Ng mapang-akit na sansinukob.
Bagkus, ako'y mananatiling walang kibo
Kahit nahihingal pati ang puso
Sa paghihintay Sa'yo.
Muli akong aalukin
Ng mala-piyestang pangarap,
Siyang babandila sa espasyong
Puno ng takot sa kinabukasan.
Ang mga banderitas sa Kalye,
Walang sawang tumatakip sa Iyong katanyagan.
Ngunit hindi Ka kumukupas,
Di gaya ng laos na musikang
Hindi na tipo ng makabagong henerasyon.
Hinuha ko ang lente
**Makuha lamang ang matatamis **** ngiti**.
At sa bawat eksena'y hindi ako pakukurap
Sa mga alikabok na namumuwing,
Silang nililok para ako'y patirin.
Naglantad ang klimsa
Ng kakaiba nitong anyo.
Kaya't sumanib ang sining
Na tila iba ang maestro.
Puso ko'y kinatok
Pagkat ito'y tumitirapa
Sa bawat lasong kumikislap,
Siyang sinasaboy
Ng mahiwagang mga kamay.
Ako'y nagpahele sa Iyong misteryo
Hanggang sa naging kalmado
Buhat sa **likas **** pag-irog**.
Bumungad sa akin
Ang Liwanag na gaya ng dati.
Nakasisilaw, bagkus suot ko na ang pananggalang
Masilayan ka lamang
Kahit saglit lamang.

Bumungad at inihaing may lista
Ngayon pala'y may salamin sa harap
Malayo ang hugis at ang porma
Hindi ko na binalingan ng pansin
Ngayo'y laos na ang bawat eksena.

<i>If your wife is murdered and the killer is never caught
If your son is killed by a drunk driver who swerved his direction
We always hear the word “closure” used in many situations
It’s like putting a band-aid on a wound needing stitches
It can’t bring a deceased spirit back to life
It can’t find the man who murdered your wife
It may bring some temporary relief from your grief
But the word closure is never quite complete
Search parties scour the ocean
For that missing plane near Laos
Radar say’s it went down over there
But no-one can really say where
It’s at the bottom of the sea
To deep for the eyes to see
In reality it’s a watery tomb
It may never be found and all that we hear
Is that word closure mentioned …oh dear
The relatives are seen crying in disbelief
Like it’s a bad dream and there’s no relief
That closure word is so meaningless it’s almost comical
I for one refuse to use it or mention it to family
When I hear it at a funeral I just try to ignore it
It’s easy for me to make that statement
When I am the one doing the talking
While another poor soul receives the bad news
That word closure is giving me the “blues”

*Yellow people were everywhere....
their eyes were thin and their bodies were scrawny
A ********** strolled by me....
she promised me a good time
$200 for 1 hour
and $400 for 2
Oral costed extra....
A man was eating octopus
next to him, another man was eating a dog
he claimed it taste like chicken...
gravel kissed my feet,
and a M14 cuddle with my hands
a pack of Skittles snuggled in my pocket
some cigarettes and canteen full of whiskey
also accompanied me....
I smashed the leaves with black boots
and camouflage married the trees
A body stared at me
a star shaped hole through his head
two kids burned to ash,
and a wife with her throat slit laid next to him
No tears were shed.....
A Vietcong with his arms shot off
he coughed up blood...
he whispered, but the whisper was inaudible
I put a bullet through his chest...
No tears were shed....
a good friend of mine...
stepped on a landmine
his body went every which way
a arm went left
a torso went right
and his head went backwards...
No tears were shed....
My unit entered a abandoned building
they saw a young girl.... her clothes were ripped,
her screams echoed, five men took turns with her...
my M14, loaded, five bullets, silence
and a pool of blood.....
no tears were shed...*

