Some days,
I think of the ways I used to cut myself open.
Just to peak at the
pounding red rivers
hiding below my skin.

I miss the ways,
cutting myself made me feel.
I felt pain,
but the pain wasn't as bad as
the pain in my heart.
My heart grieving at the smallest inconvenience.

Some days,
I miss the ways,
no one knew
this ***** secret of mine.
How I was the sole keeper
of the map of my scars.

I miss the ways,
that sometimes,
someone would find my map.
Someone would find it disturbing
and I desperately miss the ways,
sometimes, someone, would care.

and then, all at once,
all the sappy love songs
finally made sense
because, then
i wanted to see you
come back
to come running home
to come back
running to me.

Loving someone is like you're always ready to let them go. Most people tend to hold that tiny string so as not to lose the knot. We are so much afraid of losing the people we love. When in fact, it was just a mere attachment. If we love someone genuinely, set them free. It sounds like a cliche, an absolutely overused one. But, no doubt that's the bittersweet reality. Let that someone find his/her true happiness. If they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were.

Yes, we are always euphoric if we're in love. Being with someone we love is like you are living in a fantasy world that you don't want to wake up. You always feel that ecstatic, deep and profound happiness. No room for being lethargic. When you're with that person, most times you'd feel that you're lost but you're not. There's a feeling within you that you cannot fathom, that you don't want to end. But then again, there's no guarantee. We don't know what tomorrow holds.

And, to the ladies out there. If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.

And, to the gentlemen/man out there, please stop giving false hope. If it's really over, please tell it outright that you're not coming back anymore. No more run around. We can't continue doing this. If you must go, please do. And, I'd be glad to hold the door open for you.

Something about you
makes me feel at home
You're nowhere near
the familiarity of home
But something about you
makes me want you
to be familiar.

Time stands still when I’m with you

It’s chaos and stillness all mixed into one

Just enough air to breathe but not enough to speak

Arms wrapped around one another as if to brace ourselves against the clock

I’d open my eyes but I’m far too weak

Eyes closed, but definetly not asleep
A poem about someone else

You pour too much, honey
You can give some to your self
Your bones were not meant to be broken apart
And to be given away as a parting gift
and your heart isn’t gonna take itself to sleep
to give way for another heartbeat
to succeed in making more songs for life to be lived
you deserve someone like your self
your lungs collapsed when you breathe
for anyone who needs serenity
you turn your back to your own battles
you were afraid to go home
when home became just a place
and you don’t know what happens next
you tried to cry
but the rivers were enough for you to sleep, so why?
You tried to look at your path
But you carelessly joined a troubled soul
And you waited for the aftermath
You knew.
You live by faith
And how it would lead to a better fate
You,
You tried not to worry about your pain
Learned how to live and love and die in vain
You deserve someone like yourself.
And not someone who broke you apart
Not someone who decided you were too small
For the eyes to see
Never someone who rated your worth with your color and melody
You weren’t gray
Nor the gave the slightest hint of happy
You provided yourself as the safety net
You never had one for yourself.
So, you,
You deserve someone like yourself.

stop searching for others' happiness.

Where there's a love that doesn't fade
there is also a light without any shade.
Where there's a purity without any taint
there is a place or someone very quaint.
