Think about all the people
you wouldn’t have met if
you had never broken up-
Think of all the things you’ve
learned since then.
Think of all the travelling you
wouldn’t have gone on and the
photos you wouldn't have taken
and the laughs you wouldn't have had.
Step outside yourself
and look at who you have become-
remind yourself that you made
the right choice.

Some days will crash
And burn
And flames will rage
And hail reigns, and all you can do is bruise

Please just be patient
It’s only one day
Tomorrow all your pain will be ancient history
You may feel broken
But please know that it’s not the end
You still have time to smile
You still have time to mend

The word
change
isn’t always heard right.
It doesn’t mean
bad,
evil
nor wrong.
It might mean
mad,
dashing
or bold!
But above all else
it just means
different.
Change isn't always a terrible thing; think optimistically.

You don't need
a 'better-half'.
what you need
is to make yourself
whole again.
I know not what I am
But I sure as hell am scared
Sometimes I catch a glimpse
and wish I had not dared.

I haven't been myself I mumbled,
it's been a short 4 years.
Yet everyday I am humbled!
to be honest with my fears!

Surviving off whats left of my self loathing
are the devilish voices that I used to feed.
Watering my mind's garden is refreshing
and THAT'S the energy that I need!
This piece has a very surprisingly optimistic point of view by the end of it.

It isn't always the light
at the end of the tunnel
or a brand new
sunrise
you see at first.
No, the first light
usually comes
in the form
of a person
during dark times.

A drunken angel,

She, the one seeing the possiblity in every risk.

Breathe in
Your coffee every morning
Breathe out
The nightmares of last night
Accept
Your cat brushing against your leg
Decline
His apologetic lies
Welcome in
The clarity of brisk air on your walk to work
Throw out
Her unwanted baggage
Embrace
A new day, the sun, the birds, what lies ahead... independence-- you're not alone.
Push away
Everything which ruins your evening, paranoia, grief, the unknown...
The stars are yours to hold
Your life belongs to you again
Breathe, accept, welcome, embrace.
