Dancing under violets
In a medow filled with light
A storm was fast approaching
But was never in my sight
Took an innocent victim
As he slowly lost his life
The medow filled with clouds
That made it dark as night
No longer am i dancing
For without you it's not right
There's not a song that i can dance to
Without you by my side

Dance with me
my darling
upon the balcony
in the moonlight
cheek-to-cheek

We can whisper about
the shrouded past with smiles
and promise each other
all sorts of pleasures
one last time

Just close your eyes
my love
ignore the sound
of the wrecking ball
and i will hold you tight

even if for only a moment longer...

remember when
you nearly fell
off the bench
because someone
pushed you?

remember how
i slang an arm
around your waist
so you wouldn't fall?

remember how
you stared into my eyes
smiled and thanked me?

well,
in that moment
i'd have loved
to kiss you
but instead
i just
smiled back
and continued
to dance
with you

We lock eyes across the bar
Hit pool ***** with sticks
Clink glasses filled with drinks
And dance badly to songs on the jukebox

We buy shots with our friends
Gossip on the stairs
Hug when the night ends

The student soundtrack to our love story
Went to a writing group, wrote this

she was just the shadow of a memory
dancing in the night
a faded silhouette

the windows have frosted over
shattering pinprick traffic lights
into stellar beams

teahouse tables pushed to the side
soft swing music floats overhead
we shed our coats and our inhibitions

clasped hands and an arm draped
softly on the small of my back
we stumble and laugh

snow falls in the night air
the room warms with music and joy
and we dance
A snapshot memory from the first snow, a night filled with music and friends.

Some may think it odd

                    to see me outside

     dancing around

with the wind as my guide....
This is a small bit of a poem that I wrote a long time ago... I need to find the rest of it... I just remember this line... I thought it was cute... I actually used to do that hahaha and still may occasionally now if the mood strikes me hahaha... XP  woah! a poem from me that's not a haiku!  hahaha X'D

I have so many stories, yet none.

But there once was a flower in the corner.

It told me something of importance, something it clung too, yet didn't.

It danced under the moon.

I asked "of all places, must I ask, why the moon? Isn't it just deep?"

"It is nothing deep, yet even more so then ever," it said, "I'd much rather prefer a mess of comfort, than a cleaned smile."

That flower treated the moon not as a gatekeeper meant to take you to the next day, but as an old friend that will always be.
I love writing about the moon

I was dancing with my demons the night we met,
you swooped in and took control.
The most confident soul I've ever met,
the way you studied me,
the way our eyes met.
You had no idea who I was, still you fell,
for someone like me, who you just met.
That night you stole my heart and ran
Gave me a high I've never met
made the demons even more cruel
-
I didn't mind, cause my life was doomed
before we even met
Dealing with depression and falling in love can be a dangerous mixture. At the end nothing really mattered, cause my life was already falling apart. Might as well keep dancing til the music stops.
a shimmer of lights
stillness of the night
patterns made by the stars
gazing up at what could be ours
the cold air kisses your face,
wrapped in blankets like a warm embrace
the sound of leaves caressing the trees —
a lullaby, slow dancing in the breeze
moonlight peeking through the shadows
a whiff of nature in the atmos
it was a beautiful night
