Blue tinted lips,
Curved round at their edges,
Not quite candor,
In what they choose to convey

Blue tinted lips,
Growing frost in the bitter cold,
Lifeless yet living,
A mask for your purple corpse

Blue tinted lips,
Drowning thoughtlessly,
In the indigo ocean,
Surrounding your burnt out head
Sandoval Sep 2017
His lips tasted of burnt
galaxies,

and broken
promises.

The perfect combination
for prolonged
tragedies..

I'd rather **** on a cigarette than kiss your lips ever again.
It'll take nicotine at least twenty years to **** me.
It took you two weeks.

A cigarette is dedication.
You were just a bad habit.

The moon illumined
the night,
perfect scenery
for two hearts
succumbed
to fiery emotions,
burning blood
all over our bodies,
our knees trembled.
The silhoutted stairs
are so quite,
I could hear your
whisper of longing,
I grabbed your hands,
and pressed my lips
against yours.
You devoured it.
My lips are yours.
I am yours.

You say silence,
the most beautiful kind.
You touch fiction,
soft as a lover's mind.
You hear hiatus,
strong and clear everytime.
I feel you,
and it's like all of it combined.

how to write about love
when you've never experienced it before
when all you've ever known
is the heady, warm rush
from the bottom of your belly
to the crown of your head
as you hug her
the difference in heights
allowing the divot between her *******
to cradle your cheeks
you go up on your toes
to aim your lips
on the soft, rosy skin of her right cheek
looping your arms around her shoulders
her arms automatically encircling you
your lips smiling against her cheek

one day
you took aim with your lips once more
reaching for the pure, white expanse
but she, too, took aim with hers
looking for your own pale skin
and the timing couldn't have been more wrong
or right
as your lips crashed onto hers
for a single moment
time at a standstill
two different bodies
a pair of mouths making contact

she pulls back immediately
and you don't even register
your feet carrying you to safety
in the crowded cafeteria
its busyness somehow calming your anxious heart
as you spend the rest of Valentine's day alone

kisses aren't quite the same
aren't quite as relaxed
a layer of stiffness neither of us can
or want to uncover
her hugs aren’t tight
but her smile is
as she waves a half-hearted goodbye and turns
to aim her lips
on the bump of her boyfriend’s cheek

We dance, two silhouettes under a laundromat
that inch and creep closer like mice, black blips
on a blizzard earth thick with moonlight that lean
and dip, dodging icicles to touch cold fingertips.

Her knuckles in a thin wool sweater, she slips
into the hose of my big overcoat as I brush
snow dust from the nest of her chestnut hair;
wet tennis shoes kiss my slick leather boots.

I stand too close to the sun. The warmth blows
the snow asunder, and sets fire to my lungs; as
my fingers begin to stray; pools of cocoa, lined
in eyeliner laid too thick, draw my face to hers.

Automobiles and meaty mid-afternoon meals,
red bricks and evergreens, trains and frostbite,
skyscrapers and knee scrapes, all leave me and
dissolve in amber bubbles as I lick her liquor lips.

The moment when you came closer,
And brought your lips near to mine,
When your breath makes me feel warm,
Melts my heart and intoxicates me like wine.
That feeling,
indescribable,
so fragile.
Something you make me taste,
Becomes my flavour favorite.
But, never again did I taste your lips,
Or see that beautiful face.
The memories we made are still present in my mind,
Haunting my heart like a sweet maligned.

These lips don't speak lies,
Nor fetter truth,
They utter nonsense,
And here's the proof.
Go 180 proof,
Perhaps you'll find that truth I talk of.
Though, what do I know? I'm just a po' boy
Parading a poet's tooth,
No better than that a drunk Denny's mascot,
Pancaking in a different diner's booth.
