even on a day
like this one
   when

   with all the blue sky
   and the sun

life suddenly
looks grey in grey

so different
from the day before

I do love you
even more

Shadows of Night Jan 2016
Cast out of heaven,
For having a heart of darkness,
Not accepted into the depths of hell,
He's told that he has a heart too close to the light.

In between,
Neither white nor black,
Caught in the middle,
The colour grey.

He's the darkest angel in heaven,
He's the kindest demon in hell,
The wrong side of righteousness,
The right side of despair.

He's made a world of his own,
Rejecting the light, turning away from the darkness,
He's made a new definition,
Of the word 'broken'.

He's beyond saving,
So he's saved himself,
Pulling himself up,
Standing on the line of good and evil.

you are darkness,
or so you like to pretend to be,
i am light,
or so i’d like to be,
but together we are grey,
together we are human,
or human enough,

the world is grey
and dark
I don't like the grey
its boring
and plain
and then
you come in to it
and the world is
full of color
and light
and its...
beautiful
and bright
but then you leave
and it goes grey
I see friends
and there
is a bit of color
but its faded
and dull
but then
the rain comes
and washes
the grey away
and color returns
but then
the puddles dry
and its grey again
I'm
alone
help
me
no sorry
I'm fine
really I am
I'm good
its grey
so grey
I hate grey
and thats why I draw
and paint
so i can put
artificial color
in the world
when i go
to museums
i see the color
in the art
but outside
its grey
i love books,
stores
its warm
and filled with stores
and stores have color
thats why I read
thats why i dance
because the
movement
fills me with
color
thats what
this world
has come to
people looking
for color
for light
all there life
sometimes
we don't find it
and so the world
is **grey

he pulled rainbows out of clouds when the skies were dark and grey,
he'd do this day after day,
as if to show her the beauty can show from underneath all the pain.
even though he couldn't make her pain wash away,
he could try to push it back so it would fade to a smile,
making her laugh for just a small while,

his job was to serve her,
and show her how to be happy,
even when happy days came by fewer and fewer for him,
he got up and did his best to make her happy,
pulling the rainbows out of his sorrows and showing her,
see, things aren't always as bad as it seems,
sometimes he wished someone could open their heart up,
and pull there rainbows out and show him how to be happy,
but no one did,

and each day he tried to make her smile,
as she smiled more he smiled less,
and her rainbows grew brighter though,
and his faded into the black and grey of the skies,
as if never to come back,
who ever helps the people, who end up helping everyone else.

I thought the cold air would help
But there's only ******* smoke
Free ****, I'm living the dream of a million burnt out lungs
with capillaries astray -

Sadness is a comfort
Happiness burns against my eyelids
It sears against the grey -

Age doesn't matter as long as you pay
Head high to keep the nausea at bay;
Visions blur, thought the alcohol in my
backpack somehow took effect
it was just the ******* smoke.
woah, It's been a year since I visited this site. (It's been a year since I wrote a poem).
Yeah but Beijing pollution ***** I threw up 5 times yesterday

Such a grey day. As slow
As slippery roads beside my
Bare trees swaying faintly in
The breeze. The air tickles my
Skin with tiny pinches of chagrin,
And I wait and wonder whether
Rain is either
wind or weaving weather into
weeping wisps of water and
Wading into what puddles, mud,
And muddle we sometimes find
Ourselves in. Just breathe, my
Friend. It’ll all be okay, in the end.

I've learned to doubt purple,
When fat white flakes cascade,
In ice blue eyes and winter skies
In a December rain parade

I savour the red,
Umbrellas and scarves unshed,
The blood doesn't pour, but the fireplace roars
Soft and alone in my bed

I swim in the grey,
Soft skies like seeing seas sway,
Puddles on tar,  frost on the cars,
Fat drops, like the birds, fly away

How many of us refuse to heed warnings?
In these times of darkness
red can be just another
shade of grey...