- up country Laos, 1972
I won't do it, I said. I won't.
It's a direct order, he said.
We stood a few yards apart,
in front of the blasted wire
where the screaming
enemy wounded
were caught like stuck flies.
It had been a long night
of attack and repulse;
the howling wounded
were all that remained.
He was maybe thirty,
an Ivy League ***** wannabe;
I was just a battle weary broken
20-year-old with no silver spoon.
You will get your *** out there
and tap those moaning *****
and you will do it now, another order.
I said, I'm a medic, not a murderer.
They are prisoners. There are lines,
even here. I will not cross this one.
**** lines. What you are, he said, is a *****
In his hand, a lethal black 9mm Beretta;
in mine a 1911 model Colt 45 automatic.
Both loaded. Both ready to speak. Both angry.
Both anxious. Both with something to say.
You aren't my CO. You're not even an officer.
I refuse, I said. **** you and the Company.
My hand tensed on the 45. The Beretta quivered.
We looked at each other, working out the odds,
Death, for one of us, seemed only a few seconds away.
But he hesitated, lowered his weapon.
It's ******* like you who lost this war, he said.
And it's mad men like you who started it, I replied.
He turned and walked out to tap the wounded,
one by one, ****** after ******
Delighting in revenge.
I walked back to the chopper, gun in hand,
and nodded to the pilot. We flew away,
at first to more war, but then back to the world,
the world that could never, ever be the same.

She waited impatiently for dawn to break.
Darkness had swallowed up her small house.
Her golden locks wound tight like a snake.
Her longing heart throbbed with ache.
The hearth’s warmth beckoned a mouse.
She waited impatiently for dawn to break.
Chimney smoke hung over the frozen lake.
Clenched tight with fists her flowery blouse.
Her golden locks wound tight like a snake.
Thoughts of mourning she tried to shake.
Overflowing to the floor her *** of scouse.
She waited impatiently for dawn to break.
She couldn’t join the rest with a smile so fake.
Her soldier was somewhere from here to Laos.
Her golden locks wound tight like a snake.
His absence pierced her heart like a stake.
Driven to the bottle like a louse.
She waited impatiently for dawn to break.
Her golden locks wound tight like a snake.

Once on a miserably
hot, humid day
cruising above
a silent jungle,
I watched
a twenty-two year old
Cobra pilot
clear his machine guns
on an ancient,
abandoned,
Buddhist temple.
All the hubris
of western civilization
explicated
in one burst.
Homer, who best
knew the hearts
of men at war,
could not
have sung it better.

lucid thoughts/
I'm a pilgrim in my paracosm/
Morning tea, sat down, Cafe Terrace at Night to my left
and to my right
the hazy lamp that has a shade textured like
a gas planet
May is 'round the starry bend/
Cherry trees are more comfortable now I think
and that's fine/
Met a gypsy on the bus two nights ago
she wished me a happy life
I hope so
... and likewise to you/

sometimes the
stars seem to clink
like glass and then fall
out of place and drop and drop
until maybe I guess they land in some
farmers field in Armenia or Laos and then
perhaps a young boy will go out to play and find
a feat that will take away his boyish charm
but oh those boyish fantasies will
soar

SEALs 1962
Laos was a hot spot
Army,
Marine Corps, and
Navy Amphibious Scout and Raider
school was established
in 1942 at Fort Pierce, Florida.[12]
Such esprit de we, the fewer still,
we, the braver still, we the never free…
Here, none hearing me, none believing
we survived,
this is 2025, we are past all statutes
limiting idle word accountibility, today
as if all before is over, and this is after,
ever before remains to prove, here now,
on any given day,
all hell breaks loose, you listen, not long,
reply, it's okay, that happens generally,
we don't know it all, but generally,
this is life, the good sometimes win,
sometimes lose, last time, everybody dies.

~Vietnam/ Laos 1972
Known variously as:
Indian Country,
the ****
the Jungle
& the Zone.
****** stumps,
flying metal,
charred flesh,
screaming agony,
cellular fear,
burning choppers,
dying men,
dead eyes
staring,
betrayal.
“Don’t mean ******* nothing.”
Not a place
on a map,
but a state of mind
-
my mind.
Vietnam has fallen,
but the Zone
remains
a jungle
in my head
& some things
return me there.
There I learned
the necessary.
In the Zone,
only predator and prey,
**** or be killed,
win or die,
the quick and the dead.
In the Zone
only survival matters
-
no morality,
no right or wrong
no lies,
no truths,
no fair,
no unfair.
No rules at all.
"It's **only a ****
**** it."
In the Zone
everything is allowed…
meet the enemy,
destroy him,
maim him,
outsmart him,
walk away
with the blood of others
squishing in your boots
feeling gloriously alive.
Friend,
brother,
enemy,
child,
lover,
you do not
- ever -
want to meet me
in the Zone.

