Hit & run..
It only takes one to be over the limit.
Joshua Church May 2020
The sound of rain stopping
Under the bridge
Hammering on the hood again
Long drive ahead
Time, an ever flickering flame
Makes you wonder where you stand,
If there was any other way around
To control it, mend it, change it
So that it won't rebound
The vibrations of time make you astound
It hasn't been kind, you say
Another minute, an hour, a day, an year you thought was there to stay
You didn't know when it flew by
I guess we'll wait for some time until this storm subsides...

Are we all meant to walk a path or should we strive for changing it?
And in turn, changing ourselves, with this passage of time
Pondering about the past and future from where you stand is itself a crime
So are we the criminals or were we robbed of time?

A moment of pleasure, a moment of pain
Ever wondered what's the last stop for this train?
Dust of the future, landing upon us today
The chaos and havoc of the present making your plans sway
Is it time for a change?
Is there any other way around it?

Time, for ever-flickering, is also ever-changing
Changes for the good and the bad
There's no hiding, but maybe we're on track
To drive the winds of change
By embracing them ourselves from the inside
Devoting it towards self-growth and development
Maybe we'll mentally hold on to that idea while letting destiny drive us
Towards a brighter future or a bitter end.

Move on, all alone, if you have to
There's all too much of this agony
The world is suffering but what's there left for you
Let that drive you towards creating a difference
And march closer towards your victory...

As I climb, as I rise high looking down upon the vibrant haze
I'm preparing myself for the next phase...

the things i never said
running circles in my head

wanting to throw them at you
shove them into your brain too

i try to dance it out
dance and laugh and shout

scream loud hoping you will hear
but you just hide out of fear

obsessed with your brown eyes
that make up the center of your disguise

come dance with me
dance with joy and ease and glee

those thoughts that make me so alive
take them for a drive

like we used to go
putting on our perfect show

so sick of denying
all the frustrated crying

just keep me steady
until i'm ready

(to let go)

Incident Report 74399 2020
JIMMY BOOM SEMTEX

Obsessed with speed
I was that
Round the dial
Engine ******* screaming

Me racing them
Or just myself
Not ever stopping
After we collided

Something about movement
Positive insane velocity
I could drive
Surely the best

Crap limited cars
Only slowed me
Past all limits
How I grin

My workmate screams
Watch the lorry!!!
I swerve by
We speedily escape

Till the crash
Which patiently waits
To painfully end
All my fun

Floor the pedal
Skid swerve race
I refuse slowness
Pushing one litre

Risking old banger
Put me there
Behind the wheel
I'll ******* drive

A man possessed
By my shadow
So much speed
Don't dare worry

For little me
Or my casualties
Eat my dust
Hear tires squeal

Smell rubber burn
There goes Jimmy
Crazy ******* ******!
Passionate to race

Open road track
Safety not included
An opponent needed
Or just myself

Again cheating death
For how long?

1am thoughts drive me outside to the stars
the wet grass and night breeze remind me
it's not a bad world
it's not a bad life
it's just a bad night to stargaze
clouds litter the sky,
but somehow stars still peek through
clouds roll on
and somehow they unsteady me too
I could lay here for hours
in the uneasy silence of the night

You better stop it
Something unexpected
Might just end up injuring you
A press in a step
A footprint permanently stained
Might just end up with things railing off
You better stop it
Look what you’re doing to me
My drive is alluding your well being
You’re on my ***
Ready to backstab me
I’m not driving for revenge
You better rearrange your lane
Because if you don’t I’ll check you
You better stop it
Driving me crazy

He was a magnetic mystery
She liked him that way
The things she didn't know
Unable to drive her away
I couldn't stop myself from titling it this rotfl
