It has been said to me, "An act must thus ensue,
So that no one can ever see it's the world against you.
Yet that battle can only be fought behind the stage,
While everyone else sees you smile into your old age."

But they only love the mask, they only know the act,
They couldn't care any less for simple truth or facts.
By the end, perhaps, I'll finally believe,
And truly, completely, the world deceive.

I don't know where I'm going,
I scarce remember where I've been.
Still, blindly I am rowing until I reach that bitter end.

I'll be on that river by myself, all alone,
The truth is still unknown, the act all that remains,
For by now I am the mask of a man without a name.

I’m an imposter
I’m a phony
I’m faker than Barbie

I claim to be a perfectly fine teenager; I’m an imposter.
I say there is nothing wrong; I’m a phony.
I smile all the time; I’m faker than Barbie.

I'm just one big

Carbon Monoxide

I would like to believe
I was born in the clouds
amongst the angels,
bathing in so much sunlight
that now I can't help
but despise it.

The truth is,
you denied my heart
too many beats;
my heart's a bombsite
filled with carbon monoxide
and all your lies.

My own blood curses me,
dripping with your name,
I try to tell it we're
not the same;
I can't stand you,

You heartless, cruel monster,
imposter.

Aspire to belong
Impersonate an imposter
Before you say
So long

To mistreat fate
And suffocate imperfection
Was never really wrong

A disguise for the blind
Generations left behind
With barely a whisper
They exit the limelight

The happiness dissolved
Too many problems left unsolved
And many more arise
As the chamber is revolved

No-one really wanted this
Prescriptions for problems to be fixed
Teenagers with scars and abuse
And no reason to live

Dark hair and dark eyes
Stormy clouds and rainy skies
Rather than condemn them for how they are
How about you help them to survive?

Show them a reason to live
Teach them not to forget but to try and forgive
For a memory forgotten is a memory unimportant
But remind them every day not to try and relive

Those horrible times, those relentless monsters
Who try to force you to believe that you're an imposter
Not who you really are, not who you want to be
But would much rather you be the destruction they see
This was inspired by you, SPT. thank you.

true love is not a declaration
     it is a demonstration
true love is not how you feel about someone, it is how that person makes you feel about yourself

Imposter,
I shall wait,
Until the day fate,
Puts too much weight,
On my shoulders.

I will wait for the day,
To call you prey,
As i am done playing games,
I will start calling your name.

I will wait for the day,
The day I almost collapses,
And on that day perhaps,
I will get a helping hand,
From the true loving man,
That you wish to be.

Love finds a way,
And so does fate,
Just know I shall never betray,
My true mate.