Take me to the xylographs of Tunis
Where silken shades of colour
Dissolve and reassemble
Take me to the white veils of sand
Along with Elysia
To the oils of Giverny scented with
Climbing roses
( I want to touch them with my fingers)
Take me to the orange rows of Laos and
-further away- let me
Into the magic Australian Outback
( I want to count how many dots exploding
The picturesque of Aboriginals)
Take me to Berlin before the curtain on
The Night
To the peripheries of the world
( I want to look in the eye the eyes kept prisoner by Time)
Then let me into the remote echo of the invisible squares

I know, i know you may have forgotten all about us, but we are here hidden in the darkness waiting patiently til its our time to strike and bring true Laos and madness upon this world. We are the most dangerous and statistic people you will ever meet in your life. Our names is wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony. So beware cause we are here to stay and enjoy our selves. I know you may be afraid to fall into our control, but I do know we all do sin some way so don't fight it just give in to it and it all will be better for you and me. There is no way to get away from us we are an united force that shall cast this world into madness once and for all we are the seven deadly sins.

Now as we sit, sip while smoke swisher sweets
Let me take you back in time
When I met my cherry plum with private benefit privileges
My college chick, cute Laos, do anything for me
Everyday we stay on campus, she made a house key for me
Drive me home after school to work, very supportive to me
Gave cash, ran my bath, clean clothes, a lot of love to me
Even tell her folks she at her girlfriend’s, when she staying with me
Jealous when another lady around, highly clingy under me
She a cutie, very ambitious, trying to be my “Mrs.”
Cooking bacon & eggs Saturday morning in my kitchen
Not to say I wouldn’t claim her as “Mrs.”, she deserve a chance
Her love for me is above me now, that’s out of my hands
Just saying

I took the girl I had known for never to the formal affair,
And she told me she was from Laos,
And hadn't had sushi in over a year,
And said her father was a diplomat,
And she spoke great English,
And said she lived in Canada when she was a child,
All I could say was,
"I hope I'm as interesting as you someday."
She smiled, laughed, and said,
"Your time is up."
As she was leaving all I could think was,
"That escort sure had an elaborate backstory."

Roses are red, violets are blue, I know this is cliche but i... don't think this will be short enough to make a haiku.
Then there's the colours, forms of grey. On the tips of our tongues, that we are afraid to... reluctantly, but defiantly play.
We stir in the night, our minds still rouse. Ideas and thoughts keeping us away from a true... love that is as the beaches of Laos, though hear me through.
Enjoy the moment, that every second you see. This last part gets tricky but it's for you... <insert name that ends in EEEE >

There stands our Novel Chamberlain
Xenophobic uber-prat with top dog pretensions
a weak chine coward showing profile unrefined
goggles dark, black shirted.shameless bully craves attentions
parody of a man mired in semblance exuding puerile ignorance fine
insipid pale republican Tonton Macoute compensating his limitations
There stands our novel Chamberlain
a oaf with mildew loaf, the ubiquitous Brown shirt warrior
he's here, there pontificating absurd prose worthy of disdain
cringing vocabulary, warped voyeuristic styles, he straddles Parlio
emitting odious **** of a mentally deranged finding shelter in de rain
basking in mock praises from acolytes and accounts in his alter-egos
There stands our Nonentity Chamberlain
the charlatan of all poetic sides and raconteur un- magnifique
he's eaten in Laos, slept i Siberia, climbed the Laurent and lion slain
been all over the world, bedded women from China to Mozambique
he is a trialist, finalist, racialist, specialist, a fantasist, all but not plain
as he sits in ***** drawers in a dingy room masking his life oblique
There stands our 'no-mark' Chamberlain
dark shades and black T-shirt a poser fantasizing he is a G-man
look behind the facade and see the under-endowed troll insane
a coward, a nasty, witless, brain addled yob and **** fresh in a can
show me the confident wholesome being who does like this knave
a fake con artist, buffoon, with the pretentious guise so much in frame
