Lingering at a window
Keeps the world at bay
No more
Than a miniature globe on a downward *****
Close the window
Slip away
Open, Close

Owl asking his endless question
Outside my childhood window
Between he and I, an oval
A Tot Finder sticker
I had nightmares it
Would be put to use

Moonlight striking the countryside
Gave a light glow as if the sun
Were on a dimmer switch
Slight shadows of trees
Lay gently on the lawn
Stars tried hard to be noticed
I have vivid memories of my youth.and my surroundings ... I love my room and the view out over our backyard on the edge of town.

Her red lips like the roses of a cracking stained glass window
When she leaned in to whisper her secret
The words falling from them like demons through a gate
Into a crumbling church

Into my ear

I had sat in those pews
With zealous eyes and thoughts upon those lip-red roses
But one by one her demons came like whispers
And cracked the red stained window like a breaking heart

All along
I’ve been looking through
The stained, the pure
The meaning of clear

With a surreal light
Which bends the prism
And frees me from physical
Prison cell

And all along I’ve been looking through
The edge of iron and steel
The wood, the window
The highest ideal

My window

this is a darling,
to a note for self.

this marching against reflections,
might echo through the windows.

As she sat upon her windowsill she watched the cars roll by and the nervous man linger along the grass just beyond the sidewalks end. She had hoped that one day she would work up the courageous to be someone in a busy city with dreams and deadlines to be met. She hoped that she wouldn’t be who she was becoming for she returned to darkness at night with nothing but an unfinished book and withering flowers to welcome her home. She would sit upon the windowsill to make sense of the man who paced the streets at night and the cars who rushed by in a hurry to be somewhere. She wanted to be a newly planted flower in a field full of seeds. She wanted to have a purpose other than sitting upon that windowsill. She told herself she would but she wished someone would tell her that she could

I found a window.
It spoke to me in such an odd way
"Look through me, and your soul will be set free."
So I looked with my eyes, and all I saw was pane.
A pun?

With armchair oceans
Window territories
And cavernous vaults beneath wooden beach
Oak and timber, rock and stone
Stretched out in the cold of winter contained
Find a new home for your quiet feet
And in months, when spring born summer ends
Fall back into the ease of a rustling sleep
With the choice to never begin
Beneath a canvas of life
Which keeps growing and falling
Ever onward and over again
Yup

I looked out a window once and saw a good friend and waved.
They didn't wave back.
I kept waving.
They still didn't respond.
I got sad and disheartened.
But little did I know.
That was a one-sided window.
I just feel really bad and not accepted because of my sexuality and many people at my school are homophobic... Anyways have a nice day or night!
