I try to close my eyes
Because when they are open I tend to realize
things I hate to admit but that I despise
To me it is no surprise
to see the division on each side
Stereotypes are being idolized
Human beings are not being individualized
not being identified
Just stamp them with a number
222-33-4444
Send them to school to make them
Smarter
but dumber
to the reality
They take the unbalanced lead
of what stares at me
but moves passed me
I am followed by the past me
Inevitably,
we are
who we are destined to be
Because of what was taught to me
I have chains on my wrists
in this country
but they say I am free
while they distract me
subtract me
yes, me
but you too
Because we are one but we are two
Unity
You and me
me and you
Don't lose yourself
if you are lost, I am too

I sit, stay still, and let you yell at me.
But it needs to stop, not later. Now.
Because of you I am changing
Not for the better.
I'm becoming something rather than myself.
I'm becoming what you are causing.
I'm becoming You
A **Monster...
I'm turning into my worst nightmare, and you ain't helping one bit baby.

My ancestors (i hesitate to even call them such)
came to this land centuries ago
they came with nothing
hoping to start a new life
but this is not about my proud heritage
not about immigrants following the
American Dream (Nightmare would be more accurate)

No
my ancestors
my White Anglo Saxon Protestant ancestors
descended upon this pristine landmass
like so many parasitic WASPs
injecting their prey (the people, the land) with venom
laying their eggs that would **** the hosts upon hatching

No
my ancestors
who helped perpetrate an ethnic cleansing
the likes of which 20th century fascists could only dream of
did so under the title of Manifest Destiny
divine right
their religion masking opportunistic genocide

No
my ancestors
laid the foundation
for the greatest country in the world
where ALL (White, English, Heteronormative, Cisnormative, Land-owning, Slave-Owning, Women Hating , Native-American-Murdering, Capitalistic, Perverted) MEN are created equal

No
my ancestors
partook in genocide
condoned slavery
oppressed women (and every other divergent identity)
destroyed the environment
and did so with such arrogance
such unheard of righteousness

No
my ancestors
were the lifeblood of America
the lifeblood of oppression
and that blood runs through my veins
the screams of American-Indian Warriors
of African Slaves
of Women labeled Witches and Gays and People of Color and anyone who opposed the hideous behemoth, anyone who dared to be different

their screams echo in my head
and i am ashamed

Curse are the living,
For death is easy.
Gushing wrath of olden winds,
Stab with potential.
Go ahead raise our dead.
Ease them from their story grave.
Pray they crawl out on all limbs.
Ask you your blood,
Don't you dare refuse.
Ask you your truth,
Don't your dare lie.
Coz they already know.
They've swirled around and they've been Here before.
Walked on death leaves,
Death revokes death.
They know they've been here before
Ask you your life,
Don't you dare tell.

If I should die tonight ill go out with my eyes wide opened,
Corrupted mind being cleansed from the joint im smokin' ,
Who are you to tell what a person's views should be,
I hope you don't birth kids into this insanity,
Fill your thoughts with false information,
money for wars while kids die from starvation,
I will never give in and I hate this place,
YOU are the ugly in this "human race"
I hate people. Especially people who brainwash their kids from the get go about religion, politics, etc.
White lies
Morsels of truth, embedded in
the main course of inaccuracies
preying on rights
driving on what isn't being told

Injustices
made to be light,
weightless
an insufficient souffle
holding no matter
but that's all a
matter of opinion
turning everything else
"the black truth"

Dinner table full of corrupt politics
But,
I'm not hungry

Ordnance of the wealthy, corrupt
Sculpting the public image.
Garnishing with admiration, cloaking gall.
Mass ****** and grand larceny
Have to, in some way, come clean in the books.

Money is fabricated out of thin air.
Know that you don’t know anything.
When debt is created, pockets are lined
This is the white way in a dark world.
When the receipts are missing, the cash is stashed.
Black must then become white for the sake of tax.

All of this ultimately boils down to charity.
Deplorable or reliable, evil or honest
Easiest way to wash the attic and eyes of the tax officers.
Feigning effigies and respect in the face of media
As they donate to those they’ve stolen from with a hearty smile.
Neither will recognize, but be eternally grateful the other exists.
Just another excuse to wake up in the morning and not feel awful.

color me the hue of your cigarette ash;

slam broken beer bottles in to my palm

and wipe the blood on an old t-shirt.

paint me pretty with ***** red lipstick
(stolen from my mother)

and stuff me in to china doll shells.

you say “this change will be good for you”

i say “this is too fun to stop”

my father says “oh good god, what have you done?”

but darling, let’s not listen to anyone else,

and continue tattooing memories on our skin.”
