Rain, rain go away,
Because of you, the pain will stay,
Slit my throat, cut out my heart,
Leave me here, tear it apart,

Poison tears stream down my face,
My heart beats at a steady pace
As I try to stand again;
Alone and standing in the rain,

I don’t need you anymore-
Is what I think while tears pour.
I hate you like I hate my life;
But love is what cuts like a knife.

Love is death and death is you;
Its pain stains like a black tattoo.
Those memories come back again
And bind me in the ropes of pain.

Crimson blood streams down my head
like a long, silk ribbon, tied by a thread,
to a platinum bullet, a hole in my skull…
…now just a memory that’s faded and dull.

petals
in the wind
floating gently
to their final destination
bloodred scarlet
already started
to wither
in the gentle
wind.

sparks
fly
from an explosion
sparks
turn to flames
petals turn to ash.

ashes
in the wind
floating gently
to rest
upon
a crimson
bloodred
flower.

Crimson.
My favourite colour.
It has been since grade 3.
The colour of blood.
The colour of my shirt.

No.
Not anymore.
You stopped.
It's still my favourite colour.
He made me love another colour.
A colour I once hated.
A colour I looked down upon.
A colour that appears on my face.
Pink.

the crimson blood slips from your veins
onto the bed with crimson frames
staining the wood deep red
so you'll forever stay in my head
Bummer Apr 2019
I held my bleeding heart in my trembling hands and offered it to you in hopes that you would protect it.
My wrists were soaked in crimson and my face was stained by tears but you still looked to me as if you loved me.
And you took it. And you held it. And for a moment, I thought I was safe.
Then you squeezed it. Harder and harder. Until breath could no longer escape my lungs. Your black nails, streaked by red, dug sharply into either side, and with one last effort,

You
Ripped
My
Heart
In
Half.

It was all you had to protect.
It was all I had to give.
Like the heart, we were split in two
Making it impossible to live.

Red
Your cherry coloured lips used to
bring the coral blush on my cheeks.
But now it boils my crimson within,
leaving my face all scarlet with rage.

You were the apple of my eye,
as precious as ruby to me.
But now, wine and water seem the same,
and jam never tastes as sweet.
What changed, dear Rose?
Why have you faded?

you were the rising sun
creeping over my horizon,
filling my skies with dazzling bursts
of deep ambers and lavenders and crimsons
sending heat waves coursing through me
brushing the edges of my clouds
your silhouette imprinted on my eyelids
your shadow stuck to my feet
your taste scorched the roof of my mouth
i felt you in every inch of my skin
and i didn't mind at all

Crimson forces of dawn,
Pardon cowering failed night;
Change of reign again!
