You don’t like to pick favorites
You dont like to narrow your interests down to one
That should have been my warning
I coundnt be your only love

If only
she didn't let him go.
If only,
if only she had known.

If only
this hurt doesn't last long.
If only
she could be strong.

If only
she could tell him.
If only
the light wasn't dim.

If only
she didn't wait.
If only,
but now it's too late.

And my feelings are here only
To Feel your hearbeat
body only to be with you
hands only to touch you
Voice only to talk to you
Eyes only to stare at you
Arms only to hold you
Words only to make you happy
I'm here for only you.

This is our time
We have been called
To say NO! MORE violence
Against woman and children
They can become great if we
Become the CATALYST
Remember a child only has one chance
It is written in support of
16 days of activism against gender based violence on woman and children here in South Africa
HELP make this GLOBAL thanks HEPO
of what is a love poem
for me, to me was

always cyclical
first noun
then pronoun
then nothing

noun loves me,
pronoun loves me not

noun loved me last week
prounoun loves me not this week

noun will love me evermore,
pronoun, poe-no, nevermore

a name is a noun
a pronoun is a substitute

for matters of love I announce forevermore
only call me by name
no substitutions

even cycles must end,
only call me by noun-name,
forevermore

Tell me tell me please you'll come back

Just in a single word
try penning first
and foremost on mankind.
It can only be 'love'!

If only,
Sleep did not limit conversation.
Distance did not limit interaction.
Prudence did not limit possibilities.
Weak muscles did not limit contortions.
Pain did not limit endurance.
Life would be perfection!

And yet,
Without sleep, who can speak coherently?
Without distance, is proximity as sweet?
Without prudence, would life continue?
Without motivation, why exercise?
Without pain, is pleasure as enjoyable?
Perhaps limitations are camouflaged benefits?
Somewhat ironic how sometimes the things we hate the most, actually help more than hurt.

Ask me not how far
it's only a day
and night space apart!
But its been like this
since time immemorial!
