you look at that ******* there
looking him you got scared
yeah he's been following you
however fast you walk he still continue

I saw him glaring (at you)
and marched towards you snarling
that's enough I drove my bike on him
the scene created was really grim

the police came and arrested me
I was looking for an escape if any
the person whom I hurt was influencing
his father a great lawyer was debating

I had lost all my hope
you entered court out of scope
the Jury after hearing your statement
declared me to be innocent!

we left the court behind
left the world that was blind
but a group of people followed us
this all created a whole ruckus

we reached for the nearby taxi
but there was no vacancy
they followed us all over
through silent street I hold you closer

I whispered into your ear
"I LOVE YOU." though we're in fear
you pulled me down and planted kiss,
I was on cloud nine, of course on my lips

the stout little ******* approached near
our hands tightly clasp we're dead fear
the first attack he made was on your wrist
I stormed into fight with that little beast

the other members followed behind
with sharp knife hiding at their hind
the strongest man hold me by my shoulder
the little stout punched me being bolder

you came to my rescue
they stab the knife in you!
they left you there to die
tied me to a pole, left me to cry!!

I will be back I promise
won't leave them who did all this...

To be continued...
A love story
With a revenge

I can't stand the way you
Straighten your shoulders and
Look down on the world from
Your invisable throne.
You've spent so much time
Looking down your nose that
You haven't realized that
You have no crown nor castle.
There is no kingdom,
Nor are there gold or gems.
You're living in a fairy tale of your own
Creation.

Shadows dance on the moonbeams,
and you can hear the screams of the souls on the old ghost road
The wild wind blows, unearthing the bones under stones in the old ghost road
The Lantern's light flickers on, still alive, never lost
Guides my way down the old ghost road
Traveling alone, riding out the cold as I brave the old ghost road

And when the moon shines like it does tonight
I love to watch them dancing
They say the departed can see you in the moonlight
And they seem to smile at me

Finding my way home
I know where I must go
Across the lands of death and snow
In the dark of the night,
By the light of the moon,
I journey on
Down the old ghost road

Lovers, warriors, troubadours, their spirits wander with me in the dust and silver mist
The stars, like purest diamonds, glistening above us, Astral sea of phantasmal bliss
The Moon, a shining goddess, blessing all the earth, her rays a tender kiss of sight
Behold!
Somehow the whole wide world is so beautiful
At the ruins of the old ghost road
Once upon a time

There was an old king

Who used to worry

About one thing

'Surely one day

I will pass away!'

As many me advise

Among my sons

The wise

An  heir

Must take over

To govern

My subjects better.

Next to God,

To corporeal things

Who is above,

I want to check

The strength of

My sons' filial love.

Thus his sons he called

To “How much

do you love me? ”  respond.

Answered the elder

“I love you like honey

That has no parallels any!”

He won the warm laughter

Of his father.

“I love you like sugar

Could honey be any better?”

Answered the second

Thus a corner

He succeeded to cut

In his father's heart.

“I love you like a salt,

For there is no fault

As missing this ingredient

In any dish

We want to relish!”

Said the youngest

Proving the wisest.

“Come over here

Take over my throne

You are a king born!”

Replied the king

Feeling

From his heart

The lifting

Up of something!
The best tale I heard while a kid
Bill Higham Mar 2016
From the drops of the sun
They made a sphere,
Some imaginary golden globe
Just right for two,
And lay inside the confines
Of its pleasured fields.

All day as if in Eden
All night each other's arms,
Where undisrupted by the ruins of time,
They, vagabonds,
Walked the opened roads of love.

Wealthy with all the world there in their hands
They afforded extravagant prizes upon themselves,
A king and queen
Residing in palaces whose gilded towers
Assaulted the serenity of arching skies.

Time - ah but time - deceived them,
Ticked itself into a thunder
Turned upon their hearts,
Time rambled like a madness inside them.

To and fro along the castle walls,
Unbearably restless, wrapped in herself,
In the thick red knots, the desired desires,
Springtime brought forth blossoming.

So she tore at the seams to get her freedom's worth
Of pleasures picked up in the streets around,
While he sacrificed his agonies, in pubs, on ******,
To the bank and crawl of the surging traffic
Down busy streets, in vagrant alleys
After all night drunks,
He scratched at the diamonds of forgetfulness
In concrete walls.

And she burnt down the bridges which led to her heart
And the great feast lay lonely then,
And the distant road, led by distracted emotions on,
Ran past the door, and the windows stood
Larger than the world,
And the sunlight was conquered
By darkness.
Once I loved a pretty girl
But she don’t live round here no more
Ventured out into the world
To keep her pride and settle scores

I remember brighter days
Full of song and open seas
Then mid-September’s chill gave way
We can’t refuse our destiny

Seasons changed – feelings, too
Suddenly she’s out of touch
Portraits of our dream won’t do
Now as I paint, I lick the brush

After hours at the bar
Chewing fat and catching eyes
Often wonder where you are
Or if that’s you dressed in disguise

Once I loved another girl
But not the same one as before
Like a clam without a pearl
She was a shell without a core

I tried to help; I gave her love
Favors, ***, and cash to burn
Everything I could think of!
And asked for nothing in return

Then I fell into a hole –
Funny how these things turn out –
In need of but a gentle soul
To lift me up above the clouds

But when I asked for her to care
To show the warmth of open arms
She offered nothing but a stare
And only time could break her guard

Once I healed a broken heart
Brought about by foolish charm
Gave it my all right from the start
Unraveled like a ball of yarn

Days went by and turned to months
Drawing close to my twine’s end
So I sought out familiar fronts
To seek the love of kin & friends

My heart grew warm and full of joy
I leaped with faith and did good deeds
My shaded past would not destroy
The man that only I could be

The months grew closer to next year
As one by one I placed the stones
That built the path to facing fear
And taking on the world alone

Once I triumphed over evil
Choked the devil til he died
Oh, he’ll be back, there’s no doubt he will
But never more shall steal my pride

Once I learned that Love is Evil
Now she’s back to claim her prize
But I won’t let my heart be refilled
Without the whole piece of the pie

Let's look at this tale of Robin Hood,
He was far away, being way too good,
Rob the rich, give to the poor,
Maid Marian left open her door,
She was feeling way too generous,
Got it on with Little John, no fuss,
Far away was Robin Hood,
Really, he was much too good,
Then in came Friar Tuck,
In with Maid Marian he snuck,
Then they both got it on,
With hyperactive Little John,
Yes, Maid Marian was benevolent,
Indeed, they all knew what that meant,
Thus, this twisted tale of Robin Hood,
John, Tuck, no Robin Hood the good!
For a contest, feedback welcome.

On the paper of life
We wrote the stories
Of love and emotions
With the ink of pain
Dusted with the glitter
Of broken dreams
The words of loss
Bleeding from the pen
An unfinished tale
Of ruined beings

Another bullet walks through flesh
A stream of claret trickles through
Requiem of the dead is again played
As another soul ascends to light

Day by day a body hollowed
Only lifeless remains lay on the ground
Waiting to be judged on Earth
Or remain forgotten evermore

A heart of steel can feel nothing
Yet the coldest of bullet will never ****
If no grudge blazed in this inferno
No steel will ever touch a skin

Among these burned ashes
Burned bodies, burned souls
Will one find peace inside?
Will one find a reason to live?
