as she lied down
on the cold empty road
not knowing which direction to go

I asked her
over the phone
while stuck in traffic
just trying to get to work

The emptiness in everything haunts all I do
Truth behind the silence makes it hard to breathe
Fall before the morning leaves me on the floor
The goodbyes are all I hear and see

It scares me you moved on so fast
Dark beneath the hum of day
Light within has become so very small
Voice that I long for has nothing to say

And broken heart continues beating
Afraid how that can be
Scars I wear inside and out

In this frosted bite of sheet cake...

distant
tower
with the
blinking
light
is
ok

the
solitude
among
other
mortals
is
ok

the
whelming
sense of
being
lost is
ok

the
neat
glass of
scotch
from the
isle of
skye is
ok

the
divorced
lesbian
with two
kids at
the end
of her
rope
is
ok

the
minuscule
fly that
landed
on my
forehead
in the
bathroom
this
morning
is
ok

everything
is
ok

even the
things
that
aren't

they're
ok too

That moment in life,
When you feel like, You are losing everything.
And all you can do is,
Just Stand there and watch.
