what is the meaning of love ?
is it the sweet touch of a significant lover ?
a hug from a parent, a mother ?
a friend who is there for you through thick and thin ?
when someone says those three words,
'i love you,'
what do they mean exactly ?
cause i have yet to feel,
yet to figure out,
what love is all about .

You are my light,
My hope, my guide.
The hand reaching out,
The reminder to breathe,
The arms that hold me,
And take all the sadness away.

You are love,
The kiss I look forward to,
The hug I never want to let go of,
The person I want by my side,
For the rest of my life.

I hugged a tree today
In a cozy little forest nearby
I felt the warmth wrapping me up
Like a present of the longed-for kind
Children tremble upon opening

I hugged a tree today
That, some may find rare
Indeed there was this guy
Passing by
I smiled mildly,
I bet he's still wondering

I hugged a tree today
The lividness left me
In the company of my tree
A company so cordial
Just complete tranquillity

I hugged a tree today
I don't know of the vibrations
Thought to exist within
But I do know of mine
Running down my spine

I let go of the tree
Departure time has come, it seems
All I needed was for you to be
Always there for me

We always smile,
When we meet again.
We hug so tight,
In plain sight,
We escaped from a cruel exile
we ran from our daily chores.
We always smile,
As through all  our pores,
When we meet again.
With our hands clenched
Not wanting to ever let go,
Then side by side
We start to go,
To nowhere.
Usually, I always stumble
On invisible rocks,
But when we walk like that,
Side by side,
With hands clenched,
To nowhere,
You are the one
Who stumbles now
And we laugh in unison.

I’d like to know
What is to be loved
I’d like to feel
What’s an affectionate hug

I never knew
But I’d like to know
It’s never too late
To mend a damaged heart

In a throbbing pace, the river flows,

Enclosed by the fence, the cow moos,

Across the bridge, next to the rose,

Standing on the ridge, our eyes cross

Water in the falls, pounding perfectly on the ground,

At the foot of the walls, lay pebbles round,

Scouring the sand, nature depicts its might,

Like a man mad, I stand watching it right

In the hand a red rose, beatific grin like a bride,

Stormy waves rise, inviting you for a ride,

In a low voice, humming a tune,

Evidently rejoice, on the cliff I mute

Hands locked together, fondly folded,

Not minding the weather, eyes momentarily blinded,

Like a movie star, keen to avoid a hiss,

Ending the perceived war, response a soft fond kiss

Resting on the bar, holding the rail,

One leg on the spar, an incoming mail,

Dad restless in the lounge, sitting on a mat,

Anxious for the launch, on his bald a hat

Her love is urgent
Coming quick,
Reaching out with both arms extended.
Her love close to my heart,
Our feet no longer stray,
The result of prayers made on both knees.
Her arms give more than take
Finding their way inside mine.
Providing a warmth awaken by the tick of hearts.
Her love urgent,
Time assent.
My nose lost in the scent of her neck,
My arms tight around her.
I don't want to go.
Tomorrow a world away.
I don't want to wait
Her love close
Pressed tight,
Just beneath her chest.
Each throb in the palm of my hand
Reaching out with both arms extended.
I don't want to go.
My hands no longer by my side.
Her love ever more urgent
My love waiting my whole life for her.
