Our days roll away like dropped coins.
Individual moments are continually lost,
Often never to be reflected upon again.
But the epochs of a full life remain,
Safeguarded by the cushions of our couch,
Waiting for when we are in need of a treat.

It will all stop abruptly
I'll be hit with a lack of presence
New cold hands
No more forehead kisses
No more late night cuddles
That get us in trouble
Because we sleep all night
And miss class the next morning
The drives around town when the sun is down
Unplanned pizza stops
With jam sessions in the car after
All will become a thing of the past
I don't want to believe it will happen
But I know that you will leave
Walk out my room, and never drive back
Exiting abruptly
i wrote this two months before it happened

Yes, it was an incredible aroma,
I walked past a shop called, "Pizza of Roma",
In our little Oz suburbia,
I'm having pizza, not to disturb ya!
Tantalizing scent is this,
Yah, pizza, full of bliss,
Ah, aroma incredibilis!
Feedback welcome Have a laugh.

"What do you want"
she said

the will to carry on
a reason for my existence
some sort of direction
in my life

but she was only going to the shops
so
pizza and beer again

when I am far away
looking to outer space
the nicotine inside your pocket goes to waste
an aesthetic is all that we chase
so deny yourself another memory
my dear, familiar face.

I stopped believing in love
Love has left this, bad taste in my mouth
It has a bad ringing in my ears
Yet everyone around me thinks that love could help me
Love has broken me
You cannot say that love can help me
All I have dealt with because of love is
Pain
Loss
And a lot of betrayal
Like don’t get me wrong…
I love my family and friends
But if you asked me if I “love love” someone
I wouldn’t have an answer
Just thinking about that answer right now
It’s leaving a bitter taste on my tongue
Love has been overused
“I love Pizza”
...would you marry that pizza?
I doubt it
“I love him...but he doesn’t love me yet.”...
Why does love have to this big gesture
It’s like the word “hate”
When people use the word “hate”, they automatically correct it
“Hate” is a “strong” word
Guess what!
So is the word “love”
Want to show someone that you love them
Ask them about their day
Talk to them
Listen to them
Acknowledge their successes
Comfort them during their failures
Love should only be used when you are truly ready to say it
And it needs to be sincere
Don’t say it because your partner said it first
They should understand that it’s not easy saying those 3 words
Sometimes those 3 words can put a knife in someone’s heart
Especially if you rush love
Love will come
When love is ready

Dominoes On Pizza

Look at you,
You look so delicious.
No one can hear you,
You are godless.
Oh little pizza,
You look so tasty,
All I want to do is put you in my mouth!
The taste and feeling,
Takes me to my higher self!

I like to play dominoes on pizza,
Adds another dimension of flavor!
A nice thick base!
With tomato paste!
Clothed in cheese!
Sporting meaty toppings!

I like the taste when it’s fresh outta the oven!
Not when it is reheated the very next morning!
Oh my sweet little pizza!
You bring a rainbow of flavor!

I lift you gently up to my face,
A quivering lip reveals my excitement.
You look like a great appetizer!
You shall sedate my endless hunger!
At least till the next one.

Slice them!
Dice them!
Eat them!
Digest them!
I love the taste of a screaming pizza,
It brings in a very interesting flavor.

We met at a park by your place,
A hill overlooking a lakeshore vista.
The sunset hung over the horizon
As did our words, awaiting conversation.
The nerves got to me and so I flung my phone,
Your laughter a cacophony which my heart still adores.
We had pizza on a bench that night,
Or at least we tried;
Nights at the park have more bugs than we'd like.
But after all the talking and laughing and grinning,
It's our departing hug that sent me spinning.
I'd give everything to have that time again with you.
But alas, I needn't give anything,
For our nights are still this rich and full of youth.

When love arrives,
It arrives only to leave again.
Coming back to another again.
Another time,
Another arrival.
The same streets once laughed and grinned in.
When love arrives,
It arrives as that familiar face
Strolling down the street without a care in the world.
A personality in the wind mutual to which steps to take.

When love arrives,
It arrives with a certain taste.
The first slice of readily made pizza.
Made hot, fresh.
Pepperonis covered in cheese.
Knowing it's favorite place, love.
It's soon to leave until the urge returns.

The pizzeria tucked in the corner.
The pizzeria no one knows about.
The pizzeria that can be found in each and every city.

When love arrives no matter how many times it leaves.
No matter how good the taste,
It is never really gone
