We saw a world
bruised and beautiful
The world kept moving forward
constantly in motion
while ours fell apart

Currents
by Michael R. Burch

How can I write and not be true
to the rhythm that wells within?
How can the ocean not be blue,
not buck with the clapboard slap of tide,
the clockwork shock of wave on rock,
the motion creation stirs within?

Ah! Sunflower
by Michael R. Burch

after William Blake

O little yellow flower
like a star ...
how beautiful,
how wonderful
we are!

Deep dark night
Helpless, state

Miserable plight
Cool and bleak

Wintry landscape
Unknown faces

Cruel blow
Strange air

Poisonous water
Stinging earth

Strange paths
Motionless movements

Voiceless calls
Senseless imagery

Weeping cries
lyrical emotions

All jerks, activities
Noises, announcements

Agreements, decisions
Every deal and done

Heartless, motionless
Helpless state

Miserable plight
Voiceless calls

All with my pangs
Only calling You

Make the all norm
With the warm sun

Illuminating rays
Eliminate darkness

Scrolling too fast
Through all the awkward scribbles
I try to read them
For me at night it’s better
My eyes were closing
For the day
I make myself car sick
Without the car
Just awkward motion
Word scribble sickness
Does that exist?
It does now
Trying to read everyone’s work. Thank you to Soul Melody I borrowed some of her lyrics.

Didn't you hear it
Insistent pounding
A distant rave
Or, more like, thrumming
A steady motor
Regulating
Growing deeper
Doppler shifting
Must be moving
Ever further
Exploring
Retreating
Heading for some farflung meeting
A severed murmur
Faintly familiar
But...
Did you not hear it

Every motion that you make,
Will lift me of the ground.

I'm so happy that you're around.
My latest poems kinda ****.
I'll come back when I have some good ****.

Time may be elementary
moments lost in motion
Quiet periods provide
a power in between the lines
It's potency lies from within
Some gifts are given but not received
and hard to read for us to
see these silent signs

You keep on travelling for years
Moving in one single direction
With your other two siblings
Who keep running faster than you

But what do I see?
After so many years of walking
You are still not much far from -
The point, you started your journey

The same situation applies to -
Both of your siblings also
Who are energetic than you
Even they are taller than you

But why it Happened this Way?
I Guess, It was because
A part of yours is tied together
With the Point of the Origin

O my hour-hand of the Clock
I know, you always showed
The correct hour of day and night
Since years and years rolling on

But do you know? You are cursed
To keep on walking and walking
Reaching almost nowhere
Even after travelling for so many years

Do you love this? I feel, You do not
I think, I really feel your pain
I keep on thinking why time is -
Measured in circular motion

Whether time really repeats itself
Or we just assume like that
Just for our own convenience
Who knows? Do You?
I accept my ignorance. What about you?
