your gaze. so loving.
your touch. so gentle.
your smile. so happy.
your love. so selfless.
the way you always know what i’m thinking.
the way you hold me tighter in the morning when you have to go.
the way we have conversations with just our eyes.
the way you rock me when we hug.
the way you love me is so right.
but so wrong
because you... are hers.
Hurt to depths
Ready to die
Deadly accused
Of all weaknesses

Sentenced to jail
In mortal body
No revival
No blessing

The Inquisitor
Sentenced me:
Soul to ashes
Heart to pieces

Worn-out heavens

God was tired
He wouldn't see me
Loving her
Again,
On the ground...

A sunflower from me to you
It is not much, but
I am sure it will do.

This is a bit corny
And a little cliche, but
This is what I do when I express my feelings.

When a certain person feels a different way.
They get a single flower not a whole bouquet.
This is to tell the other person that:
‘To the world they may be one, but
To them they are one big world.’

Cupid is blind, yes we know.
And he surprises people when he plays around with his bow and arrow.
You may never know whom you might fall for.
All you know is that you got struck by an abstract called love.

So you get a single sunflower,
And without expecting anything at all
You say to that person…

“Anodiwa shamwari, iri ruva kubva kwandiri kwauri, nekuti ... ini ndaida kuti iwe uzive kuti ndinokuda iwe kupfuura zvaunoziva.”

So this shouldn't change anything,
Especially how you see me.
I am still the same person as I was yesterday.

I do not wish to be with you.
We are not right for each other.

I just wanted to give you what grew in my garden.
This sunflower is to not be watered, but
Left to die.
Discard it if you must.
It is just a sunflower… nothing special.

When I see your face
I'll swear I'm dreaming

When you call my name
I'll swear it was the wind

When you pass me by
I'll swear it's in my head

For in what time
For in what place
Could we simply be
Just you and me?

Forbidden by all means
All odds against us
Yet still, through it all,
I stand firm against the crashing tide
To stand against the test of time
Waiting ever so patiently
For the chance of your return

For the possibility
That you may come again
Into my life
Grace my ears with your laugh
My eyes with your visage
My arms with your embrace
Even just once more

Darling, my days and nights
Crawl by like an eternity
Every moment you are away
Is a moment I wish to cry out
To proclaim my love for you

Alas, if such were voiced
All would come undone
Those around would indeed surround
Circle in like vultures
Tearing apart my poor heart

So here I stand
Upon the cliffside
Suffering in my silence
Hoping you are safe and well
In this chaos and violence
Of these troubling times

Innocence to one who knows
Distracted, poised, and then composed
The proper place shall never be
Light, laugh, child-visions see.

The blossom young can never hear
The beauty, grace, or trembling fear
That beckons weak to taste the scent
Among the flowers, time is spent.

Spring is growth and time and trust
Mine is over, short, and must
Fall away as summer reigns
Flowers bloom in lovers’ lanes.

To tug the gentle petal young
Whose golden voice above all sung
Within the growth there is one rose,
Innocence to one who knows.

Well versed and wise beyond the years of his birth
His soul was old, yet his body fresh
As I rise with the sun and lie when it sets, my thoughts are consumed
Both challenged and inspired by the words we share
They are brief, still ever poignant
At times, there are none - but a glance
Still ever poignant
And the breath leaves me for a moment

Purity is something your body once knew
When you met me your lips were sealed
That night our skin touched purity was filled with sin
You made me feel as though my body was a temple only meant to be seen by you
Which was only the truth, you watched me every night as my head hit the pillow
Sleeping was the only way I could be away from you.
Do you guys like my poetry?

In one ear and out the other you whisper sweet nothings
I’ve always been told to listen to the truth but no one ever said why
The devil says if I fall in love with him I’d be a ***** sinner like him
Being a ***** sinner never seemed so pleasing until I met Lucifer himself
His eyes daring and lustful, my mother always told me I could find the good in others
I whisper back only to receive no reply
Feeling your grip tighten around my hips bringing me in
I feel my lips split. I can't catch my breath, where have my wings gone?
Once a god now a sinner your sweet words filled me with hope
Now I live with misery with your name tattooed on my heart
I was a god meant for your cage.
Hi..another one thank you
